Woo-Hoo!

I already have plans to see a show with a M&G along with going to Red Rocks if they are there next year.

Problem will be trying to finagle M&G tickets and front row @ the same show.  Would anyone be interested in attending a M&G/show with me?  I'd hate to go alone, especially to the M&G since I'd undoubtedly make a total fool of myself.

Would you be willing to come to Little Rock if CW comes there next year?  In the past they have always offered M&G when they came to LR.  I would try to keep you under control during the M&G.  ;)

I'd pretty much go anywhere for the M&G so as long as I could swing it and tickets to the show.

Still no mention of anywhere within my range, and CW.com still doesn't say anything about 2014.  That title looks like a working title, a placeholder for use in venues' schedules. Every other CW concert had a unique title.  BTW, just how expensive is a M&G these days?  I saw $300 mentioned once, but that was presented as a case of profiteering by a PBS station.  Of course, a M&G pass might be wasted on me.  I can imagine being struck speechless.  I do have a fallback plan, the quote "Your songs are in my heart", but I'd have to remember to use it...

I think it's kind of like the Christmas tour.  We saw some venues announce it ahead of time, but then it finally appeared on the CW site a couple of weeks later.  In this case, I'd say we'll see the official announcement within a month or two at most.

I suspect that is what will happen yet again, just like we're seeing now with the Christmas show.  Then all of a sudden the rest will appear @ once.

my   m@G   for this  past  spring tour  was  300-per  ticket.  Some  PBS stations (like mine in the Twin Cities  area) make you  get the set of two.  When I pledged for the Divinas concert with the Detroit PBS, I was able to get  a single M@G  for myself which I was pleased with.   (  $250) Just cross your fingers that the PBS  in  your  area will let you do the single  ticket/pass option.    ( and as far as  next years scheduling is  concerned...it  is still WAY  early yet)

I called way in advance for the m&g's! And got front row! But they were $250 a piece which equalled out to $500 for the 2! but, my friend that went with me helpout and paid her part so it wasn't bad!  They will also hold the tickets till their frist pledge! I am a bit of an early bird type person, which can be good or bad, so they need to put thoe 2014 dates up soon! Even more so the christmas ones! It is closer than we think! And I don't know about anyone else but I love to plan things well in advance and know I have things secured and things are going to happen, and secured in my hands! And plus to let them know at work well in advance instead or suprising them at the last second that I can't work! Which, this time round might be a fatal thing! So, I am keeping my eyes and ears open as well as the lady at pbs I do business with! (who is freaking me out by not responding the last few weeks!)

Same here.  I'd snap up the tickets the instant I can get my hands on them, even if I have to buy two M&G tickets despite it being only needing one.  I'm sure I can pawn one off on someone here.  :D

Wait.. yours was only $300? Or was that splitting the cost?
Cause when I saw them in St. Paul last year, my M&G was $600, but I split it, so I only paid $300.

Crossing my fingers for another Minnesota or Wisconsin date.
Although, I think I remember Chloe saying in Dayton that they would be back in Dayton next year. :D

lol! I think I had everyone beat in Cleveland!! LOl! The lady I deal w pbs literally was her first day back when I got word (I don't remember how I heard the girls were coming) But I think it was leaked for about a minute and I had called in june  and snagged the tix and m&g the minute I found out! She literally had just came bac kkfrom medical leave and I was freaking out on the phone and couldn't catch my breath from jumping around like a crazy lady! She was then working on it and emailed the price to me that night! I almost hit the floor! I had her hold then till august due to working on the money stuff and finally got them on my birthday!! And found out about it 3 days before I was heading to vegas!  So I was really off the wall! Now I learned my lesson and am prepared to snatch them up right when they come out! I am calling wviz pbs tomorrow and radio city or my "lovely" putting that in light terms, friends at 13 in Ny!!  Even though they only have up til dec w the rockettes! Those are usually no m&g and 250 for the front few rows!  And yes I will be parking my butt at stage door after this time!! I will get plane tix and organize that ahead of time!Since it was a last minute disaster last time and got my cle tix &m&g right after! Sorry I got excited! I have so many memories now!!

Even though Texas seems to never have M&Gs (although apparently they did in years past @ the Verizon Theatre, but no idea why not recently), I will try to attend a show or two here since those are so much cheaper due to the fact I only have to drive to the show rather than fly.  If I cannot secure M&G tickets for whatever reason, the only way I'd go to a show outside of Texas would be Red Rocks, and I'd actually probably make it a week vacation and drive up there so I could see some stuff along the way that I've been meaning to revisit since 2005.

As for a specific M&G, it would really depend on three things, cost, location, and date.  The middle of the week is a real problem because I only have to much vacation time per year and that would mean burning nearly 1/2.  I learned 6 years ago to never, ever fly to an event the same day.  I nearly missed something in 2007 because United Airlines kept canceling my flights from Chicago O'Hare to Springfield, IL.  I got the last flight of the day and made it to my hotel with less than an hour to spare.  I expect to spend a good amount on the tickets, but my budget for the M&G, show, flight, and hotel is really about $1,000 or so.  Anything more and I'm pushing it.

