MEAV!!! <3 The best singer I have ever heard. :) Ok get ready for it. This is going to sound stupid. ARE YOU READY?? Yes? Maybe? Ok let's go.

When I first discovered CW when I was in 5th grade, I wasn't exactly a happy child. I didn't have any friends at school and my home life wasn't great. So here it comes...Meav became my only friend. Wow, huh? Meav became my "invisible friend". If it weren't for Meav, I seriously think that if my life had continued the way it was going then, I could have seriously imagined myself committing suicide in junior high. I started singing because I wanted to be like Meav, and it gave me something to live for, ya know?? Then I started playing the fiddle because I wanted to be like Mairead...so yeah.

Would it sound weird if I said, "Meav saved my life"? Well that's what I always think of when I think of Meav, Mairead and CW in general...that's why Meav means so much to me. :)

    Doesn't sound too weird to me CWF.  :)   We are a generation apart and have different life stories but what you say makes sense. There are many folks world wide who consider Meav's music to be healing. I am one of those many. Meav's music and Celtic Woman in general have become a big part of my spirituality.  I dealt successfully  with depression in the past and have been sober for nearly seven years and I have never regretted it.  There are simply wonderful, unteachable qualities in Meav's voice that set her apart. She is truly a standout among standouts.  Meav and the CW franchise have been key ingredients in my initial and continued recovery. And by all accounts, Meav is simply a wonderful person on top of her success and accomplishments. One day I hope to meet her in person and tell her how music her music has meant to me. You are not alone CWF. you will find other passionate "Meavians" on this forum as you get to know us better. Glad you're on the forum.   :) 

Wow..thank you for that lovely comment, that just quite possibly made my entire day. :) I completely agree with everything you say, and I am very glad I have found a site with many like-minded people.

For the past couple weeks, every day I've started going up to my mom and saying,

"Hey mom! You know who's awesome?? You know who's REALLY awesome?"

And then she'll shrug and I'll say, "MEAV!!"

But now she just kinda rolls her eyes and says "Yes I get that Meav is awesome but you don't have to tell me every single day!!"

So today I surprised her and said, "Hey mom! You know who's awesome?? You know who's REALLY awesome?"

And she said, "Meav is awesome. Now stop that!"

But I said, "You're awesome, mom." :)

She liked that. :)

But anyways, that's my random Meav rave of the day. Meav is awesome. ;D

Méav is absolutely beautiful no doubt! Her sky blue eyes! I think she has beautiful body shape, too! She has the best voice I've ever heard!

   I couldn't agree  more. As a musical reviewer from Chicago once said concerning Meav    "........achingly beautiful in face, form and voice.....".  Sweet Meav is truly a goddess.  And I just discovered a Meav song I had not yet heard called "Adagio Amoroso".  I found it on you tube when I was looking up Celtic Woman songs.  It is a gorgeous song, without words, vocalized angelically by our Celtic Songbird. It's worth checking out!  I think I like it almost as much as  "Solveig's Song".  There is no one like Sweet Lady Meav!!!    :-* :-* :-*

I missed seeing Meav because my first CW concert was in 2008.  I wish that she and some of the other former members would tour the U.S. just once and I could see them.  That would be awesome.

I never actually got to see Meav in concert...nooooo.   :'( :'( :'( I miss her!

A Google search for "Divinas tour Meav" brings up a promo for the PBS special that I seem to have missed, with mention of a tour this fall.  Maybe one or both of us will get lucky.

Yeah... it seems that  only  selected  PBS  stations carried the special.  But hopefully luck will be on our side.   :-\

Meav is beauty, perfection, grace, elegance and intelligence.

She does everything perfectly. And I love what she sometimes (not always) does with her voice. I don't how to call it, you can hear it in Beyond The Sea, White Christmas and She Moved Tru' The Fair, als well as many other songs. It's unbelievable!

  I think I would call  what Meav does in those songs you mentioned...." crooning" .   She adds a silky smooth and sultry touch to certain parts. It makes her voice even MORE  irresistible than it already is.   :-*

Meav's "chrooning" IS THE MOST FANTASTIC THING EVER!!!!

I love her facial expressions (especially in Dúlaman)

   Askew is  a good  way  to  put  it.... tilted  is  another.  I  have  also  noticed  her  facial  expressions. Meav  also  has  a way of  "speaking"  with  her  eyes .  Some  of her  mannerisms  are wonderfully subtle - which  for me -  makes them  more  powerful than more  obvious gestures- if  that  makes  any  sense.  And  I  have  noticed a dimple on  her  chin  which adds to her lovely face.

I love that little dimple! She has some other dimples aswell around her mouth.

