I'm gonna be SO mad if they switch over to Blu-Ray exclusively! I really hate that everyone is trying to force Blu-Ray down our throats. Yes I know that the quality is "superior" but, to be honest, from my perspective, I see no difference between an hd dvd and a Blu-Ray. The only difference I've found is that more films are being released on them, often with more bonus or exclusive content, and typically for a higher price than dvds.

Yeah, it means I have to get a Blu-Ray player for the TV instead of just on the computer if it doesn't come out on DVD as well.

With HFC, the Blu-Ray appeared a few days after the DVD & CD showed up on Amazon so the DVD will probably appear later.  The Chicago PBS offer was for a CD/DVD combo.

Can't wait for this to come out!

I live in Europe and I have a problem with the region format for DVDs, so probably I have to wait the European version...is there any news?  ???

I also live in europe and my experience with the CW dvd's are that they were all Region free. At least  i bought Believe and it was region free, and i also have a New Journey DVD from a US seller from Ebay (because this version had Orrinoco Flow on it) and this is also region free.

I dont know for sure i they changed it with Home for Christmas (i got the blue ray and i dont see any region info on the cover) but i still got a strong feeling that the it all will be region free

Maybe a US forum member can look at the cover from the dvd from Home for Christmas if they can see a region code

I live in France and I wanted to know if the blu-Ray works well ? I was afraid to order it in case it wouldn't work.  But for me all of the DVD are region free and I have never had a problem so far with any of them

I dont know if its the same for imported Blue-rays, i got my HFC at my local store so it works fine

If i want to import a dvd its not a problem for me if its a different region (i can play all regions on my player) With Blue-rays i really do more research if its playable or not,but for now its difficult to say because there isnt much info about the new dvd/brd

I got the same message, mine will arrive around March 03 2014 too. It would be great if we could have some samples for the CD and a trailer for the DVD/Blu-Ray ;D ;D

The trailer that's on the celticwoman.com homepage now (it says "Celtic Woman is coming to PBS spring 2014" at the top) is basically the Emerald trailer. It's made up of clips from the South Bend taping, which was edited into the DVD/Blu-Ray. That video was posted awhile ago, apparently before they had chosen the "Emerald" name yet.  :)

As it looks like now, the CD on Amazon is a deluxe CD. It includes the studio CD and the DVD in it. Im assuming they are not doing a regular CD without the DVD being included. I had ordered the CD and the Blu-ray not knowing theres a DVD that comes with the CD as well. Oh well, Ill have 2 copies of the show! :) ;D

Just one detail: I've watched the sizzle reel of this show and it looks like Chloe is there. Do you think that this counts?

I couldn't help but notice the "Studio CD" tag on the top of the album. Does that mean that it's a compilation, and that Susan won't sing on it ? Because, as far as I know, she hasn't appeared on any studio album before.

I hope that if it is a studio CD that Susan IS on it.  Plus they've put most of those songs on the TGJ CD compilation.  It wouldn't make sense if they did it again.

Susan also appeared on the European Believe CD (although that was for only song, 'I'm Counting On You') She promoted the cd with Lisa on PBS, I guess it's likely she'll be on the cd.

I wondered if Mairéad might sing on this cd too, but probably not. They were already promoting Emerald in December and I don't know where they would have had the time to record her vocals.

Scarlet Ribbons is on all the track lists for the CD that I have seen, so there is definitely a chance that Mairead is on it. If I had to guess, it probably won't just be a compilation, and considering they performed all of the songs on tour, it would not have taken long to record, having already learnt the material.

They may have record her vocals last september before European Tour because she needed to learn all of the songs, so she might go in studio with David.

Excited to see Scarlet Ribbons on the track list.   ;D

Anyway...one information...does anyone know if the Amazon DVD is region free? I live in Italy and I want to buy it from Amazon as soon as possible...is there any possibility to know this important information before buying it???

I always ordered my Celtic Woman's DVD on Amazon.com and I never had a problem with them ;)

The DVDs and Blu Rays are on amazon uk, DVD is region free not sure about blu ray as it says region free in the description but region A in the specs at the bottom. Have to find more info as I do not have a multi region blu ray.

It's been released on the Australian version of iTunes!

I've been listening to it all day, there are a few alterations to most of the songs compared to previously released versions, most obviously with the line-up change, but also some slightly new arrangements. Chloë is on the album. For the most part, the songs are similar to the tour versions, but some have a few parts cut.

I know that other website had samples but I wish the US iTunes would hurry up and release the samples because usually theirs are over a minute long!!!

I can't wait for the DVD, which of course just has to be released halfway through my school exam period :(

It's really odd that they released it in Australia first, but it's only on iTunes, they haven't released the hard copy yet, or the DVD.

I'm from the Netherlands and i was really suprised because today i got the Blu-ray delivered

I'm surprised that they took this route with HfC and now Emerald Musical Gems. I much prefer them like they did ANJ, SftH and Believe; no bonus songs, all in order, and all of the DVD except the Behind the Scenes can be seen on one play through.