While I think it would be amazing to see them in NYC @ Radio City, that is probably beyond my limit this coming year, but after that I will have almost all of my debts paid off so then nothing stops me from going to a lot of shows if they continue to tour beyond 2014.

ok just trying to catch my breath for a second here (which I don't know idk that'll happen!) well first off i am starting my first day at my new job today! I am beypnd over themoon! I will be making more money than I have been!  Ok well this all leading off to os me making my phone calls and playing phone tag w the pbs's! When I got a hold of the cleveland one, I didn't realise the lady I normally go through was on vaca till next week, which is a relief that she is still their! Her representitive said that I should contact her next week becasue she is waiting to hear from people about the tickets and is conjuring up something w that! Especially since pledge season is upon us! But this can mean one thing!  They are coming back to cleveland more than likey! The only two venues that wviz deals w is Cleveland and akron which means the girls are going to one or the other or even beter both! I asked the lady I am like "cleveland right?" and she was like more than likely!  But, even if they are in Akron they are coming back to radio city!hahaha! Was a heck of a time trying to get through to people (pet peave is people not answering their phones!) and my rude "buddy" at 13 was like oh you mean around st paddy's day March14 2014?  I was like omg yes yes yes yes! He was like oops wasn't supposed to say that and call back during December pledge! That guys doesn't know what he just got himself into! lol! Then I tried calling radio city (still no answer) and got a hold of their ticket master.  he like there are only 3 dates available. I was like bud that is for christmas!  etc ect and then i was like do you think they will be coming back their next year and he was like yes for sure! and I was like should I call in December he was like nope end of july! Enough time to immediately secure my tix get airfare and plan ahead! ahhh so excited!so just keeping my ears and eyes peeled and will update when I find out more! And yes I am getting the tix immediately!

I really hope the ladies come back to NY in 2014!!!! I didn't get to see them this tour & feel so deprived :( Please come back to Syracuse and/or Rochster in 2014!!!!!

Are M&Gs usually expensive? It is a dream of mine to meet our lovely lassies, but don't have an over abundance of money to purchase anything unnecessary.

From what I've seen other people post, a single ticket is usually in the $250-$300 range, but some require the purchase of two tickets.

It depends on the PBS station.  Ours only costs $80.

Wow.... too bad about missing them this year. This year they did Syracuse (really wonderful theater), Elmira, Binghamton, (first time back since their first year on tour, and I finally got to stay home again), Utica (first time?) and Bethel Woods (Woodstock), not to mention several shows in PA that were close. I had hoped for the Saratoga Performing Arts Center again, another wonderful out-door venue, located in the beautiful Saratoga Spa State Park.... but it didn't happen. Maybe next year?

M&G usually add nearly double to the price, and from what I've seen, you have to buy them in pairs. It depends on the PBS station. Also, as I found out, a M&G ticket is no guarantee of being near the front rows. It's often easier to get front row thru Ticktron, but at some shows the PBS station reserves the front rows for the station employees and highest contributors, local 'big wigs', etc.

That's one thing that strick me about this year's schedule - they seemed to focus on smaller cities and not so much on the big ones. Like you said, no shows in NYC this year.

That's what kind of worries me about next year. I think they'll probably flip it and concentrate on large cities, and little towns like mine will get passed over. For some reason they seem to go to Syracuse every year, but Rochester is only every other year or so. Looks like I'll have to travel next year to see them. But I sure don't want to miss the 10th anniversary show. I think (hope) it's going to be something very special.

I hope so. The first year I was going to go to a Celtic Woman concert, 2008, other than New York City, there were exactly ZERO concerts in New York state. I finally ended up going to my first concert in Wilkes-Barre in 2009.

hmmm I saw this one last night!?Definately debating whether or not to go! I am waiting till next week when I see whats going on w cleveland! Dayton can be my back up, and a fun mini weekend trip for summer break/finishing nursing school pressie!! But I am highly doubting that this is the only time they will be in ohio! Plus I like that it is on a sunday. especially on summer break then and it will be a heck of a lot easier for me, just gotto check my work weekend schedule! Plus, I should have called a long time ago to get m&g's for it. Those are the first things snached up!!yes, if I can buy things 5 yrs in advance I would! (not really but, close!!)  So keeping my eyes and ears out for cleveland (which I have a feeling it will be the day before or a wekk before or after the dayton date!) and already have radio city on  the agenda!!(that guy doesn't know what he got himself into by telling me that!) and I hope the cleveland date (when and if) is closer to radio city date so I can go to vegas in may and maybe even see the girls when I do, which I know is around that time!!