And I love her little... what's the right word? Squint? The german word would be "Silberblick" (Silver-look/glance/etc.) (Silverglance would be a nice word though... does it exist?)

  Such  a  phrase    does  not  exist in  English, but I  have  noticed  that German words  encompass  multiple  concepts  at  the  same time. I  like  the idea , though...sounds  nice. 

She has a wonderful voice and a great face! She was kind enough to send me an autograph picture. That was the best! :)

I've recently been paying attention to those Méav high notes in "Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring", "Somewhere", "The Soft Goodbye", etc & it just brings me to my knees. I think it's offical. Méav has the most beautiuliest voices I've ever heard.

   Have  to  agree with  you on  all counts  Chandler.    :)   For me, her  "Solveig's  Song "    and  "Adagio  Amoroso"  have  the same  effect  on  me.  And  just  wait until  you  get your  hands  on  Meav's  new  CD..."The Calling" .   :o  I  got  mine early  through  PBS, but it gets  officially released later toward the end  of  August .

Just seeing Méav sing again with CW in the "Sizzle Reel" is so good for the soul - almost like old times again. Cannot wait for the Blu-Ray. Thank goodness it's captured forever.  :)

First of all, Méav's beautiful soprano voice in "Joy to the World". <3 ;D

Secondly, is it just me or is Méav's arms beautiful too?! If you pay attention in the Divinas videos, her arms look so fair and soft. Does anybody else notice that or am I just weird? :D

    I  have  noticed  that too - in  all  the  videos  I've  seen her  in .  (  her  shoulders  too )   :)

I honestly think I have to second everything that everyone has said. Meav is just so perfect.
1. Meav literally suits any hair colour - bright blonde, darker blonde, brown! I think she could have pink hair and still look gorgeous.
2. She has an AMAZING figure. Absolutely beautiful curves, long legs as well.
3. I've noticed she has cute little freckles on her chest and arms. She can officially join the freckle club, although I have MUCH more freckles that Meav does. I'm just a walking freckle.
4. The wee dimple on her chin, ah like me as well.
5. The beautiful liquid gold voice of course!
6. I also love on the HFC DVD, I think, 'We wish you a merry christmas' at a certain angle, you can see the little fair hairs on her arms, awww.
7. Her amazing one liners that she comes out with. I truly find Meav hilarious.
8. Meav's smile makes me melt. Her teeth are like crystals. I don't know how to explain it, but at her canine teeth, she has like a tiny gap or something, I'm not sure, at the HFC DVD, again, at the end of 'we wish you a merry christmas' when she is looking at Susan, about to put her arm around her waist, you can see it. I really love it.
9. Uuugghhh, and Meav's cheekbones!!!! She has cheekbones to die for. I can honestly say I am very envious of those gorgeous cheekbones.
10. And of course....those eyes!!! Stunning blue eyes.

So there you are. I think I should stop there...until tomorrow. It was nice to get that out of my system!

  SWEET   LADY  MEAV  does  have  the  cheek  bones  of  a  goddess.  I  have  noticed  her  chin  dimple  too  ... so  dainty  and  perfectly  placed.   :-*   To  me ....the  perfect  paragon  of  feminine  pulchritude .    ;D     And   there  is  also  something  about  the  way  she  carries  herself- and  her  mannerisms are  ultra  feminine. And  even  her  speaking  voice  is  so  silky  and  sultry. And  her  confidence  shows....and  I  find  that  attractive  as  well.    :)  

I definetly agree with you there! So feminine and just wonderful. I may as well carry on as I forgot to put these in. I love the little hand thing she does when she is singing, you know when she sticks her hand out. And also I love, this is quite weird, when Meav is singing, she has little veins in her neck that sticks out. I don't know why I like that, but I do. It's just goes to show the effort she is putting in when she is performing, lots and lots of love for Meav tonight!!

I just came back from YouTube.  After I watched "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" I looked up the Chambord Castle videos.  I'd seen most of them before, but because of the juxtaposition, one thing leaped out at me.  That dress!  It's now my hands-down favorite Meav dress.  The "merMeav" was spectacular, but that blue one-shoulder gown is stunningly elegant.  I've never seen our goddess looking better.  Another thing that I couldn't help noticing is that in two videos shot nine years apart, she looks no different.  Maybe she's another High Elf?

   I  agree   ..... Sweet  Lady Meav  is  as  gorgeous  as  ever.   High Elf, Queen  of  the  angels,  or  perhaps  she  did  more  than just  play  the  part  of  the  Irish mother  goddess  Erin  in  Lord  Of  The Dance .... maybe  she  is  actually  a  recent  incarnation of  her.     8)
