I know this doesn't include everything, so if you want something included there, just tell me. I can change the poll to include it - and you can also change your vote. Oh, but its so hard to choose! I love them all! I voted for the "Orinoco Wave," however, because I like the way the camera pans slightly around the girls as they do it. It's a great shot and really plays up the performance. It gives a sort of regality to them, if you will.

My choice is with Lisa's outstreched arms in The Voice, but was not a selection.

I said the Spanish Lady Shoulder Wiggle. Five of the six CWs do it, so its representitive of most of the group. Its fun. Its upbeat.

That option is now available! There's also an "Other" option. ;)

Very, very hard to choose any one "Move" over the other. Did pick the "Orinoco Flow Wave" as it always was one of my (many) favorites. Not to mention the little "Orinoco Flow Step" too, that Lisa, Meav and Orlagh do near the end of the number. I'll tell you, I love things like this but oh so hard to choose one over the other. I was always hoping everyone saw what I saw. By that I mean, every, single little move, or glance, or look, or head tilt, or skirt lifting/holding ... all these little things add up and make these six Heavenly Angels and their shows all the more lovable and enjoyable. I was hoping others saw these little things as I see them.

I really enjoy the other Look from Mairead.....and Lisa's arms in the Voice.....and the Orinoco wave.....and Spanish Lady wiggle...then again, there is the Washing dishes look.....

How can one pick a favorite move.  Every move they make is a thing of beauity and totally fitting the song they are doing.

This was an extremely hard decisions, as I love them all!  But I chose the Spanish Lady Shoulder Flex because it just seems like they are having so much fun when they are doing it.

Well the thing with this is that its more a Lisa signature move than a group move. Granted though that no one specified it had to be a group move, just a CW move. And it is a very striking image when she raises her arms, with the lighting and music combined, very effective.

I voted for "other" simply because I didn't see the "found others on the way" gesture from Caledonia. ;)

Good point Anderpaw. That's a great gesture with that song. I had a hard choice between the shoulder moves and Mairead. Mairead has soooo many facial expressions and moves. What a little imp!

The list of moves seems to be growing and growing.  Perhaps we should keep working out what all the possible moves are and make a final list.  Then, have faceoffs or some type of tournament to help narrow down till we come out with a final champion of the moves.   :)

You excpect me to pick one? Are you crazy?! I am just kidding! I love all of them but I had to pick the Orinoco wave. I like the Orinoco step too.  "the Look" kills me everytime I see it!

I was just watching the Dulaman video with Meav and I thought of another move.  When everyone is applauding at the end she turns and swishes her skirt. I just enjoyed that and thought I'd share it  :D

Oh gosh the list is so long, I'll just keep it at other, even if you come up with all the moves and there are no "others." ;D

Loni, you indicated we could change our votes but I can't find any way to do that. I sort of settled the first time out and now my favorite is up (Thanks, btw!) I love Healing Clutch (and not just because I suggested the named, either.) It owns me every time I see it.

In the concerts, the Chloe skip is the best because she does it after almost every song she sings.  Very cute!

That is why I called it the Chloe Skip, at first I was going to call it the Sing Out Skip, since that is where she really does it good on the DVD..but after seeing her Live, yes, she does the skip more than once, and she is the only one that really does it..its so cute! ;D

In "Mo Ghile Mear" when Lisa is singing " Keep the flame and still believe" she closes her eyes alittle bit. I like it.

I watch the dvd too hard!

I've seen all those moves and every time I watch either dvd I always notice another eye blink, a small gesture, a wisp of hair moving, a grin ,a look. There is always something new.

If I were to name my Top Three, it would be:

~Spanish Lady Shoulders (!)
~Lisa Dragging Orla (Muhaha)
~The LOOK!! (Mairead the devil happy person!)

I love them all. But I chose the "dragging look". That picture made me laugh. :D I never noticed that look on her face, I guess I have to put on my DVD. ;D

My favorite "move" is not listed either --- and "other" is getting to be too large of a category.  My favorites is the way Lisa swirled her skirts in the song where she was wearing the long, medium blue "peasant" dress! SHE IS BEAUTIFUL!!!

In the Sky Dawn and Sun song, you can see Mairead wave her bow around in the beginning of the song. When she standing in the backgorund with her right arm in the air! And for you clock watchers, it is at 1:43 and at 2:14!

I'd probably have to pick all of the above too.  I've just recently got the DVD and started watching it, but I've noticed all these and a few more that I'd pick. 

