Kimberly, and everyone else, you can learn about Irish Music and Culture from an organization called Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann - this is Irish for "Gathering of Musicians of Ireland" and this is how you pronounce it - Comhaltas = Coal-tus Ceoltóirí = Kee-ohl-toe-ree Éireann = Air-un Here is the website where you can find all the branches: http://comhaltas.ie For the USA, click on "Locations" then "Choose a Province = North America", then find your State and click on the little flag. They help people to understand Irish culture, music and dance, while having fun. They have branches all over Ireland and the World. As you live in Maryland, there is a branch in Silver Spring, Maryland. Here is the website: www.ccepotomac.org And the e-mail address: ONeillMalcom@comhaltas.net They have some good events coming up soon, it would be fun for you to attend. They also have dancing and music classes. They recently had a "Fiddle Week" which was great fun. Kimberly, look at the website with your parents, maybe they will take you to one of the events if they have time. If you ever go to Ireland you will be able to attend some of the events over there too. Also in Maryland, here is the website for an Irish Dance Group where you can try a class free to see if you like it: www.geocities.com/ringofkerrydancers Title: Re: IRELAND IN DIXIE!
