Title: Glasgow is Burning Post by: Palmie00 on August 22, 2012, 11:56AM For those of you who have struggled to find this song's origins, I found this video of the group "Capercaillie" performing it.
Pretty awesome. I hope to hear an official version from Méav at some point. I think I may have read it would be recorded for her new show Divinas, but I'm not sure. I hope so. Here's this video to the performance. It's actual title is "Alasdair Mhic Cholla Ghasda" Studio: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isL7BzqgLrE (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isL7BzqgLrE) Live: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37rqwWjwZtY&feature=related LYRICS & TRANSLATION: http://www.celticlyricscorner.net/capercaillie/alasdair.htm (http://www.celticlyricscorner.net/capercaillie/alasdair.htm) Title: Re: Glasgow is Burning Post by: barb kantartzis on August 22, 2012, 12:11PM oh thank you for that! What a great song! And capercaille isn't that bad either actually! They actually have another song that is similar on a "celtic woman" "volume 2 " cd! very nice!
Title: Re: Glasgow is Burning Post by: TheWhite~Rose on August 22, 2012, 01:59PM The group Clannad performed it too. It's a very neat song. It was on the setlist for Divinas, so hopefully we'll hear it before too horribly long. :)
