I've been a fan/true believer since I saw a rerun (I doubt it was the first time it aired; I'm not *that* lucky) about three years ago.
I think the first song I heard was 'May It Be' performed by the inestimable Lisa Kelly. I don't remember what my exact thoughts were, but they were probably something to do with her treatment of the song. Where Enya laids it on five (or six?) times (in reference to her recording style), Mrs. Kelly only had to do it once to get me hooked. I hope I'm not the only one who keeps secretly hoping she'll sing it again (at a live concert, that is).
Hmm... that should do for starters. Apologies if I seem overly formal, but I like to play it (really) safe when it comes to joining forums.

Like Jenny, I'm not exactly a new member, (well, technically we all are since this a new forum ;)) but I thought I'd post a little about myself for anyone who has any questions.

Jenny's list-style seems the most easy/efficient way of going about things, so I'll try it!

Hi. I'm Katie.
Obviously, I'm completely captivated by all things Celtic Woman.
I'm not really a very trusting person online, so if I seem a bit aloof, please don't be offended.
My other passions include Marine Biology and violin.
I like to call the violin my "transition" passion because it relates both to Celtic Woman, and the rest of the world.
I have played the violin for about 8 years, and I don't ever plan to stop!
Frequently, while I am on the forums, I am eating tomato soup. It's good for the soul  ;D
I am on a swim team. If I'm not on the forum one night, you can bet it's because I'm wiped out from practice!
I like to learn things. I am absolutely starving for new things to learn.
I really love Irish names. My future husband has no choice but to name our kids with Irish in mind.
While all of the Celtic Ladies are absolutely wonderful, Meav will always be my favorite! (Followed closely by everyone else!)
I am a Christian, and proud!
I can and most definitely will make banners for signatures or websites! Feel free to ask!
I know enough German enough to carry on small talk. I'm still learning...so keep that in mind!
Not many of my friends/family (close to none) enjoy Celtic Woman, and if they do, definitely not to the degree that any of us do! So that's why I come on here!
Chocolate can solve all problems.
I definitely appreciate the little things in life!
I have a dog who's got more in common with Hayley Westenra than she does with any of my family. (She's an Australian Cow Dog...probably makes trips over to New Zealand to share a bone with the locals when I'm not home...)

Another not new member. I'm 52 yrs. old, retired and take it one day at a time. I enjoy coin collecting and love the look of gold.I'm not married anymore,I have one son who is 15, and he is my life. I like all types of  music except punk,rap, etc. I used to write alot and I have self published 1 book and 1 cd of my own material. I fell in love with 'Lisa' the first time I saw her, and ever since I have found another friend. Her voice and sound sends chills down my back. I've never known anything like her to affect me before.I spend alot of time in the Drs. office ,but I keep a positive outlook.

Hi, I am probably the oldest fan of CW (not age)  I saw them the very first time the show aired on PBS and I have been hooked ever since.  I was one of the original members of the very first CW sponsored chatroom/forum.  I have been very fortunate to have met all the CW family members (Except Haley) and they are all fantastic people.  I used to play trombone in the symphony, and I was a music major in college, so I think I am qualified to say that CW has a lot of talent.  The one thing I like the best about CW is the way they stay grounded.  The Ladies really appreciate their fans and they are so kind to us.

Hi Stu!!  So glad to have one of the "original" members of the first forum here!  Hope we can make this one the best yet! We will certainly do our best anyway!  If memory serves me correctly... didn't the original forum at one time have in excess of 1000 people?  I can't remember for sure.  Would be lovely if we could bring those numbers back up again. We'll see what happens.

My name is Kim and I'm a grad student studying music and religion.  I've been involved in music ensembles for most of my life playing the trumpet, violin, or the piano.  When I'm not in school, I teach private string lessons.  I'm into rock climbing, skydiving, and anything that is extreme. 

I first discovered Celtic Woman while shopping at a Celtic store in Colorado Springs.  They were playing their CD over the sound system and I instantly liked them.  I don't think I actually caught their show until the second time around on my local PBS station.  But, since then they've been my favorite group to listen too.

There was a forum long before that one.  It was the first edition of the CW forum. it was more like a chatroom, but not a very good format.  At the time, it was all we had so we liked it.  Paul B. was the#1 poster, and I was #2.  There were very few members back then, but we got the ball rolling and now look where it is.

Of the 1000+ forum members, about 700 were spambots so they don't count.

Nooo... we don't want any spam bots here!  I think we have it set up well enough this time that we are able to avoid those.  At the rate it's growing I suspect we will have plenty of members by this time next year.

I love the color green, mainly because i have green eyes and im uber proud of them! lol Since you and I Were True is among one of my favorite Meav Songs but how can you really choose just one Song of Meav's.... Hello!  My name is Ennica, and I'm a Celtic Woman fan.  I'm also a Deirdre Shannon fan and a Celtic Tenors fan.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them all.  I discovered CW in March 2006.  I attended a concert in April of that year, and I've been hooked and reeled in ever since.  Since then, I've discovered (and met) Deirdre Shannon and the Tenors.  Celtic music has been a great salve for me over the last year, and I can honestly say I'm happier now than I've ever been.  I've made new friends along the way, and attending so many "Live" shows has given me something to look forward to. 

