What would you say to them?  How would you react?

I would probably start crying and tell them how amazing they are and how much they really mean to me.  I probably wouldn't shut up until I said it all lol.

I know this was kinda random lol.  It just came to me, so I just decided to post it.

I would probably loose my ability to make any sense, lol.  So probably it would be better to know that I would meet them then to round a corner and have them right infront of me, lol.  ;D

The sad part is that if I didn't know I was meeting them and just ran into them on the street, I'd walk right by then lokk back and say, "Was that... no... yeah it was." If I had the courage I'd probably call back to them. However I dont know for sure. ;D

If I knew I was meeting them th first thing I'd say to them would be "Thank you."

I would probably do the same.  Although when I realized it was them, I would probably get all excited and run back to them and say "OMG!!!!!" and start crying lol!

So, if I knew who they were, if I didn't faint I would ask them the following question:

Are you really human?

I've been wondering that for quite some time. I would tell them how great they are and how they help make this world a better place. I'd probably get really nervous and not know if what I'm saying is great or not. But it won't matter because I'm meeting the girls from Celtic Woman! That would be totally awesome!

I am totally with you!  Especially that question!  I wonder if they're really human or if they're ANGELS!  lol

I would scream for about two hours, then eventually say hi.

I would do the exact same thing... I would probably be walking along and see them but it wouldnt really register in my brain, until they are already past me and then I would suddenly be like...was that...?....no...it couldnt be.....and yes i would probably call back to them.  oh and I would definitely lose my ability to speak

Actually I did meet Lisa and Orlagh in a parking lot. :)

I'd probably hyperventilate for a few minutes, and then I would start stuttering while fighting back tears, and then after all that was done, I'd probably start telling them how much it meant to me to hear them sing and how amazing they are, among other stuff. :D

With Lisa, I was getting out of the car and I made the great opening statement. Your Lisa. I am a fan then we talked about her being here with Riverdance and traveling with the Kids. With Orlagh, we talked about a friend of mine who was dying of Cancer. No a single word about CW although it was Carrickfergus that had grabbed me.

I'd say yo wassup. 

I am so jealous lol!  I would love to meet them!  Those were probably really awesome conversations, and the one with Orlagh sounds so sweet.  Sorry about your friend.  I know what it's like to have a friend dying of cancer, but it's so awesome when you have Celtic Woman around to make things alright for you and your friend again.

Would probably start stuttering too. Still do occasioanly. Then have a nice conversation with whoever I would meet. It seems that any of them can talk to any fan like a long time freind. Would also mention how much I love listening to them and how much I enjoy seeing them anywhere. In person or on TV.

If it was Lisa or Lynn I would just stand there and stare at them and while I shake there hand have trouble letting go of it lol. Probably talk gibberish. The funny thing is if they ask me a question and I'm all like Da Da Da Duh which I assure you will happen. Alex would probably be the same way. Chloe and Mairead would too but I'll probably recover easier for some reason. Meav might be okay and Orla might be okay for a bit lol but the worst would be Lisa and Lynn because after I would speak with them I would be like "Did I just do that"???? OMG OMG Yeah in that situation it would be hard to recover!!!!

I knew  I was going to meet two of the girls at the Toledo show.  I had several items I wanted to get signed. I bought both of the girls a box of Cheryl & Company Cookies, pretzels and Buckeyes in Ohio State boxes. Inside each box was a personal note which expressed my feelings about CW and what they mean to me.  I wasn't sure which girls I would get, so the notes were kinda general, but still expressed my feelings. I wrote the notes cause I knew I would get all emotional if I tried to tell them how I feel. At the Meet and Greet I met Lisa and Alex.  I was sooooo excited. I shook hands with Lisa and said I was so happy to meet her. She asked if I liked the show....DUH...it was my 5th one. Anyway I asked her to sign the Tinkerbell CD liner. She looked through it and said, "This is the first one I have signed." WOW!! She was gracious and beautiful.  Then I moved over to Alex. We shook hands. She began signing my pictures. We talked briefly about the LDS church of which we are both members. She noticed that there were two group pictures that Lisa had not signed, so she scooted them both back to Lisa who graciously signed them both. My point in this whole essay is, I was busy getting things signed and didn't really say what was in my heart. I was glad I had given them notes, which did express what I felt. As I walked away from the table, Lisa said Goodbye Barb.  I turned and said keep singing!!! It is an experience I will always remember.

