Title: The Sky, Dawn, and Sun opening poem lyrics
Post by: JohnLaing_ChloeFan on July 26, 2013, 12:33PM
So I was wondering if anyone knew the complete lyrics to the poem that Chloe says at the beginning of The Sky and the Dawn and the Sun during the Isle of Hope tour? There's a video of it on YouTube but its not the whole thing and I can't make out everything in it so if you know it post it here please :) thank you!!!

I am the sky above Manhattan
I am the long pool of the island
I am the song of the Hudson River
I am the silent land
I am the low sound of cattle
and the bleating snipe
I am the deer's cry
and the cricket's dance
In the lover's eye am I
the beating heart
I am the unlatched door
I am the comforting breath
Now and before
After and evermore
I am the waiting shore
I am America

I found this in an old file deep inside my computer :D There used to be an audio recording (no video) of the entire thing on Youtube, but I can't find it anymore. Regardless, I'm pretty sure I confirmed these words when I saw the show in person.

This makes me remember that I first heard it when my parents and I went to the Wachovia arena in Wilkes-Barre and we enjoyed the concert with Jim.