I'm a lawyer who can't figure out what she wants to be when she grows up.  Still working on that, but I wish I could have realized that being a lawyer wasn't for me before I went to law school.   ;D Would have saved me time and money.   ::)  I love animals and most people.  I tend to keep quiet unless I have something in particular to say, and that's not very often.  So, don't expect many posts from me.  I'll probably be a "Newbie" forever.  LOL!  Well, except for the two threads I moderate.

Anyway, I'll see you guys around the Funhouse.

Hi! I'm new! I just wanted to let people I'm here and just to say hi! I won't say my age, but I am a teen, my friend Emily (who is younger) introduced me to CW and I accidently saw the latest show on PBS one day. I love the music, my brother hates it, dad likes the fiddle music, and mom dosen't care. I spent the last weekend camping with my friends and with every free moment climbed into the van and listened to my cassette (long story) of CW. I have never been to a concert, but would LOVE to! Don't own a single cd or DVD but my birthday is next month, so heres hopeing!

This is a bit off topic but since you are of middle-eastern origin, and you like Celtic music, you MUST listen to the music of Loreena McKennitt.  I reccommend the cd "The Visit" it is fantastic.  Her last three cd's  all blend the music of the Middle-east with the Celtic sound and it produces something that is very special.  If you would like to hear a sample, just send me a PM.  I have all her cd's and I would be more then happy to email you a song to try out.

Okay....WHY did I not see this here?!

Hi...I'm FaFo...most of you know me from the Lisa forum!(by the way, I just hit 500 posts on there!)
I play the guitar, and Máiréad inspired me, so now I wanna play violin, too!
I want to move to Ireland someday.  Or at least visit it frequently.
I have loved CW since the end of last year.  If I can remember...Over the Rainbow got me extra-hooked.  But I love The Voice, SDS, SMAS, Spanish Lady, the whole sheebang.  If you haven't guessed yet, my fave is Lisa! ;D ::) But all the girls totally rock!  I went to my first concert on March 24th.
I am a major God-follower!  Wit the capital G!  (Christian is the term, but there are too many negative biases that are untrue that come with it, sadly.)
Just a random thing...I love the color red....and green.  Not really together though.  Too commercially Christmas-y.
I love to sing and to draw...as well as random fact finding, any learning at all, reading, the intellectual likes.  Sometomes, you'd never know from how I acted! ;D

I took a lil break (almost a year  :o) after the last forum crashed when I was the Admin.  It's tough being a member of CW forums almost from the very start of things so I enjoyed a little hiatus.  One thing for sure it's really nice to be back in the swing of things again.  I signed up right before I had to leave for the Wolftrap Concert.  The ladies were splendid and it was nice to have the music revive me so.

Hi I am jillebeans. I am a single mom of 2 beautiful kids I am addicted to celtic woman. I came across a PBS special and the end of last year and was hooked. They have inspired me.
I have been to 2 of their concerts but haven't met any yet. Hopefully 2008.
Let's see what else. I grew up on a farm in wyoming and now live in Utah. I don't have to work so it gives me time to play, work in my garden, scrapbook, or build things. I also strangely enough like to clean, cook, can fruits, and jams.

Hello, I live in New York.  I saw the show when it was on tour here.  Loved it!!! since I am such a fan of the show I thought I'd join in on the discussions and be apart of all the fun.  The girls seem so nice and what talent. 
My only wish was that they didn't stay in new york longer.  why is that? I would think that there would be such a demand for this sort of talent here. 
I will check the tour schedule.  hopefully the girls will be coming back to new york, if not I do have vacation time coming up maybe I'll take a well deserved and needed vacation! lol

My name is Amy, I'm 14 years old, and I came here from the Lisa Kelly Forum. My best friend Taylor got me into Celtic Woman about six months ago, and I've been hooked since. I listen to all kinds of music, from CW to My Chemical Romance to The Trans-Siberian Orchestra to Rockapella. I tend to lean more towards darker stuff, but I'll never turn down some Queen or Rufus Wainwright. MY least favorite genres are Country and Rap/R'n'B, but even some of that I like.

I don't think I have a favorite in Celtic Woman. All of them are fantastic. I've never been to a concert, but part of me thinks that Mairead might be the most fun to watch.

I am a singer, a soprano, to be exact. I'm no Meav, but I like to think I'm pretty talented. I also play piano, but I'm mainly self-taught and not very good.

Hi everyone.  I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I'm a newbie here! I joined just because CW is divine and I don't think I can ever get enough of them. ;-)

Anyways...a little bit about me.  I am *insert youngish age here because my parents would kill me if they found out I said how old I was online* and I love everything to do with classic literature.  Shakespeare, Dickens, Hugo, Hardy, Scott, Doyle, Lewis...etc.  Call me a nerd if you wish. ;-) I won't dispute it.  I play the piano and I enjoy giving lessons and accompanying at my church.  I love to sing, but I'm not necessarily great.  My family became Roman Catholic 3 years ago and it was the best thing that ever happened to me.  Besides all that, I enjoy blogging, chess, rock climbing, ultimate frisbee, eating popcorn, and being a total Tolkien freak (my username is Elvish if you were wondering). 