That is so amazing!!!!  I got to meet Lisa and Lynn about 2 weeks ago.  As you said, I forgot EVERYTHING I wanted to tell them.  I feel so stupid because the most important thing I wanted to say was how much their music has affected me.  I know for sure, that if I do M&G next year, I am writing down what I am saying and taking it with me!  They were so kind, and I feel horrible because it was Lisa and Lynn who were asking the questions, not me!!  If I were to meet them on the street, I am sure that I would freak out.  I would have no idea what to say.  I'm also very shy, so I could see myself freaking out inside, but just letting the girls go right on past me.  haha  However, they are my idols, so maybe I would speak up!  I am not certain though!

Well, I know for a fact that if I saw ANY of the girls walk by, I would be frozen in place for a moment or two. If they kept walking away (like, if they didn't notice the weird girl stopping dead in her tracks, wide-mouthed and teary-eyed) As I notice this, I'd finally bring up the courage to sta--I mean follow closely behind without being noticed, making sure that they are all in good moods ::) If all is well, I'd probably shyly walk up to them - heart pounding, hands clammy with a nice sort of nervousness - and probably say something like, "Celtic Woman?" (Y'know, just to make sure, lol! I've been in a few predicaments where I really did mistake Mairead and Lisa at the mall one time for two other women) Thank God I didn't say anything though! Talk about embarrassing!
 Woo, getting off subject. Anyways, yeah; if they were indeed Celtic Woman, I better as well make sure that I'm lucky and have a friend with me; I would indeed probably pass out...
 Haha, okay, I'm just kidding; I'd be tearing through my purse or something for them to sign! Also, if it were Mairead, I'd probably try to joke, look down at her shoes, and then go, "Okay, so your feet do actually touch the ground!" Or something like that, haha.

Hahahaha!!!!  I would be the same way!!!!!!  If I saw one of them just randomly walking down the street, that would be so weird!!  I think I'd be frozen for a second, trying to decide if it really was one of them I was seeing.  I'd want to desperately run up to them and ask for a hug and an autograph (though, knowing my luck, I wouldn't have anything for them to sign, not even a piece of regular paper, so, note to self--put a piece of paper in your purse, haha), but I'd be too embarrassed to do that.  Like, I wouldn't want to bother them if they were just trying to have a normal day, but shoot!  I would want an autograph!!!  If it was Lisa or Lynn, I would pray that they would remember me as one of the twins (hey, twins are memorable!!   :D)!!!!

I hope I`d be able to tell them how much I enjoy their singing and that I`ve seen them a couple of times now and thoughly enjoyed the shows and just thank them.That`s for Lisa, Lynn, Chloe and Alex. Now if Mairead was there, they`d need a shop-vac because I`d melt into a puddle.

There's so much I want to say to them--so much I'm so grateful for.

If I could get past either the excited stuttering/crying/giddyness....hopefully hello.  And then hopefully go further and explain how each of them have been a total angel and my joy and peace through everything and how much I love them and how EXTREMELY grateful I am to them.

Most likely I would probably say "excuse me while I shutup" and just stare at them for about 5 minutes in total disbelief and being just totally awestruck. Then probably, like some of the rest of ya'll, say something dumb.

I'd probably do what Ryan did on The Office. Look them straight in the eye, shake their hand, and say hi, then move down the line, hi...hi...hi...hi...hi... then freeze.

You mean what would I do...before or after I passed out? XD I'd try to breathe and then I'd try to tell them how much they've changed my life for the better, how much they mean to me, and how thankful I am for all that they do.

Gosh....If i just RANDOMLY ran into Celtic Woman on the street....what would i do? IF...that's a big IF i actually got up the nerve to say something....which i'm thinking I would haha...only for them though....I would probably think "Oh my gosh, it's Celtic Woman"...but then my thought process would be as follows: Ahh!! I can't say that outloud!! i want them all to myself!! i'll "subtly" (that wouldnt' work...but i would think it) walk up to them and say hi.  Haha i would probably be like "oh my gosh....you're celtic woman!! oh my gosh!!" and just have this like shocked/super extremely excited grin on my face!! haha and then it would hit me that the one day i decide to take my pen out of my purse WOULD be the day that i would HAPPEN to run into CW!! b/c w/ my luck...it would be!! haha hense...i always have a pen with me!!! haha i should always carry around something for them to sign....okay...rambling lol but i would definitely ask for an autograph....(and as i'm thinking about it...i should carry a camera around with me too!) and a pic..."if" i had a camera( ;) ) haha and most definitely a hug!!! haha

Being me, I'd gawk and gawk at them for who knows how long...and then squeak out a "hello" in a "oh-my-gosh-I-can't-believe-it's-them" kind of tone. Or I just grin stupidly, which is what I do 99% of the time whenever I meet famous people, lol.

