Title: Help promoting a singer
Post by: CWazyTom on December 06, 2016, 12:09AM
I'm not really sure where to post this so I suppose General Discussion is as good a place as any.

I have a singer friend in LA I want to help. She's really good but there's so many aspiring singers out there it's hard to get noticed.

I've tried promoting her but honestly, I'm not well-connected enough to be of much help beyond just offering encouragement.

I know it's a bit of a long shot, but if anyone has any contacts or suggestions please let me know. It's really important to me.

If you have some people that might know people that you could ask, that would be great!

Heck if you want to endorse her that would be AMAZING!

But even if we just do some brainstorming on this thread too, I might get some ideas.

Thanks in advance.

Youtube has been good for some.

Sure has! Good idea Jim.

She does have videos on there. She gets hits but we'd obviously like to see more. We could try some things to make the videos more likely to appear in a search result I suppose. There's a LOT of noise on YouTube (many videos) so for her to get hits she basically has to sing something that people will be searching for and put something in the description that's going to be highly searchable. Tricky, but we can make it an important part of the overall strategy.
