I was just curious to see what old songs the rest of you would love to see re-recorded in the new special if you had a choice! I didn't include YRMU cuz I figure that'll probably be there regardless. If I forgot one from the list, please tell me.

It's for me a tie between the extended Finale or Dulàman, but ended up with Dulàman.  LL's version is so lively and cute, definately would love it to have a recording of it  ;D

I'm probably in the minority if I say that I hope they don't record You Raise Me Up again. That doesn't have to mean they'll drop it of the live-shows. It just would be interesting to see the new dvd ended with another song.

Orinoco Flow for me. I'm with you MaryN. I love YRMU, its a great song, but I really hope they don't record it again. I get tired of it ALWAYS being the finalie song. Put in MGM for a change or something.

I agree with you. Its beautiful, but they ought to consider perhaps changing it up a bit. And I voted At The Ceili. I LOVE that song!

I was sooo mad that I could only pick one, but I picked At The Ceili!! It's amazing!! And SOOOOOO fun to watch! You can't ever see everything that goes on! And the girls are so flirty and funny in it :)

I'm with you on this one too.  You Raise Me Up is a great song, but I'd love to see something new.

I ended up picking Dulaman, but the extended Finale was a very close second. ;)

I would like for some new versions of old songs that they sing on tour to be on the DVD, but overall, I'm most exciting for the new material!

At the Ceili with LL & Chloe definitely,but I beleive LL would be spectacular doing something like She Moved Thru the Fair.
It would definitely be awesome to see an old one like that revived by her.

Well I picked Dúlamán, but I'm with you... The Soft Goodbye is such an amazing song. They should do a modern version of it.

AND PLEASE tell me we'll get to have Walking The Night/Songs From The Heart on a DVD or CD. Man I just need that so badly!!!!! lol :)

Me too! I love My Heart Was Home Again and Walking The Night/Give Me Your Hand has to be one of my most favorite CW songs EVER!  ;D LisaK. responded in one of the latest issues of The Voice that she was sure that WTN/GMYH will be on cd, so I think there is a very good chance that they'll be in the special. Especially because they're written for CW instead of being a cover.

I also wish to see WTN/GMYH on dvd and to hear it on cd, but it would be a little sad without Alex&Lynn... That song was written for them too.

I cannot choose just one.  I voted for Orinoco Flow, but to be honest, I'd be happy with ALL those songs!  But honestly, I don't care what they put on the DVD/CD, because I love ANYTHING Celtic Woman sings, whether it's an original or a cover.  There's not one song by them I dislike.

Although YES I do want Walking the Night/Give Me Your Hand and My Heart Was Home Again on CD and DVD and also Have I Told You Lately!  I know MHWHA and HITYL are covers, but Celtic Woman sang them so beautifully that it would be ashame not to record them on DVD and CD.  Like I said, I love every song Celtic Woman does!  :)

And sorry to disagree with you guys lol but I would honestly be sad if they didn't record You Raise Me Up again.  That song is a part of Celtic Woman, and for me, I interpret that song as the song that says to their fans, "Thank you so much."  And that song is really special to me too.  That's the first song I heard from them.  It's the one that made me a CWazy.  And because of them, now I sing that song, and when I sing it, I think of them, God, my family, friends, and amazing boyfriend.  That song has really special, powerful meaning for me, and I would be sad to see it go.  It would be interesting to see something new.  Don't get me wrong.  I love when Celtic Woman does something new, but I'm so attached to YRMU.

But again, like I said, I don't care what they record, because they have NEVER let me down in the past!  I know they'll make me happy again!

Now I'm looking at the list again I think that I would love the new Spanish Lady too in the special. I really like the new arrangement, probably even a little bit more than the recorded ANJ-version  :)

I'm agree with Tiffany, You Raise Me Up is one of the most popular songs and the first song I heard of CW (The ANJ Version). Even I don't care what they record because it will always great, powerful, magic... But I really want to hear again the choir do their new verses : "Gonna stand on moutains, gonna walk on sea" I think this version should be on a DVD. If they don't record You Raise Me Up in the new DVD I will be a little bit disappointed but I will have the hope to hear it in the new Tour ;D .

It's hard to choose one song for the poll because I love all songs ! they all deserve to be in the new DVD :D but I see a song for the opening of the new DVD : Princess Toyotomi ::) Why not ? :D

I think it's time to put aside YRMU . It was in all the specials except ACC. Maybe it would be nice to hear it as a brief instrumental playout instead of At the Ceili, to have an emotional finale as in the first dvd with The Soft Goodbye.

