on a side note:
Looking through the CD track list I can see why they chose those songs, most of them reflect Ireland. I'm sad that they've excluded Orinoco Flow from the DVD, I was looking forward to seeing it done with the new choreography and the capes they use. If I'm not mistaken, it's also missing Granuaile's Dance, Tribute to Broadway and the Finale. Perhaps they'll all be aired on PBS next year.

I'm glad that they've kept a majority of the songs and especially pleased Scarlet Ribbons seems to be making an appearance on the album.

Oh man!! Orinoco Flow gets the boot again, thats really sad to hear:(

also its a shame the other songs are missing but i think the playoff is the finale

Mabe the missing songs are exclusive for the blueray

I though the playoff was the ceili playoff, but that makes more sense

That's a relief :)

That being said, every so often the PBS and DVD version don't match up like True Colours/You'll Be in My Heart, Carolina Rua, O Holy Night (ANJ version) etc.

Hopefully we'll see the other songs, although in your review you said Granuaile's Dance had been cut from the PBS version, and it's not on the DVD either, so I'd assume it's just gone :(

Now! The only thing I wonder is whether the group songs are going to have Chloe's vocals or Mairead Carlin's.

If we want to watch Granuaile's Dance there's always ANJ.  I ordered both the CD and DVD from PBS so I can tell you what the PBS version looks like once I get it.

I am looking forward to watching O.F. over and over so  hope that you are correct and its on a DVD. Well worth paying a premium to get it!

Wondered that too. Probably because her solo's are not any different from the previous recordings.

Yeah that's probably why Chloe's solos aren't on there either.  That's okay though.  :)

I hope that it's the Mairead Carlin's version of She Moved Thru The Fair in CD, because in the DVD it's the version with Chloe and Lisa, it would really show the powerful voice of Mairead !

They may have recorded the CD in September and that is why the Australian Tour was postponed ?

Possibly, but I think the postponement of the Australian tour was more due to Chloë's departure, and the fact that they didn't have time to rehearse the show with Mairead because Susan was occupied with Cats. Well, we'll see. It would be interesting if Mairead was in all the songs, especially as it is being used to promote the Emerald Tour, although it would be nice to have as a sort of send off to Chloë.

I've gotta say I sincerely hope Susan gets her own solo for this next tour. Don't get me wrong! She's amazing on Caledonia and The Voice. Caledonia in particular is wonderful! But I really hope the next special that Lisa let slip about really lets Susan shine like I've seen her do. Cuz in my opinion, people don't seem to think as much of her as they should.

I agree.  She does Lisa K's songs beautifully, but she deserves her own signature song.  She did get her very own solo in the HFC Special, which was AWESOME!  But she also needs her own non-Christmas solo!  :)

However, I can't wait to have her recordings of Caledonia and The Voice on my iPod!!!  XD

Me too! No matter how well Susan does Caledonia and The Voice, people will inevitably associate the songs with Lisa K. A signature song would really be fantastic. While 'It Came Upon a Midnight Clear' is AMAZING, it's a christmas song, and not on an album either. She needs one she can sing all year!

I'm looking forward to seeing her next Friday in Sydney and hearing her, what I hear are amazing renditions of Caledonia and The Voice!

I think Susan should "Into the West" from the Lord of the rings soundtrack. She would OWN that song! It would be divine!

Orinoco flow was likely not included due to potential copyright issues. They had a struggle with that during ANJ and later releases of that concert do not contain Orinoco flow for that reason

Working under the assumption that Chloë is not on the album because she has no solo songs, (neither Nocturne or Ave Maria are present), I would guess that Mairead C takes Scarlet Ribbons and She Moved Through the Fair as both Susan and Lisa each have two solo numbers. If I had to guess, The New Ground could very well be a new arrangement with Mairead on fiddle.

That's a bit of a disappointment, I was really looking forward to hearing it. Well, I guess that means Mairead C might not be on the album after all :( , but it could mean we get one final album with Chloë on it :)

We'll know for sure about the track list and who's on it when the samples come out.

True, I hope they're out soon. I hope they release an extended 'sizzle reel' too, like the ones they did for Songs from the Heart, Believe and Home for Christmas.

I don't know how serious this tracklist is, since they wrote CalAdonia instead of Caledonia.

Maybe "Getmusic" has simply copied the amazon's tracklist

I must say that i think the setlist for both CD/DVD are a little bit vague to me, I hope the information they give isn't complete

Take for example the dvd they listed Calededonia, Bridge and Ave Maria as Bonus content what doesnt make sense if they are seperated for a special feature on the dvd

Walmart's website had Scarlet Ribbons on the track list, but it has to be a mistake then if Maggie said it wasn't released.  I agree with everyone else: that is a huge bummer. :(  I won't get to see her perform it either, at least not this year, since I don't plan on attending a show.  I do plan to get her album though, so hopefully it will be on there.

Moving away from the track list, I really hope we get samples of the songs soon, since the album will be out in a few weeks. :)

Oh gosh yes I really want samples!  XD

Hmmm. Even though I'm getting the CD from Amazon, I may just get this too - get to hear it sooner that way. CD's not coming until early March, this is Feb 25.  :)

No matter what happens, it always winds up costing me money.   :D

Well, it's not available in France yet. I checked. I hope it will, but given what happened with SFTH and Believe, I won't hold my breath.
