Éabha starts recording her first album tomorrow (July 14th)!

Eabha left us a really nice message on Facebook:

Here's some key points:

• She's been taking it easy for the last week or so (understandably so, given the drastic change in routine after being on tour for 4 months).
• July 14th and 15th she's focusing on World Music types of songs.
• In August, she'll be recording Sean-nós songs for 2 days, the some contemporary songs for 2 days.
• Éabha letting us "Walk Beside" her on her journey. She wants to keep us up to date during the process about what she's doing and how she's feeling.

I think her letting us share in her journey is a wonderful idea, both as a marketing strategy and as a fan experience.   :D :D :D :D :D

Here's some other notes of interest from the video comments so far:

• It will be recorded at Cauldron Studios.
• Producer Ciaran Byrne is involved.
• Mairead and Karl Nesbitt are involved. Mairead will be recording with Eabha in August.
• Eabha will be on the next Celtic Woman tour! (she's not "taking a break" or anything)
• It will be mostly original songs, with a few arranged Sean-nós songs (traditional songs and it's not known who originally wrote those ones)

Tonight we did some live recording for my album in St. Bartholomew's Church in Ballsbridge. It was an absolute honour to collaborate with my cousin Michael Mc Glynn. It has always been on my bucket list to work with him on my own album and tonight we finally made it happen. His arrangements make me understand why I sing. I can't wait to share more with you all. But for now here is a snippet. Thank you to all of the amazing singers who sang tonight. And thank you so much to Ciaran Byrne, Cauldron Studios for his ever calming and inspiring presence and skill. This team tonight was in a million.
Also thank you Glenn Murphy - Tenor for capturing so much on camera. Who could ask for a better pal xxx

Just like the waves crashing against the sea. These men from @anuna_choir and Michael Mc Glynn's arrangements of the Sean nós songs for my album, made me weep last night. Just so magical that 7 men can make those beautiful sounds. What a pleasure. Thanks cuz, what an evening xxx thanks @glennjmurphy for the video xx

It includes a video of Eabha singing and accompanied by a choir.

The choir does sound nice, but to me, what's truly magical is her vioce.

I can't wait until she announces the release date! :)

I'm ready to buy this when it's released.  :D

Ugh... the waiting is killing me!

Yeah, it's going to be really tough to wait that long.

With all the CW / solo albums that have released over the past year and a half though, I think the market might be a bit saturated. I'd love for her to release her album when there aren't so many albums competing for people's limited funds.

I also don't want her to rush it. I want her to love the process and make an album that she can feel really proud of.

I'll wait for it anxiously, but for as long as it takes.

I agree with you. Waiting just sucks lol. And my family gave me a BUNCH of iTunes gift cards for Christmas because I thought the girls' albums would be out sometime this year. Oh well.

BTW did the program say the same about the other girls' albums? Mairead and Tara?

It might have mentioned Mairead was recording one but I don't recall a time frame. I'll check when I get home.

No, I didn't see any mention of a time frame for Mairead Carlin or Tara's albums.

It's been a while since I've heard any updates on Eabha's album. She did have an interesting and potentially related note in her Instagram story on Wednesday. It mentioned she paid a visit to the recording studio to meet up with Vyvienne Long, who is a cellist from Dubin. It wasn't specified whether Eabha was recording music for her own album or for a different album. We got to hear Vyvienne play, briefly, and it sounded pretty good. We didn't get to hear Eabha sing in this particular clip (she was listening, not at a mic).

In Eabha's Instagram story today, she had recordings of her singing two new songs in the background.  :o

Eabha showed and mentioned in her Instagram story she was back at the studio today.
