Title: DVD?
Post by: The Leprechaun on January 09, 2015, 08:27PM
Does anyone know if there is going to be a DVD of the ten year anniversary tour or not? I thought at first that their might be, but then I haven't heard anything more about it. Does anyone know?

Well, they were originally talking about making a new DVD. I know peoppe were asking Maggie and she was mentioning a project being in the works but was being vague about it. HOWEVER, given that it seems like Lisa will be leaving us at some point this year and that she and Lynn will be alternating, I think it's a good bet that whatever plans they have will be postponed until a new, permanent member is introduced.

I agree that there SHOULD be one, but I also agree that it might not be made until later. Given that we currently don't really know Lisa's status (though it seems to be implied that she'll be leaving after the North America Tour is over), I doubt that it'd happen anytime soon. And given that the tour will be ending at the end of June, it seems unlikely it'll be this year. Granted they have some time in the summer, I doubt they'll just announce a new girl that soon and just fire her out of a cannon like that.

If it's going to be something like Emerald, I wish they would not make it. I miss the good old SFTH times.

Emerald was great, but that was it. I hope they will make a big concert special, preferably outdoors!

The Slane Castle and the Powerscourt Gardens are great examples. :)

I've never seen Red Rocks, so that would be cool, or Dublin Castle.

How about Kiltinan Castle? But that one has to be saved for the ALW concert I've planned ;P

There's one thing that I'm hoping for: Meav to be part of the show.

Like some people said before, I'd rather wait and see something spectacular like ANJ or SFTH than have something like Emerald. Not that Emerald was bad, but I really wish they'd do another special with all new songs in a gorgeous setting.

I agree with the wait,
It could pave way more a chance for some of our favorite member's to take part in.
Tenth Anniversary special should mark the focus on Ten Year's
As much as Mairead C is a new permanent member seeing another one is too surprising
just the fact it shows that Celtic Woman is continuing and continuing..
