The story of how the album came about is told in the accompanying booklet, beautifully illustrated by his two boys. The songs are mostly accompanied by the very special Sheffield Youth Orchestra, who were invited to accompany Damian and Alex Sharpe in singing John Lennon's ‘Grow Old With Me’ at the famous Abbey Road Recording Studios in London. This day was filmed and broadcast by the BBC. So successful was this venture, that the orchestra subsequently played on various tracks of Disciple. The result is astounding and very beautiful. It's a track where all women can be heard that played the role of Eponin ......okay it is short but only 10 seonds but here's how you really can hear her vocal cords to have to use force. The song is On My Own. The act where Eponine returns from the barricade fataly wounded and dies in the arms of Marius in witch she was in love with secretly.