I look forward to whatever (little) time I will find to spend here!!

Hi to everyone,

I'm the newest newbie here (for the time being, until the next takes my place) and just wanted to say that even though I haven't been in this forum for long now, I already feel like I'm really welcome here. ;) Must be the Celtic Woman influence that makes everyone such a nice person.
I've been a Celtic woman fan for more than a year now, just found out about them on TV ads and as soon as I listened to the first songs I got addicted (guess I'm not the only one here).
I really hope that I eventually will get to see them on stage (hopefully next year if the European tour ever gets rescheduled).
Yeah well what else to say... oh yeah, I'm from Germany and my favorite Celtic Woman is Lisa, I also like the others, but Lisa moves me the most. ;)

Hi everyone!  ;D New member here! I'm Emily and I'm 22. I'm a recent college graduate and soon to be law student(in August '08) from Miami, FL. :)

I'm pretty new to CW, although I enjoy them so much that I already feel like a seasoned fan! I had heard of them, because I went to college in Tallahassee, FL, so I frequently saw commercials for their concert in Tallahassee on TV, but I had never seen any of their shows on PBS.

This fall, I caught their Christmas concert on PBS and I was instantly hooked. I'm a huge fan of all things and people from Ireland, however, so when I started getting into their music absolutely no one was shocked, haha. I'm also a huge fan of people who are, you know, actually talented musicians, so that was a draw too (haha). I immediately went on their website and learned everything I could about them so I would be "in the know," if you will. :) I'm also a big fan of Enya, The Corrs and most U2.

Anyway, I missed their show here in Miami in October (though I know some people who went and said it was awesome), but I bought tickets for the Jacksonville show on March 5. I'm planning on driving up, but it's not 100% because I've got to figure out my work situation first (the concert is on a Wednesday). I figured I would buy the ticket anyway. I don't have fantastic seats or anything, but I'm just thrilled at the prospect of seeing them live.

I really adore Lisa, so I'm a little sad I won't be seeing her in March, but I'm sure Alex will be great too and I wish Lisa luck with her new little baby. :) I'm a big Máiréad fan as well, so I'm ecstatic to see her!!!! Favorite CW song at the moment is "The Voice."

Well what can I say I  am a new CW lover. I saw the ANJ on my local PBS channel and just loved them all. I surprised my mom for her birthday last Oct 13th with tickets to see them. Hi everyone - thank you for my welcome.  By way of introduction my name is Angie and I live in Southern California.  I am English born however, growing up in Lancashire, England until I was 17, when my family emmigrated to the U.S.  I am one of Celtic Woman's older fans, mother of five daughters and one son, and grandmother of 14, but young-at-heart and GOOD-LOOKING (still 18 inside).   I ADORE CELTIC WOMAN and I am so GRATEFUL I found them on K.V.C.R.  I own all the c.d's and the dvd of the first concert in Dublin.  I watch it OVER AND OVER and listen to their music in my car always.  I cannot tell you how HEALING it is to pop that dvd in and relax as I am TRANSPORTED into ANOTHER WORLD AND TIME with such beautiful images and sounds.  It takes me away from the pressures and problems of my life and into another DIMENTION where time does NOT exist and the world is BEAUTIFUL. It touches my SPIRIT , lifting me up and carrying me when needed.  It also takes me back to my childhood, and songs I learned in school,  "Isle of Innesfree", and "Down by the Sally Garden" , along with SO many other FAVORITES, as well as newer and original songs.  My favorites are Lisa, Orlagh, Chloe and of course Mairead (my little FAIRY).  They are ALL PRECIOUS to me !    How can ALL these people on the Celtic Woman Forum say that they are C.W.'s biggest fans  WHEN EVERYONE KNOWS THAT I AM !!!!!!   Thank you ALL for your friendship and I know I will LOVE this experience.    Celtic Woman FOREVER  !!!         Angie Larsen, Ca.   [   ( quote author=CWF Administrator link=topic=21.msg48#msg48 date=1175400423]

I can't remember if I introduced myself already or not...if not: Hello, I am Feaniack, I have 2 children 9 & 3.  The oldest plays drums and piano with dreams of becoming - you guessed it - a "Percussionist/Composer" .   I've been to 4 concerts.  The best was Spring '08 in Louisville KY.  It had an awesome drum duet!!! I am a generation "X"er who grew up listening to a myriad of musical genres in my home. All of my family plays something.  If you have any questions or curiosities, please feel free to ask.  :)

Hello to all members of this forum. As I write in another thread I will tell a little bit more about me.

My real name is Ralf and I life in germany in a little town called Helmstedt. Maybe  some of you know this city as a former border town to the german democratic republic.

To myself: I am 44 years old and I am married. I am working in the town-hall as a registrar.