Then of course there is trying to get M&G and front row tickets to the same show, where ever that might be.

I kinda knew already that this one was in the pipeline, but it's nice to see it out:

Sunday, May 18, 2014
Schuster Center
Dayton, OH
http://www.victoriatheatre.com/shows/celtic-woman-2014/ (http://www.victoriatheatre.com/shows/celtic-woman-2014/)

DAYTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I am SO there!!
My grandparents live there, so I have a free place to stay :)
And this past Believe tour, Dayton was an incredibly special and personal show for me... I'm looking forward to going again. :)

Winsconsin people, your time has come.

Saturday, Mar 15, 2014 - Weidner Center, Green Bay, WI

They're doing season season subscriptions only for now.

According to their website, the 2014 tour will be called...

Ooh... a Wisconsin date too?!

That seems to correspond to the information we were given by some of the venues: "CELTIC WOMAN’S 2014 TOUR will celebrate Ireland and its spellbinding Celtic heritage through an extraordinary presentation of traditional Irish anthems and pop standards."

I guess that means we get to see at lot more Irish songs :) :) :)

The Dayton show is the same date as my Dallas show from this year's tour was, 5-18.  I wish they'd announce Texas already.

All I want though is a show with a M&G.

I wish they'd play southern Louisiana or anywhere along the Louisiana-Mississippi-Alabama Gulf coast.  The money I would otherwise spend on a hotel room and another tank of gas might get me a M&G pass.

The source is probably the venue/organization that is hosting the show, either a press release or it simply appears on their website.  Now, how he finds them is the real question.

I keep an eye on all of the places in here Texas that they'd be likely to visit such as the Verizon Theatre in DFW, the Majestic in San Antonio, etc.  So far none have listed anything.

Based on what they have done in past years it seems likely that Austin or Houston is due to be on the tour next year.  Grand Prairie is on the tour every year.

If they go to Austin and/or Houston, I can make those shows easy, especially Austin since I can stay with my dad if needed.  Houston is roughly 2 hours or less, depending on the venue's location.  Grand Prairie is an overnight trip.  I fully expect them to be be back @ the Verizon Theatre since as you said, they always go there.  But for me, the most important thing is a show with a M&G and Texas always seems to lack those, although, they did them before in Grand Prairie.  I saw something where Lisa Kelly mentioned it.

waiting for radio city or Cleveland to be announced! More than likely radio city!  Hopefully soon so I can look for airfare from now! I hope they come back 2 in a row w Cleveland though!  Every oter celtic group does and they love it!  Celtic thunder comes every year, even though its on a weekday and it's impossible for me to go even though my school is 30 seconds away! And those guys have a blast, and post things that I do not think I will repeat!! The high kings who have toured w the girls actually come every year to the irish festival at the Berea fair grounds! And I was actually going to see them tonight but I couldn't this weekend so def. next year! So hopefully the girls will follow in their foot steps! If they come to venues by how much money each pbs raises I would assume Clevelands would see that when they were pledge for the girls they sold out of the tickets in 3 days!!  And the girls had an amazing time! So fingers crossed!  And I have taken little hints from the girls about radio city so just have to wait till it's official! (an usually no m&g for that but it's ok I know where stage door is there now!  And will tell my uncle in advance!

Radio City would be really cool because its such a famous venue, but I don't think it's one I can do in 2014 since my goal is a M&G and I will likely have to fly to it.

I'd really like to have someone to go to the M&G with, because I know that if I'm alone, I will make an abject fool of myself.  Right now only a few of the announced cities seem to have M&Gs such as Dayton.  That would be a cheap flight.

The girls adore radio city! And even though there isn't a m&g I did it at cle and I wouldn't even be sad!  Stage door is more fun and you get more time w the girls! Just have to plan your seats right though! And Dayton I am very debatable on right now!  If no cle or radio city that would be my option if that!  It is a three hour drive but I would get lost so flying wouldn't be bad!  I know I have that weekend off to so I would have to take a friend and make it an over night road trip so I won't be by myself in a hotel!  Which I am trying to avoid! and ny I fly but it's not expensive if I get it early enough and plan time w my family and who I stay w their which my grandmas closer and I usually stay w my aunt! but it is still early!

My main goal is not to spend a huge amount of money since I am preparing for the possibility of a 10 year anniversary event in Ireland which obviously would cost a lot more.  I can fly to a show in the US for $500 or less most of the time.  Going to Ireland would be at least 3 times that much.  What worries me is they wouldn't give any real warning like what just happened with the Christmas show which means the ticket cost is insane.  I can't spend $3,000-$4,000 on airline tickets alone.

Of course, I'm hoping to see more than 1 show in Texas, but it all depends on what day(s) and locations.  Maybe they'll do a M&G in Grand Prairie like they used to do.

I don't; just speculating since they had one last year.  I doubt we'll hear about it for a while since the tour isn't even officially announced yet.

