Title: Candy Canadiana Fan Page
Post by: CWazyTom on November 12, 2016, 04:33PM
I got bored for a couple of minutes so I created a Candy Canadiana Fan Page:

https://www.facebook.com/Candy-Canadiana-Fans-1140662336018436/
https://twitter.com/candycanfans

I haven't had a chance to set much up yet, but feel free to join and hopefully I'll get a chance to expand it.

It'll be an "extremely Canadian" fan page (mostly Amy Rivard stuff, probably some Canadian sports stuff and humour).

I'll try to keep it entertaining and non-political (unless it's light-hearted political stuff).

Not sure how much time I'll end up committing to this, but if you have any suggestions / feedback, feel free to let me know.

So how am I doing so far?

I've got 2 goals:
- Spread knowledge of Canadian culture in the spirit of Candy Canadiana, and
- Support Candy's "friend" Amy  ;)

I've been trying to mix in some Canadian facts and fun stuff.

Don't forget to follow the Candy Canadiana Fan Page on Twitter and Facebook:

https://www.facebook.com/Candy-Canadiana-Fans-1140662336018436/
https://twitter.com/candycanfans

It's sort of a dual fan page for Amy and her alter ego Candy Canadiana, but I also do some fun or educational stuff about Canada when I have time.

If you follow and have any feedback about content etc, please let me know.  :D

Lol!

I spliced in a "portrait" of Candy Canadiana.

I guess that's what you call a picture-in-picture...in picture.

Everyone needs a little Candy!

Happy Birthday, Amy Rivard!

I found a collage of a bunch of awesome Canadian things, made it a bit more family friendly, and spliced in Candy Canadiana.  ;)

Haven't been doing as much as I wanted to, but Amy let me know she appreciates the effort. That's what matters most to me.

That  is  always  a  good  feeling  when  the  artist  in  question  acknowledges  us....  I  feel great when  Mairead  Healy  or  Margaret  Keys  show  that they  are  seeing  and  listening.  Just  yesterday, Margaret retweeted    my  pinned  Tweet  about  her  upcoming  album  which  was  a  pinned  Tweet  on  my fan  page  for  her.   :)

Happy Canada Day!

July 1, 2017 was Canada's 150th birthday.

I saw a parade l, heard a choir sing the national anthem, saw a HUGE flag, watched the national celebration on TV (it wasn't great except for a few parts), and got to hang out with family.

Ah, but I would have traded it all to see Candy Canadiana in the parade to hear Amy Rivard sing live. One day I'm going to meet her. But each day, the waiting gets harder.

Anyways, here's to the next 150 years (and that day when I finally get to meet Amy).