To my musical affectations beside CW: There are many many many interpreters I like. I have a very wide spectrum. Beginning with the Hardrockheroes of the 80s und 90s like Dio, Whitesnake, Judas Priest et.. Anymore I like  Delta Goodrem, Katie Melua, A fine frenzy and Blackmores Night.

One of my greatest favorites is Marillion.  On November the 26th I will go to their concert in cologne and next year in March I will visit the Marillionweekend in the netherlands in a center park. 3 nights and 4 days together with the group and we (my wife and I) will see 3 concerts in this time. I don't know any other musician, who is nearer to their fans.

So if you have any questions about me, you can ask me.

Sadly my last english lesson is about 30 years ago and so please forgive me, if my English is a little bit bad.

Welcome aboard and your English is very good. I run into many Europeans who come into our store periodicaly and they are embarassed with their English speking skills. They are much better than my Spanish or Italian.

I would have the same issue in England as I speak American. It takes me a bit of time to understand my English Cousin, so have no worries. Join in the fun and no one will remember what country you are from as we live in the Celtic Woman Village.

I've been lurking for a little bit, so I thought I'd take the plunge. I was a Mairead fan long before I ever heard of Celtic Woman, but they have all cast their spell on me now. I've been watching them on YouTube continously for weeks, and I'm definitely hooked. I hope to get to at least one show this year maybe two.
I would have liked to have seen Orla stay with the show but understand that touring can be a grind. Maybe she'll show up at Red Rocks, where I'm assuming the next DVD is going to be taped, but I haven't actually seen that stated anywhere.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to reading everyone's insights on the show.

Hello, my name is Rosie and my husband is Ron.  We are new fans to Celtic Woman.  We saw them on our local PBS station a few months ago and have been captivated ever since.  We are way up in the Pacific Northwest in a little town called Mount Vernon some 65 miles north of Seattle.  I just retired from full time ministry as a Hospice Chaplain.  I am now available on call.  Many of my patients were aware of Celtic Woman and that made for some spirited conversations with them.  I had the privilege of being with hundreds of people in the last few months of their lives.  CW helped many slip quietly into God's arms.  Happily we will be at the May 17th 3pm showing in Seattle...can't wait.  I am enjoying all of your reviews and remarks.  Reading about the Girls makes them so real and easy to love.  I am wondering how you go about getting M&G tickets.  I am having a hard time
getting any direction.  Lisa is a favorite but am now beginning to feel deep admiration for all of the girls.  Meav and Orla have found a place in my heart and I had to let them go even before I really had them.  Do you ever get this far West for any of their shows?  You all look like you have a great time together...would be fun to hook up some time.  Rich has a direct line to Lisa's heart...would love to meet her some time.  Glad I found this forum.  Thanks for shareing your pictures and your reviews...I have absolutely no self control...so, I read them all!

Welcome to the forum! To answer your question, M&G tickets are typically sold through the local PBS stations, so your best bet at scoring some of them is to contact your local PBS regarding the show. They sell out pretty quickly so you've got to be fast most of the time. :D Other, more experienced (:D) forum members can correct me on this if I'm wrong. I've only purchased M&G tix once so far so I'm no expert. :D

We have lots of members on the West Coast, and I'm sure there are quite a few going to the Seattle show! :)