I have a bad habit of planning for things months or even a year in advance.

No idea.  Sarah went to Dayton this year so she can probably answer that question.  The only thing for me which would kill a M&G would be if just one ticket cost $300+ which I think a few have in the past.

Truly, I have no idea which shows I will attend, although I assume there will be something in Texas within easy reach.  I just pray that they do a M&G at the Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie.  That would make my life so much easier.  Why they haven't done one there recently, but have in the past, is beyond me.  The place clearly has the facilities to handle one.

If you're willing to be stuck with me for an afternoon (show's @ 3:00pm), I'd be quite happy to go to the M&G and show with you.  I promise; I don't bite, much.  :D  Hopefully we'll know about the M&G before the tickets go on sale, because I want to snag a pair of front row tickets.  Right now it's all tentative this far out; but as I mentioned earlier, I like to plan ahead.

hmmmm? I did not know this was an afternoon show! If worse comes to worse I might be interested! I wouldn't even have to have a hotel persay!Drive down w friend have lunch and then drive back in descent time!  Hmmm I might have to think about that one sounds like a good idea if nothing else! And if worse comes to worse I can always find a hotel. And that was the same time as radio city and waiting at stage door we were done by 530 so driving home would be still in light till I get closer to home!

That's why I think it would be a safe assumption!  I know last time they didn't announce it till closer till tour so I am not sure!  That would be great though! Even though when I talked to pbs 13 it kinda sounds like they are in the planning stages!  He even slipped and mentioned a date and then was like no no no I wasn't supposed to say that! Me on the phone: ahhh! Yeah I heard ya buddy! And then another guy slightly mentioned it to! Yeah I can only do radio city or Cleveland! And the girls love Cleveland just as much! which took them forever to come back to! Yet celtic thunder and the high kings come every year (not when I am able to se them or anything) but they do!) and post things that I prob. can't repeat!!

Until either the name of the DVD or an official tour name is announced we'll go ahead and leave all of this on the Believe board.

Where do you all keep finding these dates? I've looked on the CW tour dates page and they're not there!

The source is probably the venue/organization that is hosting the show, either a press release or it simply appears on their website.  Now, how he finds them is the real question.

I have my sources... *cough*Google*cough*. A word to the wise: if you wait for the CW website to list them, you'll probably miss out on getting first dibs on the best seats.

Lastly... I'm not a he.  :)

I've gone ahead and started a tour schedule here: http://www.celticwomanforum.com/index.php?topic=19070.0 (http://www.celticwomanforum.com/index.php?topic=19070.0). My brain is currently :P this evening so if you see an error, let me know. If you find any more dates, post them and I'll add them.

Until either the name of the DVD or an official tour name is announced we'll go ahead and leave all of this on the Believe board.

The new tour 2014 is called THE EMERALD TOUR

ok cle looks like a no go right now  (even though akron and dyaton are 4 days apart and they can't go that far (unless c-bus, cinci. Youngstown, Toledo) are in the mix some how and robin only knows of akron and usually history shows no m&g prob. and I prob wont go since it's a week day but, radio city might just just might be looking like it might happen!  I talked to my "lovely" friend at pbs thirteen and he said nothing right now but in mid November they start doing pledge drives to call and it might be a possibility since pbs's will be airing the new program then! so fingers crossed! and I am ready for when it happens!  And I kinda saw something ps 22 choirs websight for 2014 (which I do not know if it is an old saying or not) but it said coming up for 2014 and a list and it said celtic woman? I do not know I they are specifically doing something w the kids or doing radio city and the kids the next day (like last time) but I will look into it more!

And plus it is on a weekend that I work :( and I would literally have to stay in a hotel after so I can drive home the next morning! I would rather wait and save incase radio city pops up! I would have to get airfaire for that!Thank you so much for the offer though! :)

Yep, I've been watching for a M&G announcement (I'm assuming they will be through the local PBS since most if not all M&Gs are) but so far nada.  I expect to hear about that in October or November or perhaps even the spring fundraisers.

I just saw they added "the Chicago theatre" I am not telepathic or anything but if Radio city falls through (which I am not sure yay or nay officially) I see a Chicago trip in the near future on March 16th (which is the day before st. patricks day!! This could be interesting! Especially since I was supposed to go for my b-day this year to Chicago for a different concert this might work if all else fails! And I always wanted to do a Chicago trip! Just fly in the afternoon taxi to a close by hotel around the theatre eat go to the concert and fly home the next morning! Sounds like a plan!