When Lisa raises her hand in Caledonia and says "They've withered, now they've gone"

But this one is my favourite, I call it "The Voice Crescendo", it's at the end of the song, when she hits the last note, holds it and raises her arms, then gives like a celebratory lift as the note dies out, as if saying * I nailed that song * (because she definitely did!)

The 'peace stretch' actually occurs earlier in the song. The 'victorious Lisa' pose is at the very end. :)

The peace stretch is a different one Tom!  That's when she sings, "Bring me your peace, and my wounds, they will heal", that's about midway through the song.  I'm talking the very end note and her raising her arms! *S*

I love them both, too. The Victorious Lisa Pose (like that name, flip!) is awesome on several levels. For one, it is a triumphant moment for Lisa and The Voice. For another, she just looks freakin' fantastic! (See banner below!)

The withered-now-gone move is capped by it's ending, when she slyly shifts her eyes away down and to her right. Yikes!

Okay, I'd like to reset the poll, but first I have to ask you guys a question. Do you really want the "All of the Above" option? Because I'm thinking if there's such an option, everyone will go for that one and it wouldn't be much of a poll then :D Tell me what you think!

Don't do an all of the above option!  As all-encompassingly lovely that is that would kind of defeat the point of the poll and everyone would vote for that!   ;D

I agree with both posts above. Just choose from the list and have fun with it. We've had plenty of time to suggest other ideas. Yeah and it's too tempting/hard not to "love em all"!

a little tidbit on Lisa and The Voice...

I timed that last note, and she holds it for about 8.5 to 9 seconds!!! ;D

and I just voted for "The Voice Crescendo".   :)

Oh, I have another Move! Well, during the Spanish Lady song: Orla raises her arms up and gives a "look" .50 for you clock watchers! It is a cute look!

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       I timed the last note on Danny Boy and Meav held it 12 to 13 seconds!

Just thinking about holding one note for 13 seconds makes me feel dizzy...

I just had to come bump this with a new move!

During Spanish Lady, when they are singing "As I came back through Dublin City at the hour of half past eight, who should I spy but the Spanish Lady brushing her hair in the broad daylight?" and the camera is on Meav and Orla, Orla does this little shrug like "Surprise!"

I thought Meav did that? Or maybe they both do that...but I've been meaning to add it!

When Meav sings "brushing her hair" she does a really cute little head tilt! I always have to do it along with her when I watch the DVD. And I'm fully aware of my dorkiness.  :D

Well Orla's is less of a shrug, perhaps that was a bad term, she hold her arms out as well and looks surprised and it's a pretty brief shot.  I love Meav's little moves as well...she truly likes to add lots of spice!

You forgot the Scarborough Fair hands across the heart...thats my favorite...

Well, while we're speaking of Meav and Orla during Spanish Lady, I have another one (I think we could point out ones during the whole song  ;D ). When they sing the "catching a moth in a golden net" verse they both lean towards each other and exchange a look. The first time I noticed it I had to rewatch it three times. Funny and cute!

 Ok,ya all,my Connecticut accent(!!)I've got to put in my 2 cents here,(& that's about all it's worth!!=Groucho,1954,I think!!!) There are several more exclusive moves,if you watch them more than 50 times a day! #1-The Dulaman wink,when the young man sings to Meav,he gives a wink that causes her to smile....a smile that would melt me into a thousand pieces,along with most navies of the planet.She has similar smiles for Ray & Nicky,which reminds me,she must be on loan from THE LORD!!! ? ? ? ? ? #2-I know that Lisa sings "the Blessing",as she has mentioned,primarily & understandibly(?) for her sons,but I truly think that,for the Slane Concert at least,she sings a few lines for David,who wrote the song specifically for her.She has so many men in her life,father,husband,2 sons,(sorry Rich),that the moments when she looks at David & sings,Twice,"This is my prayer for you,"then again in"My blessing goes to you to you."Now I'm certain that she's singing to Scott & her boys in "hold me close",but look at her as she looks at David as she sings"you bless me too."There is a certain look of eternal friendship in our lives with very special people,& we may have witnessed that with Lisa & David!Could I be crazy? I had to go with Lisa's grin.  She has such a fun-loving, playful nature that it shows up even in the middle of a beautiful ballad like The Voice.  I've always been drawn to people who don't take anything (including themselves) too seriously.

Actually, I like the whole sequence from the first unfurled arm of the Peace Stretch to that final clutch with the head tilt. It is riveting, beautiful, evocative, passionate, and dare I say, incapacitatingly sensual.