I am new as well - just a couple of days... Katie, I read your note and it sounds like we have loads in common! I am a Christian gal, too, and hope that my life and my personality comes thru as a blessing to the Lord.  I love music, also, altho my instrument is the flute. (I actually have a purple flute! - I told you I love purple!) I played clarinet, bass clarinet and oboe in school, but now that I'm older I am learning the instrument that I have always longed to play, and that's the flute. I am also a soloist, and would love to record something some day.  I would love to do "Send Me a Song" and dedicate it to my husband - as I first heard Lisa sing it when he was serving in Iraq, and every time I heard it I just boo-hooed like a baby! I love animals - I've done a lot of animal rescue over the years, and helped find homes for hundreds of stray cats and dogs.  I had a ferret named Andromeda (Andy) and she was my baby for 6 years until I lost her just days after the CW concert in Charlotte last year... on Chloe's CD, there is a song called "To Where You Are" (Josh Groban also does a beautiful version of that song) and it gave me a lot of comfort while I was mourning her loss.  Now, I sponsor a ferret at a ferret rescue organization.  I couldn't bear to get another ferret, but I wanted to take care of one, so I am sponsoring a sweet little girl ferret named Louise, who looks a lot like my little Andy.  Well, anyway, I know that has nothing to do with CW! I was just telling a little about myself and what my passions are.  SO, next to purple, flute, and animals, the next thing I love is writing poetry!  I wrote a poem about CW and the wonderful Mr. Rich Ropes thrilled me by including it in the newsletter "The Voice" from the LisaKellyFan site.  I hope you get a chance to read it... it really came pouring from my heart one day - I just sat down and the words flowed out of my pen - I am not even sure my brain had anything to do with it!  My heart just speaks straight to my pen sometimes and it amazes me how that works!! I live in North Carolina, am a stay-at-home homeschooling mom (except this year I have my daughter in a private Christian school and that seems to be working really well, so I am thinking about just keeping her in there - she is 14) - and I am married (18 years) to a National Guardsman who has served in Iraq and has been in the guard for 25 years... now he is finally getting to retire because he sustained some shoulder injuries in Iraq and they are saying that now he is non-deployable - therefore he is getting a medical retirement.  I am really proud of him (his name is David) and I just pray that the Lord will take care of us right now, as his full time job is ending too, as it is tied into the guard - he is a civilian technician and you have to be in the guard to work there - they are retiring him medically, too, but his job will end before the retirement pay starts coming in... it's just a really scary feeling.  Anyway, I mention this because I am just freaking out that I won't be able to afford tickets to the CW concert in Charlotte this year!  I am sure it will work out ok, tho.  I also wanted to tell how I found out about CW.... Hubby was overseas - I was having a really hard time coping with his long absence, and I turned on PBS, which I LOVE, one night and my timing was impeccable, as it was at the very beginning of the show... it was the Helix show, and I had no idea what I was seeing, but my mouth fell open when I heard that lovely CW sound.... I was having sensory overload - the voices, the instruments, the quality of the music... well - YOU know!!!  NEway - I was instantly a lifetime fan (and at that point, I didn't even know what it was called or who these girls were until the PBS rep came on during an intermission to talk about it.) It was really a blessing while I was coping with David's deployment - the music gave me such comfort and something to help heal my heart as I was missing him so much.  As soon as I found out about the DVD, I went out and bought it - and I bought one for a friend of mine who loves Irish music, too, and SHE fell in love with them, too! Since then, I have been like a vulture, waiting on each new CD and DVD, or news of what's going on... waiting to swoop down and grab anything Celtic Woman as soon as I saw it!!!!  OK - I know I am really long-winded (it's a good thing I'm not a preacher, huh?!) I guess it's the writer in me coming out - when I am writing about something that I feel so passionate about, this is what happens!  To make a long story short - (ha ha ha ha ha!!!) I am happy to be a member of the CW forum, and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you.  Thanks for reading to the end of this novel!  Blessings to everyone!  Bev.

Welcome Bev!  I read your poem in The Voice and thought it was amazing!  I have done my fair share of animal rescue for many years, though my health prevents me from doing it any more.  I've rescued everything from wildlife to dogs and cats to exotic animals.  Mostly bullmastiff dogs though...I did that exclusively for almost 20 years.  It's a tough "job", but you get so much more back than you give!  I'm glad you've joined us here on the forum, and I hope to see you post often!

I have loved celtic music ever since I can remember.  Most of my friends growing up were into britney spears or the backstreet boys, but celtic music for me was mystifying.  I loved the instruments, the vocals, and basically everything about celtic music.  Then about a year ago my mom bought me the New Journey dvd and I was absolutley hooked.  I could not believe that I had never heard them before.  I have watched that dvd soooooo many times and never tire of it.  I have to  say that Lisa Kelly is my favorite.  I love her voice.  I just had the privalege of going to see Celtic Woman on 2/25 at the Palace in Louisville, KY.  It was awsome. Took my younger sister with me and she loved it even though she's not been as big a fan as me (I'm still working on her ;D).  I am hopeing to maybe go again when they come back to this area.

Ok a little about me.  I will be 24 this month.  I live in Kentucky and have all my life.  Look forward to getting to know you all.

Hello everyone.  Not sure if I'm the normal type for these forums as I've only heard 1 song from CW and only heard it once.

Really just here to better understand my girlfriend who is one heck of a fan of yours.  I've been working on a project for her that I needed some help on and I thought this community would be great for tossing me a helping hand.  Where do I go to ask questions about CW related art projects and images and things?  I don't want pictures as the medium I am using will make it completely impossible to transfer the picture in any detail.

Once I found the forum, I was constantly reading threads, especially anything having to do with the totally amazing Lisa Kelly.  I love Lisa, she's so talented and so beautiful.  I also really like Orlagh Fallon.  Well, I've liked everyone I've ever heard from Celtic Woman but Lisa and Orla are my favorites by far.

But being a new member to the forum, I'm still really new to everything on here.  Can anyone tell me how to add a banner to your signature?  Before I joined, I worked really hard on making a banner.  But sadly I can't seem find an explination in the stuff for newbies.  So some step by step help would be greatly appreciated.

Besides that, I tend to be very enthusiastic when it comes to anything Celtic Woman so as soon as I start getting comfortable with all of this, my presence will likely be known.  But rest assured, I'm a nice person, who like meeting people and has a lot of love for these seriously talented Irish women.