Thank you!  That is why I am waiting till November  till I get word of radio city or not! And yes especially flying in March is tricky!  have flown back from vaca in April/may and had a blizzard!! So I am waiting  and planning it carefully! Chicago would be last resort and I don't think it would be a good idea for mew  to drive and blindly navigate somewhere I am not familiar! But thank you for the warning!  I heard it is a little bit of a crazy airport! I prob can handle it though! Even though the radio city schedule may not seem promising till the beginning of May they are booked solid w the rockettes new show (which might not affect out girls any?) I am not sure if any one else saw on twitter today but David Downes tweeted "get ready New York" I am wondering if it is something he is doing on the side personally or if that rewet was directed for the girls? Like a big announcement or something? I am wondering if any one else saw that or knows anything?  I am ready either way!! Oh and I am more than likely going to make a weekend trip out of Chi town! SO stoked! Just getting the right package w flight and hotel on these websites are just funny! But the WIT hotel seems like the best bet! It is literally right next door to the theatre! Just incase!  so excited either for either or, or even both!!

Perhaps Radio City might be the last stop on the tour?

As for David's comment, it could mean anything.  It could be as simple as he's going to be in New York for a few days for some personal time.

hmm? I know the tours usually end at the end of june so it could be possible? And that's what I was thinking, it is quite an open comment! Could be interesting to find out though!

Schuster Center
Dayton, OH

DAYTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I am SO there!!
My grandparents live there, so I have a free place to stay :)
And this past Believe tour, Dayton was an incredibly special and personal show for me... I'm looking forward to going again. :)

Winsconsin people, your time has come.

They're doing season season subscriptions only for now.

According to their website, the 2014 tour will be called...

*drumroll please*

The Emerald Tour

Ooh... a Wisconsin date too?!
Yay!!  That's 2... now if only they would come to Minnesota.... :)
I am so at the Dayton and Wisconsin ones though! :)

Sarah, I'm thinking we might need to get the gang together to have another gathering!! :D
hmmm... Libby, that's an awesome idea!!
I'd need to leave the day after the show, cause I'm seeing them in St. Paul too... but we totally should!! ;D ;D

I guess all of us from Texas need to start thinking about what we're going to do in 2014.  I guess as it stands right now, either Houston or San Antonio.  Corpus Christi and especially El Paso are just too far out of the way for many.  For me, Houston is the only real option because it is on a Sunday.  With going to Dayton in May, I can't burn 2-3 more vacation days to go to San Antonio as much as I would like to.

I am truly shocked that it seems they will not be back at the Verizon Theatre this year.  I think it will be the first time they've not gone there.

Title: Re: 2014 Tour
Post by: Hubert on September 28, 2013, 03:37PM
They always go to the Verizon.  There are still more tour dates to be announced.  Since 2009 they have always showed up there on a Saturday.  Looking at the current dates it seems that April 12 is possible.  El Paso on April 10 and the next date listed is Houston on the 13th.  If they change things up and don't do Saturday then April 16 seems a possibility as they hit San Antonio on the 15th and Tulsa on the 17th.  Grand Prairie is right on the way from S. A. to Tulsa.

Based on how the scheduale is looking, the North east is going to be in late May and Early June which works out great for me, personally. I hope it works out for some of you as well

Yeah, if they do it on the 16th I can't go.  Middle of the week just will not work.  If they do it on the 12th, I can since I can then drive to Houston the next morning for the show that night.  Also, they might do Lubbock or Midland on the 11th or 12th.

Pretty sure this list is not complete. There are week-long gaps in April and May, and there are dates in June that are not listed.

Title: Re: 2014 Tour
Post by: AggieGuy on October 01, 2013, 10:58AM
The gaps could just be their breaks; this year I think they took about 10 days off at one point.

That said, I am stunned that they are not going back to the Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie.  They have been there every year until now.

June is still obviously missing.

there are still a ton of dates missing! June and 2-3 full weeks in may they need to fill in! I am sure that by Nov 8 there should be a full list!  Even the guy at pbs 13 said they should have the taping and packages by then and air it if they have it during there dec pledge drive! I am going to get the Chicago ones and of radio city or Cle come available (more likely one than the other but who knows!) I will sell the Chicago one and get those!

lol!  That's why I am not jumping on the Chicago tickets just yet! (well seems like Nov. 8th is the popular date!) And radio city is open in June and wouldn't miss out on 2 years of one of there biggest venues especially w mairead joining! When Susan first joined and Lisa they did radio city! And Carnegie isn't an issue either! My cousins perform there for school! Plus david has been in Ny (which seems like it is for holiday?) But might be planning a big surprise for the last day of the tour! So exciting!

What do you have for central and western New York? OK, Williamsport, Lancaster, and Akron are "in the neighborhood" (more or less), but it would be nice to be a little closer.

I agree completely. I figured they wouldn't come to Rochester because they were here last year, but I was at least hoping for Buffalo or Syracuse. Day after day seeing all these shows go by and nothing close is getting a little concerning.
Still have my fingers crossed.