Oddly enough... I got faced with this dilemma before my show.
And what did I do? What I felt was the right thing to do. I let them be. Yes, Lynn was merely steps away from me, but I still treated her like anyone else. And that's what I would do. Treat them like normal people, because in all reality, they are.

You've got a very good point there Chris.  I'm amazed that you kept your cool (because I dont know what I would have done).  So major props for you. :)

Yeah, I really have no idea how I would react if I saw them just walking down the street or wherever.  I would want to just run up to them and be that outgoing kind of person, but, unfortunately, I'm not.  I know they are just normal people, but it doesn't seem that way, you know?  I would hope that I could at least say hi and perhaps get a hug!   :)

I'd be way surprised, since they don't just go out strolling together, I'd think.  That said, if it were now, in the Garden State Plaza or somewhere like that (no tax on clothing in NJ as opposed to NYC), I'd probably do a double take, turn, whisper "Celtic Woman?" to them and see how they responded.  If they were receptive, I would say hello to each lady, tell them how great their music was, and right now wish them a Merry Xmas and tell them I'd be seeing them in February.  Then I'd ask if I could take a pic with my cell phone if I hadn't my camera, and see if I could squeeze a few hugs out of things, especially from Chloe and Mairead, who are the best huggers in the group (or were, I don't know what kind of huggers Alex and Lynn are). :)

Whenever I think about him (which is only ALL the time) or I hear or read a news report ...I throw on CW. They have been my saving grace for a long time...so yeah...I would say Thank You to each and every one of them!

I would need time to prepare something to say or I'd be mumbling all over the place! First, I'd most likely scream, then say a whole bunch of stuff that didn't make sense. HAHA. But I'd definitely thank them for being so insanely phenomenal and for sharing their incredible talent with the world!!

This actually DID happen to me, and it happened to be my favorite!  Not like I dislike any of the girls-it's like the characters on the TV show Friends; Joey may be you favorite, but you still love Chandler and Rachel, right?  ;D

Anyway, back in October, long story short, I ended up walking on the sidewalk towards my car near the Koger Center, and there was Lisa crossing the street.  I managed to (miraculously) keep my cool and she signed a page in my history notebook for me!  However, if it were another setting other than what it was, I more than likely would not have approached her, i.e. very close to showtime, or other place where the timing/manner was inappropriate.

I would have expected myself to trip, fall, become suddenly unable to speak, etc.  Maybe if all the girls were there my brain would go into overload...

I DO however remember that my heart started pounding and beating VERY fast when I recognized who was walking towards me.

That is EXACTLY what would happen to me!  I would be staring really hard, trying to make sure that really is who I think it is coming towards me!  Then, when I figured out that is who it was, my heart would start pounding and I would get very nervous.  hahahaha

Funny thing is, when I met Lisa at our M&G (at the Koger Center--so neat), I was only nervous up until I walked up to her.  My heart suddenly stopped pounding as soon as she introduced herself.  That was very cool.  :) :) :)

Ya mean she J-walked! Naughty Lisa hehe

I hope I would be able to hold it together long enough to tell her (or them) how much I enjoy their music and how it has helped me through some difficult times (like now while I'm unemployed and getting really frustrated with job hunting).


Now back to working on designs for my Smithsonian Kite Festival entry (and Yes, it's a CW themed kite).

I'm not really sure how I'd react. I could say right now how I THINK (or would want) I'd react... but I doubt it'd happen that way. I'd probably be nervous & excited. They're amazing women.... I'd be speechless probably.