Honestly, I LOVE YRMU! I really do hope they use it to end the concert. I'm simply hoping they do something similar to ANJ and have another big power song like Mo Ghile Mear right before that.

If You Raise Me Up will be dropped of the dvd, doesn't mean they'll drop it of the live-shows. They have always done old songs. But those dvd's and cd's always turn out pretty good, so I'll shut my mouth...  ;D The song selection will be wonderfull.

I don't mind if they leave YRMU off. It's not because I don't like the song. But every time I hear them sing it I know another wonderful concert is almost over. That's why I  do want to hear it. KWIM?

As great as Orinoco Flow is, I don't think CW has the rights to that song anymore and can't put it on any new CDs or DVDs. I don't know what that is, but I don't understand a lot of this technical stuff with copyrights.

according to Scott Porter...all NEW songs! I don't think we will hear any old songs on the CD/DVD...

By new does he mean songs they haven't done before or original songs never before performed? (I'm hoping for the later one)

Looks like I havent posted on this thread yet, so I will put in my 2 cents worth now.  :D

I hope the new jazzed up Orinoco Flow remains a part of the show, with all the cool lights and oh-OOOOH-oh thrown in vocalizations that seem so cool. I really want that on a dvd.

Lisa L's Dulaman will hopefully stay. Another thing I want on that dvd.

looks like Chloe will be singing When you Believe again, given the title of the show. But, do we know that for sure? For all we know, they wrote a new song and named it Believe. To me though its Chloe's song and always a favorte of mine to see performed. i hope its in the show

since they are recording this in the USA and in front of us Americans, I hope for a return of Oh America. The crowd will go NUTS! I am betting its in the show.

i love isle of hope isle of tears i  am thinking they remove that and put a replacement group number in. somethings got to go and something new come in.

plus, i think YRMU stays in the show. Its tradition and almost a signature song, although not really since its a cover song. Yet somehow, if its removed, would sort of be like Lynard Skynard not doing Free Bird , or Carrie Underwood not doing Before he Cheats, or Larry the Cable Guy not saying "Git-R-DONE!" I would hope for 1 minor change, that they have Mairead say the "You've been such a wonderful audience, thank you" I love Lisa K doing it, but I just hope to hear Mairead say something, and since she has no singing part, that would be a good, small vocal thing for her to do.

i hope Lisa Ks solos are Fields of Gold and the Voice. Yes, I want a return of that song.

I also hope Amazing Grace and Danny Boy stay. But I am thinking that AG is out, but Danny Boy has become tradition much like YRMU. I bet its in, just done different. Maybe back to a solo for someone. (Lisa K?) But I hope DB remains in the show as a  group vocal a capella.

of course its all just what i hope and my opinion.  whatever they do, its all good.

Even if a song is not included in the DVD taping, it does not mean it won't be included in the new Tour Show.

At the same time, a song performed and recorded at the taping (ie. Carolina Rua) may not be on the DVD or in the new Show.

I "Believe" I will enjoy whatever is the finished DVD Show and future Tour Shows.

David and the Girls have not let me down yet.

You know, I never really thought about Danny Boy! But you're absolutely right! Its such a staple in their shows and its the song that comes to mind when most people think of Ireland. I wonder if they'll pull another ANJ and have them perform Danny Boy in addition to another a capella number? (with ANJ they did Over The Rainbow and Somewhere)

I would like to see some new original songs by Brenden Graham and David Downes! As for old songs I like the new versions of Duleman and Orinoco Flow.

I guess we will all find out together...

Well, my opinion is that none of the old songs will be returning for this show.  I'm basing that on Chloe's quote in the Atlanta Theater Fans Interview that Rich posted on Facebook a short time back.  In the interview, Chloe says “every song will be brand new..."

Yes, it's possible that could mean that some older songs may still be in the show, but that they are completely changed (making them "brand new," but personally, I believe it to mean exactly what it says, that all the songs are ones we have not heard before.

Although I certainly hope WTN/GMYH and My Heart Was Home Again are gonna be included!

You're missing so many songs on that list! I'm going to vote for At the Ceili mainly because it's driving me nuts that it's ONLY on the ANJ extended edition. I didn't even know there was an extended edition until after I bought the regular one. :P
BUT I'd rather see the Soft Goodbye come back because I think they could perform it WAAAAY better now. It would be strange without Méav though...
I'd also like to see Send Me a Song, Dulaman, Siuil a Ruin (which would be strange without Órla...), the Butterfly, and SOOOOO many more!

I only included songs that were on the SFTH tour. Songs that feature the current line-up.

Same singer, but not the same version, though... There's tons of different arrangements of that song :)