Well, God willing, I guess I am, Jerad - I was poking around and found that the May 20 / Williamsport PA tickets were already on sale. That's the show closest to me, although it's still a 3+ hour drive. I clicked on the Orchestra Pit and there was ONE ticket left. I took it as a sign and grabbed it.  :D

It stinks going alone, but I couldn't wait for them to announce a show near here and risk not seeing the Emerald Tour. If they announce a closer show, I can always try and see that one too. But for now, at least I know I'm going to see them. Up close!  8)

Without a doubt New York is going to be there, likely at the end.  Remember, the "Bands in Town" app they now use stops at the end of May and we know there are shows scheduled in June.  I'm still betting either Radio City Music Hall or Carnegie Hall will be the last stop.

It's about 8-9 miles south of the threatre, but pretty much a straight shot down S Lake Shore Dr.  If you're not renting a car, I'm sure they have buses that run there.  It's a popular destination.

Well, you never know.  They might do a 10 year anniversary event next year and it would likely be in Ireland.

Here's hoping!! I should be grateful because I was at the Home for Christmas recording but, I'm greedy :P

I think we all are when it comes to the girls.  I'm trying to rack up as many frequent flyer miles as I can just in case they announce a 10 year anniversary show in Ireland.  As long as they don't announce it @ the last minute, I'm going if it involves bringing back previous members, especially Lisa Kelly.

Just bought my airline tickets to Dayton.  Going to go a day early and spend Saturday @ the US Air Force Museum.
I did the Dayton doubleheader this year, CW Concert and Air Force Museum, and stayed at a motel across the street from the Museum. Loved every minute of it.

Omg!!! Yes!!! I love the Air Force Museum! My friend Jimmy and I spent well over a day there. So much fun! Wait till you see the missile silo. My God! Standing next to those missiles is surreal, to say the least.

lol! You got it right w the last minute business! Could have went to the taping on my birthday if they wouldn't have announced it 3 weeks prior to the date when they were talking about it 3 weeks prior to that!! Definitely got in the last minute pricing zone! Hopefully this summer and will hopefully be going on a tour of Ireland/England around that time! That would be a fun little surprise!

[Insert your favorite light-duty profanity here] Looks like they're going to skip Louisiana again.  The Pensacola venue is just 208 miles from me, almost all Interstate. Four hours each way.  I could leave after lunch, eat an early dinner at McGuires Irish Pub & Brewery in Pensacola, see the show, and drive back by 2 in the morning.  I've done longer road runs.  Now I have to find someone to split the gas with so I'll have enough cash left to eat.  Is anyone in New Orleans going to the Pensacola concert?

It was on the CW tour dates page, I saw it as well, but now it vanished.  It could have been an error, or it might be another "Bands in Town" glitch.  They removed the Atlanta Christmas show for almost a month before it magically reappeared.  It also might be that RCMH asked them to remove it for a while.

The rocketed have a show till the first of may which they only went up to. I will give my PBS thirteen fiend a call first thing Monday to confirm!! ( which he seems not to know much when I ask! ok!  After 15 minutes trying to get through to pbs thirteen and then a nice 10 minute conversation with my "lovely" friend on the phone there (which actually wasn't that bad)  I got some stuff cleared up! He said they did not get anything for it yet and especially since the cd will be coming out at the end of the month which means that they will probably air it and possibly offer tickets (he's not sure about m&g's at the moment). But just to keep an eye on the web sight since they usually get the best seats! But he said more than likely get through tickets master quickly  if they are offering before because he is not sure I f they will offer them or not! SO not to bad! and then he was surprised when I said I cannot see ther chanel since I live in Cleveland and he said like Ohio? Yup!  Then he's like you travel and are a huge fan I said yup but 90% of my family lives in Ny so I visit! He like what a treat!  Then he goes we would more than likely air it the week of thanksgiving!  I was like yup I will be in New York and not to far off from them! Sorry for that! I thought that was exciting for the day and just to keep an eye out and we will see when the full schedule inside the cd comes in a few weeks!! oh and to keepan eye out to one wliw pbs long island (just like western reserve pbs here for akron)  cause they might be offering it instead!

I e-mailed the Verizon Theatre to ask one way or the other if CW was coming back for 2014.  Their reply was less than useless.

"At this time, we have nothing planned, but that may change soon."

They haven't added anything to their event list past Feb. so it may be they just haven't finalized anything yet.  Hopefully.

Are you going to be at the Houston show?  I am trying to decide between Houston and Tulsa.  If I can get M&G at Houston that will definitely be the one.  It looks like Tulsa will not have M&G.

Houston for certain, M&G or not.  I'd still love for them to go to the Verizon Theatre on the 12th because I could then drive from DFW to Houston on the 13th and make it there with plenty of time to spare.

Can't wait! And pbs usually should offer m&g's a month ahead! Even though if I get front row through ticketmaster stage door should not be a problem (even though it's a late concert) So excited! And it's early enough where I can plan to get plane tickets and not surprise my family in Ny that I am coming!