Hi, I'm Adam and I'm a huge Celtic Woman fan. I would like everyone here with a facebook acount to join the group Celtic Woman, Are they even human? I don't think so. They seem more like angels or goddesses to me. My favorite is Lisa, but Alex now ranks a close second. Mairead is spectacular, Chloe is great, and Lynn is really good too. Don't forget all the former members even Deidre, even though I've never heard her perform. It was a shame when Hayley left as was Orla's and Meav's departure. My name is Cindy...and I...um...like my home decorated in with hearts...and fluffy bunnies...with lots of PURPLE--LOL!  I've been a huge fan of ENYA since I was a teenager...and when I ran across a Celtic Woman concert on PBS while flipping through the channels, my heart skipped a beat as I listened to the most awesome angelic-sounding voices...of the most beautiful ladies singing...with a little fairy skipping around playing the fiddle! For some reason my heart was especially drawn to Lisa.  There's just something "extra precious" about her to me.  She touches my soul.

Since then I've collected every Celtic Woman cd and dvd so far.  I am totally smitten with them!

I finally got to see them in concert for the first time this past weekend in Houston, TX!!  WOO-HOO!!!  They were absolutely amazing!  My eyes welled up with tears several times...just because I was just so honored to get to see them live.  I will always treasure getting to see them in concert...and can't wait till they come to Houston again!  Hopefully next time I can get front row seats with SNOOKIE!!  ;)

Well...I'm so happy to have run across this forum!  Now I can hang out at a place where no one will get tired of hearing about how awesome Celtic Woman is--LOL!!

Hello from a newbie in Houston!  I discovered Celtic Woman a couple of years ago on PBS and I have been enchanted ever since.  I finally had the opportunity to see them live Friday night at the Toyota Center here in Houston.  My husband, who is also a fan, went with me.  We had 7th row center seats and it was an evening that will be with us forever.

I enjoy and hope someday to meet all the ladies but Lisa is my favorite.  Her voice touches my soul and her inner beauty shines through.  Is there an active forum presence in Houston?  Is there typically a meet and greet here?

I have enjoyed the forum very much so far and look forward to reading more of the information and sharing here!

Heh, I started posting in other threads without introducing myself here first.  Where are my manners?  :)

Hello everyone.  I've long been a fan of beautiful music and wonderful shows, so it's not surprise that Celtic Woman is such a good fit.  I first heard about them via the Cirque du Soleil fan forums (where we do talk about other things as well!), which lead me to buy their New Journey CD.  All of the girls have such wonderful voices, and you cannot help but love Máiréad's energy in her fiddle playing.  I'm only now joining the forum because my interest was fanned into a passion, thanks to seeing the Isle of Hope tour in Houston, TX. 

Aside from Cirque du Soleil shows, I also enjoy seeing musicals, operas, and plays.  My music tastes have such a wide range that it's easier to say what I don't listen to (heavy rap and heavy country).  I sing well enough for myself, so I tend to limit it to while I'm in the car.  Other than that, I'm an artist.  I've worked in clay and acrylic paints, as well as Photoshop, but my preferred media is Prismacolor pencil on dark papers.

I think I've rambled long enough.  Glad to be here!

Hi!  My name is Piper Dawn, and I live in Central Texas, USA.  Here is my post in the section for the Isle of Hope tour, and I'd like to state it here as well.  :-)  'I was blessed to attend a Celtic Woman concert on Sunday night in Austin, TX, during which I went through almost an entire pack of tissues! We used much of their music at our 8th wedding anniversary Vow Renewal service at our church after my husband returned home from the war in Iraq. (He is a US soldier.)  It was our "big church wedding" finally after 8 yrs of marriage. He is about to return to the war again for another year. Here are my comments upon returing home from the concert on Sunday night: "I am humbled by God's universal & heavenly language called music, which is understood by every heart and soul it graces. What an amazing honor and priviledge to witness a live performance of Celtic Woman."'  Truly, thank all of you for what you do, your talents are all gifts to the world.  You have touched my life and so many others with your beauty and grace.  You are all amazing.

My name says it all. I'm a lisa lover. I recently got into Celtic Woman, when slane castle aired on PBS. My initial reaction was blah maybe there is something better on T.V. A few days later pledging was still going on and I finally tuned in and stayed. I'm extremely happy i did. I don't know when, but at some point during the broadcast i was hooked. Now when PBS is pledging I'm always hoping it will be with Celtic Woman. Yesterday i went to their concert at SDSU and now have a celtic hangover. Totally worth it. BTW Lisa is gorgeous in person. Photos DO NOT do her justice.

I have posted a few times but wanted to introduce myself.
I live in Southern Orange County California. I have a love for my 38' Special - Baja performance powerboat. This might explain the user name. It consumed my life. That is until November 2007 when my sister in law was told by my wife that I liked to listen to Celtic Women on PBS. My sister in law gave my wife an I 4 tickets to the Greek to see CW. We sat 4 rows from the stage. It was amazing, even without Lisa. I felt a little cheated as my wife knows Lisa is the ONLY woman I would leave her for, this is after 27 years of marriage and love.
Notice the boat used to consume my life, now it is CW and the music. I must interject that David Downes is a genious, the ladies are beyond real description and I do not enjoy any other music now.
Now everyone I know from work to church know I am the fanatic. They get a kick out of calling them seltic women to see my reaction, I give them one averytime. Then I make them watch a DVD, then they get quiet and usually cry with full hearts.
I am sorry to ramble but this is a real heart felt subject in my life and of my family's.