I voted for the Healing Clutch :D I voted for the Spanish Lady Flex before but I felt like something different, and I love that little move of Lisa's.

I love so many of them but I voted for the Orinoco Wave because thats the move that made me first fall in love with Our Girls.

This time I went with the Voice. She sends shivers up my spine so much that in my car or with head phones, I crank up the volume

Well in the Live shows... in Mo Ghile Mear...just as the drum section is going strong..Lisa and Chloe turn and look at each other and do this cute head waggle..and I just about crack up each time I have seen them do it.. ;D

I really like a lot of those moves... the Spanish Lady shoulder flex and the Orinoco Wave, etc.
But I settled on The Grin. :) That's such a cute movement.

There are probably a lot more moves now that the Christmas DVD is out. I can think of the Chorus Split in Drummer Boy... Lisa has a lot of them in The Christmas Song... and there are a lot of them in Let It Snow too.  :D

Thanks to Kathleen I now have a new favorite move,"The Shoulder Flex".However,I must admit,as great a teacher as Kathleen is,I still feel as if both shoulders are going up at the same time! My 2nd problem is, why the heck is a guy doing the shoulder shrug!! I am truly lost! But what a great feeling to be lost in CW!!!Mc

I chose the peace thingy. It was hard to decide between that and the heal clutch cause, I'm gonna be honest, a while ago I got my hair cut like Lisa (ANJ) and I did those two moves in front of the mirror everyday, like, a hundred times over.

I had to go with "The Voice Crescendo"--- I think that is one of my favourites from ANJ. ;D

Well, Mairead lover that I am, The pointing of the bow is just adorable. I've seen her do that now in four concerts, soon to be five , and the DVDs do not show hardly any of it. There is just something about a little pixie running around directing, waving, and smiling the whole time. A pretty little fairy General indeed. Point your bow at me lovely one, I'll follow you anywhere.

I chose the Shoulder Flex....let's see.....a few months ago, I guess.  But now I'm leaning towards the Orinoco Wave.

I'm even including the girls doing the wave in a clay piece of mine! ;D ;D

Tough choices - but I opted for the shoulder shrug. When I saw the ANJ DVD, that little movement really stood out for me. Now, we could practically create a whole dance around the different CW moves!!

Hmm... it would appear that the SL shoulder flex and Voice Crescendo have leading votes.

I can also guess that in one of the numbers called "Let It Snow", I think I've seen all the Celtic Woman ladies shake their shoulders in a line. Lisa on front, Orla in the middle and Mairead on back.

its so hard to choose!!! but i finally chose the SL shoulder shrug because i love that move! they all look like they're having so much fun and i always do it when im listening to this song!! especially when im in the car! lol :) :D

I picked the healing clutch because I think it's representative of what their music does for a lot of us!

oh my gosh, I didn't know that there are more moves besides: The look, the Spanish Lady shoulder shrug, the "not much fun" look, the orinoco wave, the orinoco step, the bow, the chloe skip, the voice crescendo, withered-now-gone, the ceili swirl, the "others on the way" wave, Maireads bow pointing, and the healing clutch. Those are the only ones that i know of.  I never knew about the other ones.  I probably still wont know what they are even after I watch the DVD's again.

It was a difficult choice...but decided to go with the Ceili Swirl :) it's always been a favorite of mine. although i did sit here for a few moments and looked through them a few times lol

you don't have the part in "At The Ceili" where Lisa grabs both of her sides and moves her hips back and forth...i can't remember what she's saying right then...but i like that one too!!  ;D ;D ;D

i love the part when lisa does that!! I laugh every time that part comes up when i watch it AND even when I am listening to the song b/c I just imagine her doing it and it cracks me up!

I haven't been on here for awhile - been VERY busy, then my mom had a alight stroke last week, which has made me even busier, getting her to the doctors, getting MRI done, setting up home health care (for therapy), making sure  her personal bank account has my name also in case something happens (& the account doesn't get frozen against me) ........ things still to be done.   WHEW ! ! ! !


We can only choose ONE ??????     I CAN'T ! ! ! ! !     I like or love so many of them.  The "Spanish Lady" shoulder shrug is up there for me, but so is the "Orinico Flow" gesture, and so it Mairead's LOOK (a KILLER fkirty look). And so many others.

Definately the Spanish Lady shoulder thing, whatever it's called. I also like the Washing Dishes Look.

I voted for The Grin only because it shows how beautiful Lisa is. Even with that smirk she is very cute. Lisa has the best stage presence of the ladies. This is probably due to her theatrical background.