Ticketmaster crashed on me, twice, and cost me the front row, center section seats.  Ended up on the right hand side, front row.  Not bad, but not what I wanted either.

Right Orchestra

Seat 1,2

And Ticketmaster still has the wrong show time of 3:00 instead of 7:00pm.

ahhh soooo excited!! I...just... ordered my tickets and m&g's for Radio City Music Hall in Nyc for may 21st! I am so excited! It even went more smoothly than the last 2 times I went through Pbs in Cle and Ny! I was prepared this time! And it was a lady who helped me , which is who I think sold me the tickets last time, and thank goodness it wasn't that guy! I even have my dress all set! All I need now is my airfare and some Cadbury flakes! Which I am taking one step at a time since the main thing was the tix and the rest can wait a little!  But question, for anyone who has given the girls a Cadbury flake what do they look like(packaging)or order from etc? I am not familiar?  I have sen different kinds on amazon and in boxes and I have a European store close by that sells them separately, but they are in a gold-ish wrapper and has some type of foreign language written on it but it clearly states "cadbury flake' and looks just like what the girls have? It was really good to! I will try to get one soon and post a picture, but I was wondering if that is close to what have been bought for the girls? And yes, I will be giving it to them personally at the m&g, since I am not sure if my malley's chocolates and Cadbury eggs made it to there buses?  And closer to time I just might, MIGHT, sell one ticket and m&g I will let anyone know who wants one if I can not find someone to go w!!  Plus I was one of the first 2-3 people to call so I think I am safe w having close seats, which they seat people to when the pledges come in, which I like! ok sorry about that!  I am just slightly excited!!!

How much and are they on sale yet?  If so, how do we get them?

There Dayton tickets are on presale, but not through Ticketmater.

https://www.ticketcenterstage.com/load_screen.asp?screen=presale

Presale Code: EMERALD

There is 1 ticket left on the 4th row.  Other than that, pickings are slim.

No they're not on sale yet. They aren't giving them away until the date of airing, which is December 4th. A pair of M&Gs, according to one of the PBS peeps, is $250. Compared with Cinci's $550 and you understand.

If you purchased the DVD/BD through Amazon, it would have been emailed to you.

The tickets go on sale today so a presale code shouldn't be needed anymore, but if it is still asking for one, you might try "EMERALD" without the "".  That was the code for some of the non-Ticketmaster sales.

Something odd.

The show in Chicago on 3-16 seems to have disappeared.  It is no longer on the Chicago Theatre website, Ticketmaster, or the CW site.

http://www.thechicagotheatre.com/events/2014/march/celtic-woman-at-the-chicago-theatre.html will simply redirect back to the main events page where it is not listed.  You can find the URL by a Google search and see the cached page which clearly existed, but now nothing.

If anyone here purchased tickets to it, I would give the theatre a call ASAP to find out what happened.

You coming to the Asheville concert as well?

Nope. I'm lucky enough to be able to go to just one.

I wish I could find out about the M&G in Houston (if there is one) or if by some freak chance one in San Antonio.  I signed up with Houston PBS to be notified of such events (and of course it required a small "donation") but so far nada.  Guess I'll call tomorrow and see if there even is one.

I have to snag them for Dayton by any means necessary.  Houston would just be a bonus and SA is just a fantasy since I don't think they ever have them.  Even though I trust what Matty said about Dayton, I should probably call them tomorrow as well just to make sure (for my own peace of mind) and try to get an exact time they become available.

They did not have M&G at San Antonio this year and don't count on that next year.  Houston has had them before according to Scott but he indicated they might be expensive.  I'm hoping Tulsa offers a reasonably priced M&G next year.

Yeah, and I'm not counting on SA, but if they did, I'd go.  I still might go to the SA show if some good tickets popup for around the original cost.  I suspect they will have a M&G in Houston, but if PBS gets greedy and wants some insane amount, then I'll have to pass.

Well, I tried calling the Houston PBS station, but could never get anyone except the operator/receptionist. I'll try again tomorrow at 8:30am when they open.

Also decided to book a hotel in SA right across from the Majestic, just in case I go, since there is no cancellation penalty so I won't be out any $$$ if I don't.

That may be the same hotel that Scott, Lester, Edd and I had lunch at before the show this past May.

Finally got through to someone @ the Houston PBS Station.  Transferred to 3 different people and disconnected once before I got someone who could tell me about the M&G

To quote them, there will be a "very limited number" of Celtic Woman M&G tickets for the Houston show.  Cost is $450 for two.  They go sale during the pledge drive when HFC airs on 12-2.

Yep, right @ my breaking point.  I'm waiting to find out if the person going with me to the show wants to go to the M&G.  If not, maybe someone here would want to split the cost of the M&G.  Thankfully I have a little while to decide.

Yep, still debating on whether or not I can swing them.  Dayton isn't a problem, at least when it comes to $$$.