I would try and I did say try to keep myself relevenlty cool!  And yet you don't know who you might c b4 and after a show in cleveland walking sown 17th! BELIEVE ME! I think I might be prepared or not!  I just might get kinda smiley and excited during a meet and greet for goodness sakes! But I pretty much met a lot of actors before famous broadaway people and what not!  And yes the first time that happened (johncudia - phantom of the opera!) Lets just says a made a bubbly first impression and he thought it was kinda funny and yet I calmed down and  hoggedhim to my self and my 2 cousins j/k! and the other two castmates like human beings!  And that goes for meeting the cast of wicked to and didn't even now it (well it was cold)!  I'v been thinking... If I ever meet the girls on the street or a m&G I will treat them like normal and say sweet things!! I think I would be okay!  and then be lik what just hit me!  I might ask chloe for a hug and on the street a picture!  But I woud treat all the girls if I met them all like they were my sisters or even a casual small conv.!  I have been thinking bout this for a while like I am a part of them! and maybe bable like this to a little b it to them like I know them or something or really famous in my eyes! ;) and yes say sorry for bumping into you!  that'd be me as usual!

I would be a blabbling idiot, I think.  Especially, if I am ever lucky enough to meet Lynn.  I mean, I know what I would like to say, but I don't think the words would actually come out.

I know for a fact that when I'm excited for something I tend to get nervous, shy (for some strange reason) and extremely quiet. But after that stage is over, I tend to talk way to much that it gets to a point that I start switching from english to spanish that I don't make any sense. lol They would probably look at me and think I'm weird or something lol..

So, I have gotten to meet Lisa and Lynn twice, and now I can say WHEN I met any of the members...sigh...hahahaha  I had this whole thing planned in my head of what I wanted to say to them, and although I wasn't actually nervous meeting them, I completely blanked on EVERYTHING I wanted to say!  I just stood there while they did the talking and I had this goofy grin on my face. hahahaha 

I think I will get stoned for awhile and anyhow will try to praise them whatever I've planned in my mind. I wouldn't want to miss the chance to praise them!
But, I think I will forget everything when I meet them in real, like in Jen's case. ;)

Well my wife and I have run into Máiréad twice in the last 6 months or so. The first time was on the street last fall in Saracuse NY outside the theater a few hours before the concert. She was walking arm-in-arm with the piano player (no not David, the other guy). We just said hello.

Then in March we were eating in the restaurant in Proctor’s Theater about 2 or 3 hours before the concert. My wife sez: “Here comes your girlfriend!” and then starts waving wildly and mouthing “How are you???”. I looked up from my hamburger and there’s Máiréad standing right next to our table with a big smile on her face!  :o It was obvious she was in a hurry so we just exchanged some greetings and pleasantries and she was off toward the stage door.

I was in this situation and i ended up not saying more than 2 sentences to them..........TOTAL....not 2 sentences to each of them

i would either cry, laugh, sweat and shake, or talk in jibberish. everytime someone asks me something like that, i'd say "i would DIE!!!!" lolz

Stunned is the only word I can find that would fit the situation. Then until one of them spoke I'd be speechless and probably acting like a kid in a candy store!!!

I go speechless...happened in during my latest m/g :( i think and think bout what i wanna say and then its my turn and i go blank....Next time it'll be different hopefully :D

If Lisa was in front of me, I would ask her how her private art collection was coming along. (inside joke)
The others I would say Hello and ask them how they are.

I would probably cry, unable to voice my feelings of how much they mean to me. Especially Chloe. I would probably just fall into her arms balling my eyes out telling her about how much I love her, and how much she means to me. And I'd tell her how beautiful I think she is, on the inside and outside. Then thank her for being such an amazing role model for me. And thank her for being a part of Celtic Woman, and showing me that there really is true, quality music out there, and she helped me find it :) I'd probably also tell her that it's SO amazing to meet her..... too amazing for words, and that I've waited most of my life to get a hug from her and to tell her that I love her :*)

 It  would  depend  on  which  one  it  was  for  me,  I  think.    :-\

I've met 9 of the 12 CW ladies (plus 2 husbands, some parents and 3 sisters) as well as many of the chorus and band members.
They were all very nice and friendly.  They like to meet fans and will sometimes even pose for photos.
The only one who really disappointed me was the lovely Rosemary when she said she would not run off with me. :D
I have not met Meav, Hayley or Deirdre (YET!).

  December  19th  I  ( MIGHT)  get  a chance  to  meet  Hayley if  she  decides to  make  herself  available  pre  or  post  show  in  Madison.  ( fingers crossed)    8)
