The fabulous Ireland in Dixie is coming to Atlanta again!
You do not usually see anything like this outside Ireland.....ceilí, step dancing, loads of traditional music, fabulous fiddlers, etc.
PLEASE check this out......I'm just sorry I have other commitments or I would be there with my dancing shoes on!

Wow, that sounds awesome!  I wish I had joined this forum earier and I would have tried to go.  They need to bring something like that all over the states (especially to Texas)   :)

If I need to go to Ireland, I guess there must be places that I can get close to.

Kimberly, and everyone else, you can learn about Irish Music and Culture from an organization called Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann - this is Irish for "Gathering of Musicians of Ireland" and this is how you pronounce it -

Comhaltas = Coal-tus
Ceoltóirí = Kee-ohl-toe-ree
Éireann = Air-un

They help people to understand Irish culture, music and dance, while having fun.
They have branches all over Ireland and the World.

They also have dancing and music classes. They recently had a "Fiddle Week" which was great fun.