Clearwater FL. $350 for M&G.  Mixed feeling about buying them.  Last time they were here PBS had lousy seats. I went ahead and got them since it is early in the tour. Wanted to say hi to the girls.

Ended up passing on the Houston M&G.  Just couldn't justify $450 for just myself.  But that's okay since I have Dayton.

Guess it means I can look around for a San Antonio ticket with the money I budgeted for the Houston M&G.

Ok, question for anyone going to the radio city show. I am so annoyed and over wnet 13 pbs right now. Niw it shows only Nj is offered m&gs , does anyone know anything about it? I used a prepaid gift card 2 and it didn't go through due to there typing error and then I get a letter. So I sent in a cashiers check in the mid of nov and no one has prossesed it yet. I am so fed up and they are blaming me? Hopefully in a week or so it'll be ok but I keep contacting them and getting the run around about it. I am so worried and all I ask them if I am going to lose the tickets, which no one is telling me yay or nay on holding them after they air. And that's all I need to know and they keep giving me ingenious answers that aren't helping me and thinking I'm the one who's paranoid! Ugh yeah! I sent so much money which was directly to them and nothing has been processed, yeah I'm annoyed! And now they aren't selling m&g's which he said was a apart of the my pending tix ? So confused! Anyone know any thing diff or might have a spare tix w m&g I can buy let me know just in case please let know?! Sorry for the rant but I'm so over then the last few weeks!

Oddly enough, a new date was added to The Emerald Tour.

Friday May 16
The Clay Center
Charleston, West Virgina
https://tickets.theclaycenter.org/public/venue_areas.asp

It was mentioned last night on the CW site that they would be returning to The Clay Center, but didn't give the date until today as this is where last night's Christmas show was.

ok a little update now that I can breathe/sleep easier! Yes there is a m&g for radio city it just didn't say it on the web sight (375 for 2) there are 3 pairs left for anyone interested! I have been trying since Nov 1st to get them and have been having issue after issue with 13! Now they said today (thank goodness I called and wasn't) They DIDN'T accept the gift card when they said they did. And the kicker of them all is my check that was sent on the 18th of Nov. was LOST! It could be one of a few situations one it got lost in the mail since the envelope was no return address and prepaid stamp and got lost in the postal system? Or it could have gotten lost in the system at pbs 13 (which wouldn't surprise me) or they are taking to long to process a simple cashiers check which the longer I waited the worse the tickets and no m&g that I paid a lot for! And all the frustration w 13 they couldn't even figure it out and were frustrate w me! And  to them, NO!  I don't wait for anything!! But after a week of wanting to give up and frustration I put a stop payment on the check and my mom used her card (I am paying her back next week) and secured my tickets w m&g!! I told the lady I am like please say  that these are secured and are min and she said yes and I don't have to wait for it to bee processed! I don't think the excitement hit yet since I am just relieved and exhausted after going though all of that and now it's set and done now and can sleep now because I was so worried!  And if the cashiers check doesn't get stop payment by a weird chance (it prob. will be stopped) and I get 2 extra tix and m&g's I will sell them!  Thank you guys

Congrats.  I'd love to see them @ Radio City, but way beyond the $ this year.  Flying to NYC is so dang expensive.  Same reason I couldn't think about going to Chicago or somewhere else our members would be.  The airfare alone would be a killer, but thankfully Dayton was cheap to fly to.

Thank you!  Actually since I have some time before the concert airfare will be decent! From Cleveland to la guardia I Usually, last minute, pay no more than 200 rt if earlier I pay 150 rt at the most! And a lot less from Akron canton (which I don't feel like doing)! And if anything my very last resort... drive :/ Since It not hard to get to my grandmas (I also don't have to pay for a hotel though!) Just pay cab fare! And it isn't as late as I though it would be!  Chicago for the airfare was outrageous! plus hotel that had to be within a block of the theatres was a lot! Plus cab fair there, even if they would do it from the airport that didn't seem that close! I did think about Dayton or Akron but it wouldn't have worked out!

And another new one added.  Popped up on Ticketmaster a while ago.

Music Hall At Fair Park Dallas, TX
Sat, 04/12/14, 7:30 PM
Tickets go on sale 12/16/13 at 10:00 AM

Dang, wish I could go, but with Houston the next day (afternoon) and this show late, no way to be sure I can make it from DFW to Houston in time for the show.

Edit: Ticketmaster removed it from the site.  Guess they don't want it listed just yet.

New show announced today on the Celtic Woman website (it's also on Ticketmaster as well).

Celtic Woman
Landmark Theatre, Syracuse, NY
Sun, Jun 8, 2014 03:00 PM

According to the director of membership at WCNY Syracuse, there will be a Meet & Greet. So if you are interested, fill out the contact form on wcny.org, or call them (phone number is on the website).

The director of membership called me back within an hour of my call, and couldn't have been more pleasant to deal with.