I am surprised to see that all songs are sung by the Lisa-Susan-Chloë combination, Mairéad Carlin doesn't sing a single song on this CD/DVD, if you look at the box art you wouldn't expect that.

Though i am fond of hearing Chloë, i can't help myself being disappointed that they chose to only name miss Carlin in the thanks area instead of letting her sing on this album.

Anyone else having the same thoughts?

Thanks for the heads up. I don't know how, but I guess I must have messed up. They had me down for free shipping. But since it hasn't shipped yet, it said I was able to successfully change it. We will see if that's actually the case. My estimated shipping date now says the 25th, but it's the 22nd and I haven't gotten my notice yet, so who knows.   :-\

Same here, but I expect it will ship tomorrow or Monday for delivery on Tuesday.  UPS doesn't operate on Sunday, except when it comes to picking up stuff from Amazon.

Well, it depends. If those songs are, like the HFC bonus songs, just an intimate setting (meaning no audience, just the girls and David, then I can understand the need to keep them separate from the concert. If, on the other hand, they were part of the concert to begin with, then I don't see the point in having them as bonus songs either. I guess I'll have to wait until the end of next week to see what's going on with that.

I'm more upset at those bonus songs on CDs or downloads. Especially if said songs are not available in my country, as has happened too many times before. It's rather frustrating, especially if, like me, you're honest.

Its not like HFC the songs are part from the concert

Have been listening to the album since yesterday. Some songs have subtle but very nice changes. My favorite song is at the moment Dúlaman, it's the complete tour version (acceplla intro + spoons) Absolutely loving it.

The decision to include Caledonia, Bridge, and Ave Maria could be attributed to the thought process that they needed to adjust for time and so they made it so each girl had one solo piece in the final cut but included the others as bonus footage as they knew fans might be looking for them.

The DVD/Bluray is awesome and the bonus tracks are great also, its really a minor setback that they are not in the show itself.

I'm glad it was released, because i was afraid after Chloe left it never got released at all.

The only disapointment is no Orrinoco Flow on the disc. Because i live in Europe and we don't have PBS i'll never get to see it so i hope it wil end on Youtube or somthing

I got my notification from Amazon this morning that my DVD is in the mail! I chose to go through Target for the CD since it has bonus tracks on it :)

Finally got my shipping confirmation from Amazon today. Sure was a welcome sight - needed some good news.

Same! Although I'm actually gonna physically go TO Target. With all of their recent problems with hacking, I think I'll stick with cash payments.

There's a reason why I ordered the Target version with Paypal! CD tomorrow hopefully. I really didn't want to go to the store to get it. I don't want to go to the mall only to find out it's not in stock, which has happened before.

If I have to wait another day for it I'll be annoyed, but that's life. Tracking still says delivery tomorrow.

I haven't seen anything yet from Amazon for my order.  It is still listed a "Pre-Ordered."  Given how well they handled the last CW release (and the major Ticketmaster presale code foul up), I don't have a lot of faith in them to get it to me tomorrow.  As long as it is here by Friday, that will be enough, but they will be refunding me my overnight shipping.

Is the "Track Package" button highlighted on your order? Check it out, because my order page still says "Pre-Ordered" too - but when I click on "Track Package," the status says "in transit" from New Jersey.

It's there now, wasn't an hour ago.  The tracking number doesn't work yet (means the label has been generated but the package hasn't been scanned by UPS), but at least they shipped it.  Perhaps they can't officially invoice it until midnight since that is the actual release date.

Since the CD is an "Auto Rip" purchase, I was hoping the songs might be in my Cloud Player tonight, but they're not. But I am tempted to stay up until midnight to see if they appear when it turns Feb. 25th.  :P

I got my Target CD today! I actually listened to it. I usually go on a month long CW hiatus before I see them, but I didn't this time. I'm refusing to listen to it any more until after the show Sunday.

My grandmother went to Target to get it for me and they didn't have it which ticked me off. I bought it on iTunes but I still REALLY WANT those bonus tracks! What ticks me off is our Target said they had it and they didn't.

Next time, you might try calling that location and making someone physically go and look for it on the shelf, not just check on the computer. They may also be able to hold it for you to go pick it up.  :)

Mine got delivered to my office.  Amazon shipped it ground, but charged me for overnight.  Needless to say I'm disputing the extra charge.

I'll probably wait to watch it on Saturday night with everyone else since by then I will have a brand new monitor and will have the Blu-Ray drive on the computer working again.

Picked up the Target version of the CD on the way home, and the Blu-Ray was on the doorstep when I got home. A successful, but expensive day.   :P

I love the cd. Got mine yesterday on my way home. Target version. I've gotta say, I LOVE She Moved Through The Fair. That version is fantastic! I particularly love who they used the electric guitar in the background as a sub for the majority of the former strings parts. I was disappointed they cut the drum battle in Mo Ghile Mear and the extended intro/singing battle to TAR.

I got it just today. And I will put it in my DVD player right away.

I just got my CD/DVD today at Target!!! Except I won't actually receive it until the 3rd (my birthday). So I'm going to miss the chat by 2 days, which is  :(, but at least I will be getting it! ;D
