that i could spend all day talking with my best friend beth from high school. she makes me laught and forget about stress. i <3 being around her and shes the only person in my life who can make me smile after a crappy day like today. my 102 year-old great-great aunt who is still very with it and loves cw was diagnosed with breast cancer and shes refusing treatment. at her age i cant blame her but its sucky cause it was the same disease that took the life of my great-grandma (her sister) and my other great-great aunt....wish i didnt have to see it again. she and i are really close especailly since her only living sister cele just dided this past january. i try to call her despite the fact its hard cause she cant hear well. pray the end comes fast without too much pain for her. shes lived a good long life and is ready to go home and be with her family agian.

I am sorry about your health issues.  The closest venue that I have seen the girls at is 100 miles away.  As next year's tour schedule now stands the closest location is 350 miles away.  I would have to take off work and have a lot of extra costs involved.  I can't afford that.  So we will both have to wait and hope something closer opens up.

I wish CW would play the Saenger Theater in New Orleans.  The Saenger looks eerily like the Fox inside, with a starry-night ceiling.  With no travel expenses, I might afford both a M&G and a front-row aisle seat.

I wish CW would come back to Saskatoon. TCU Place is a lot like a theater (I've been there for more concerts and events than I can even count :D) and I think it would suit them perfectly. ;)

I don't know where the next tour will go.  Venues big enough to hold a CW concert are booked years in advance, but celticwoman.com says nothing about the 2014 tour.  It's a pretty good bet that there will be a stop within overnight range of New Orleans.  If it's actually in New Orleans, my travel expenses become negligible, so I might even manage a M&G.

Who knows, there might be a concert in just the right place where a lot of people could make it.  Just have to wait and see.

Some of us are in the south and a lot of you are in the midwest.  Maybe some place like K.C. or St. Louis would be a good place.

Yeah, middle of the country would be the best it seems for most of us.  I can pretty much travel anywhere since I would be flying if it was outside of Texas and any farther away than Oklahoma City or New Orleans.  At the very least, those of us in/near Texas should get together next year.  I'm sure they'll be back in Grand Prairie (I think they've been there for every single tour) and probably San Antonio as well.  Kind of surprised they aren't in Houston or Austin regularly as well.

Of course my goal is a show with a M&G, even if it means by myself, although I'd rather have someone with me.  I'd be a nervous wreck if I didn't know anyone else in attendance.

... one of the PBS stations that I can see would schedule the Divinas special.  The published setlist includes "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", and I don't want to wait a year for the DVD to hear Meav sing this oxyhydrogen torch song.  Ever seen an oxyhydrogen torch? No glare, no smoke, just a little pale blue flame... that melts iron.

 Ahhh....I get it  now.....   blue  flame for  that stunning blue dress Meav is wearing during the Divinas taping.  Instead of melting  iron ,  Meav is melting my heart.   She doesn't   blow you out of your seat  with bombastic power, but rather floats you out of your seat  with her soft, silky , dreamy , stratospheric voice.   FYI.... there is actually a sampling of Meav singing this on  the last episode of her  'Score Encore"  appearance as a  musical  judge.  I believe there is  a thread with a link of   this  in the Meav News section of this forum.

Yes we do. It's included in the Basic Channels in our TV package from our Provincial Telecom, SaskTel. We only get the SD version of WGBH (Boston) right now, if we I want to get KCTSH (Seattle) I We would have to spring the extra $10 for HD (since KCTSH only comes on HD from said telecom), and especially with my Dad out of work now, we need to keep track of every dollar we have. :(
I've been trying to convert my parents to HD programming for the last couple years, but the DTVR they give you has not much legroom for extra space. Our TVs are capable of it no problem.

It's always an aisle seat, but there doesn't seem to be a way to predict more closely.  At my concert, it was the guy at the left end of the center section of Row E who got Lambenated, so I presume that whoever was at the other end of that row got Chloe-cuddled.  So you don't need a front-row aisle seat, but you can't be too far back.  I just hope I can afford another concert.  Still almost no information about the successor to "Believe", but the TAR skit is so popular that the next show will probably have something like it with a different song.  It will be CW's tenth anniversary, so we can hope that this one will be something extraordinary.  I've been socking away a few bucks a week, hoping to afford a M&G this time.

Yeah, it's totally random, but I know the general area of where to sit.  Problem is, if there isn't something like this in the show, I'd rather sit front row and there is a time discrepancy between ticket sales and actually knowing what the show entails.  I wouldn't be surprised if TAR remains with the show since as you said, it is very popular.  Nothing says they have to drop everything when updating the show.  And I wonder if they'll consider 2014 or 2015 to be the tenth year.  While the original show was filmed in 2004, it wasn't broadcast until 2005 which is also when the tour started so we may have to wait until 2015 for a 10 anniversary event/tour.

CW first toured in 2005 which means that 2014 is the tenth anniversary.  If TAR or another song next year retains Chloe and Lil' Lambe coming down the aisles and sitting in someone's lap I will try to get an aisle seat a few rows back from the front.  That is not always possible.  I've watched Lisa from a front row aisle seat during TAR.  She comes down the aisle scanning both sides for an appropriate "victim" and usually settles on someone from 5-10 rows back from the front and it can be on either side of the aisle.  So you sometimes just have to get lucky.

I can vouch for that too...yes it is possible!!! It was a very unusual circumstance in which I received free M&G tickets from PBS. Keep dreaming gig5, I've learned that dreams do come true. :) :)

Since there were no M&G's at either of my shows this year, I pulled a "Misha" at the second one and hung out at the stage door.  This was mainly encouraged by forum member Scott.  Forum members Edd (edanargu) and Lester (Texan) were also there.  We got lucky and saw several of the cast.  I got to speak with Anthony, Craig and Dermot and all three signed my program.  It was great and at no cost.

I've had meet and greets, which is how I met them, but I did get to meet Sarah Gannon at the stage door in Dayton, and got a hug ;D