I wish all of us well and celtic wishes.

ps My wife and I are making the trip to Dublin in September. I cannot wait.

hello everyone,i'm from florida and first heard of the celtic woman a few years ago, a friend of mine shared a dvd with me of the new journey tour,myself having an interest in music and good talent i instantly became a fan! i've seen the celtic woman three times in concert since then! i just seen them last night in concert,so needless to say i'm very uplifted now! it's something magical about these girls,everytime i see or hear them i just get so inspired and feel like a new person! i guess thats what the isle of hope is about!i can't wait to see them again, i will always get a seat as close to the stage as possible,i also give credit to the back-up singers and band members too!!  :)

Okay, let's see if I can do this.

        My name is Brett and I'm still kicking at the ripe old age of 18 (no not a typo just my first attempt at humor, it's 3 A.M. bear with me). I currently live in Alabama but I am and always will be a child of California, where I was born and raised. I am your quintessential nerd and into all things techy. I find an application for all music (save for rap) but am especially fond of classical which I go to bed to every night.

        I first discovered Celtic Woman when channel surfing believe it or not. I found something that was going to be coming on the local PBS channel that night that said Celtic Woman Christmas Special and was instantly intrigued. I have an Irish heritage and Celtic soul so I am drawn to anything Irish. I missed the beginning, however, so when I tuned in the first song I heard was The Voice. I was shocked, and that does not happen to me, but when I heard Lisa's voice I forgot what music was and began again anew. If that weren't enough, when I first saw Mairead chime in with the violin in that beautiful transition I was lost (being a violinist myself, I was personally touched when I discovered the presence of one in the group). It was captivating, and the greatest vocal performance I had ever heard, bar none. I did get the opportunity to record another showing and watch it in its entirety another four times.

        During the show there were advertisements for tickets to a concert for Celtic Woman coming up in Birmingham (75 minutes away). I was 18 years old and had never been to a real concert before. Nevertheless I decided I had to go see them live and ordered a pair of tickets for my sister, Heather and I to go. I ordered the tickets sometime in December for a concert in March. I nearly went insane during the interim. I was obsessed.

        When the day came around, I was ecstatic. I dressed up for the first time in two years and we took a trip down to Birmingham to see something astonishing. I will not go into the details of the performance here, as I would be hard pressed to do it justice, and being fellow fans I'm sure you can understand. Suffice it to say, I purchased an Isle of Hope coffee mug, and have used no other since. The silhouette of Mairead on the front is the perfect accompaniment to my mornings. I actually planned to see them again in their upcoming June 17 performance in Nashville and was planning on buying the tickets, but, much to my dismay, discovered I wasn't going to be able to make it. However, I have decided that on their next tour, I will be getting special meet and greet passes for the concert.

        So, in closing, I implore anyone who has not seen Celtic Woman live to do so at the earliest convenience. You will not regret it.

We ALL feel the same way.....especially once you`ve seen them.The glazed look in the eyes, the smile on your face..we all look like that here. The reason is simple, WE LOVE CELTIC WOMAN!!!!!

Nice story :) I think most of us found Celtic Woman by chance. PBS is very lucky, indeed. It was something new for them and luckily it all went so good. Hi I'm Tennessee!

I'm ofcourse new here but LOVE Celtic Woman.  My favorite has to be Orla and her harp.  Orla's voice is haunting and she transports you to where ever she is singing about.  I first saw them in Savannah, Ga. due to the fact my boyfriend was in love with Chloe and said I just had to hear her sing.  I am SO glad I went to hear that heavenly music.  I can now say I am a fan for life and look forward to seeing them again in the near future.

I guess you can sorta call me a newbie to this forum although I have been a member for awhile. Just decide toget on here more often. Especially after the Lubbock, Tx show last night. I am only 180 miles southwest of Lubbock New Mexico. I have been a fan of CW for a couple years now and have all the DVD's. I have to say this the DVD's are amazing but the show in person is just, for lack of better words, OMG!!!!!!!!! There is no way to describe it. I have been to some pretty awesome shows in my 51 yrs. and my no.1 show up to last night was 1978 Cobo Hall Detroit Michigan--Queen right after they released we will rock you. So now they fall to no.2. Anyway I's here. This is a really cool hangout.

My CW history:
I first heard of them 2 years ago but didn't really get into them until last December when I saw The Greatest Journey show on PBS. Since then I have bought all their CDs and DVDs and now I have tickets to my first concert ever next weekend at Long Beach.

I read some reviews on here and it sounds like its going to be one fantastic show. I can't wait! Thanks for reading!

I certainly do. The sad thing is is that they were around my area for a concert and I MISSED THEM!

I know what you mean. CW was at the Greek Theater last May and I couldn't make up my mind if I should try to go. The concert came and went, and at that point I kinda regretted missing it. So when the fall tour was announced I jumped at the chance and it was the best decision I ever made. Don't worry, though, you'll get your chance. :)

I'm Jenifer...yes that is the correct spelling. Im from little tiny Venice, FL and I was just looking at Celtic Woman pages when I happened upon this one. I first heard of Celtic Woman when I was watching some Anuna pieces in chorus and somebody mentioned that the celtic groups such as Celtic Woman had the best vowels, and now I can't quit listening to them.

Im so excited that I probably get to see them on April 18th in St.Pete.

HI, everyone I am from the surrounding area of Houston , absolutely love animals and am thinking of getting a Major in Zoology. I am a twin and today we turned twenty. ( funny I don't feel any wiser since now i am out of my teens :) ) I have started my second semester as a freshman in a local college. Well, hello everyone, my name is Evi and I am from the Netherlands.

I am a fan of the Celtic Woman ever since they begun.
So I have been there from the start! :D
Sorry for my grammar.. it''s horrible.
It is a subject at school, but the grammar is always the part... well... not good! :P
I am a happy girl of 18 and I am a member for what? 4 days now or something.
As I said, I am fan of the Celtic Woman since the start, but I the last years I was busy with school, jobs and other stuff.
I am quite normal I think, but my music taste is a little bit different then the most girls of my age. I really don't mind!

The reason I joined this forum just now is simple: I have lots and lots of free time!
I am going to pass my exams in May, I am sure, so I am having some free time now.
I decided to join forums and I am collecting as much pictures of the girls as possible :D
I am not going to deny Lisa is my favourite....
I can't help it, everytime I look at the DVD, I like Lisa the most! I have posters of her, I am busy with ordering all the DVD''s, CD's and songbooks.
I just love Lisa, my life would be totally different when she hasn''t been in it.....
I didn't get myself the DVD'S and CD's because I didn't have the money. Next is a ticket to Ireland or America to go to a concert!

My dream is to meet Lisa and the other girls one day.... I have much time left to go to many concerts, so I will do that!
If Lisa likes her fans, I am one of the biggest ones she is going to get. I am following her blog, I look on the fansite everyday, also on the official CW site, I post 2 comments on the fansite a week, I have a picasa account specialy for her, I watch the DVD's I have until midnight, my ipod is reserved for CW music and I have almost all pics of her and the girls... Bit crazy, but they are just my life!

Hi, I am a new forum member.  I am a member of Lisa's fan club but did not know about this one.    Thanks Lisaholic nr1 for your personal welcome.  Came as quite a nice suprise.  I have been a fan of CW for years from watching on PBS but never never believed all of this was available.  I have every CW cd and dvd as well as Lisa's, her fan club pic and pin and the incredible "Lisa-holic" tee.  I went to my first concert in Dallas this year and loved it.  Wore my Lisa-holic tee proudly!  Going again in August in Oklahoma.  I am as big a fan of Lisa's as anyone can be.  Love her.  Look forward to talking alot about CW and learning and doing more and more, like the Chats and the charity drive.  How fun is this!  Thanks to everyone involved.  THis is like a dream come true for this gray-headed ole lady from Dallas!

I am new to Celtic Woman.  I first saw them on a PBS special in 2009 the Songs of the Heart show.  I instantly fell in love with the group.  I was lucky enough to see them at a live concert this past April when they were on tour.  I now have all of the DVD's and am starting to learn about all of the performers both present and past.  My friends are getting tired of my talking about them so I decided to join the forum.  Now I have someone else who knows how I feel.

   This is Liz from Rio Linda, California. I love Celtic Woman. I have all their CD's and 2 of the DVD's down loaded on my I-touch which I listen to when I'm mowing the lawn, playing golf, vacuuming the swimming pool, painting my classroom and traveling on an airplane. I am a 4th grade teacher at St. Robert School, I even did a lip sync to "Nil Se'n La"  in front of the whole student body and staff. I wore a Dress(which I don't do), had a violin and a wig. Even moved on stage. The 1st grade teacher filmed it on my Ultra flip. Beside listening Celtic Woman, I scrapbook, coach volleyball, basketball and flag football. One of my goals is to get to all NFL stadiums(7 so far) and MLB stadiums99 so far). I am planning a trip to Ireland next Easter vacation.

Hello, I'm Marilla and I'm from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.  I am 19 years old.  I am an Irish and Highland dancer.  I also love to play the clarinet, bagpipes, and tin whistle.  I've liked Celtic woman from the first time I saw Celtic Woman aired on PBS.  I was disappointed to only see part of the concert that night, as I missed a huge portion due to my dance class that night.  I completely fell in love with Celtic Woman and with Lisa Kelly when I saw The Voice from A New Journey, when it was aired on PBS.  Since then I watch and listen to Celtic Woman as much as possible.  I was lucky enough to see Celtic Woman when they came to Winnipeg on Aug. 15, and it was a dream come true ;D.  I hope to be able to see them again some time.

  To all of those I have somehow missed-- Welcome to the forum. It's a great place to have fun and learn about CW!!!   Have a ball!!!!

Yes, I've noticed that there seems to be a fairly high incidence of twins who are CW fans (and is it me or does Lisa seem to be the favorite of most of the twins?) Glad to be part of another set of CW fans!
