But think of it this way: in the video below, the other singers have incredibly strong voices and they seem washed out (there weren't washed out live, but in this recording they are). Ximena still sings over top of all the noise.  :o

...I first heard (and every subsequent time) Hayley humming like a stringed instrument during her DVD. That was from the Aria that followed Beat of Your Heart.

    https://youtu.be/n3O1dxvZn78    Meav's  vocals  at  the  very  beginning  and  at  the  very  end  of  "Celtic Prayer"   are  among  the  highest  hit  by  any  Celtic  Cutie.  Meav's  vocals  near  the  end  of  Jesu Joy  are pretty  high  too. (and many other  examples  I  could  name)    I  am  not  saying  that  the  others  like  Chloe  or  MC  etc.   are  not  high  ranged,  but  that  Meav  .  I  believe,  remains  'Queen  Of  The  Stratosphere".    And  not  just  in  her  younger  days  either,  but  in  recent  indie and  CW  concerts  as  well,  and  in  her  The Calling CD.       :-*    She  makes  my jaw  drop  every  time.  :)   

I agree with everything you just said, James. Méav's high notes in "Celtic Prayer" and "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" always give me chills. "The Soft Goodbye," "Carol of the Bells," and "O Come All Ye Faithful," do as well. Her voice definitely does stand out!

They played The Lost Rose Fantasia (the called it the "Fantasia on the Last Rose of Summer" by "the Celtic Women," but it was in fact the Celtic Woman version by Mairead Nesbitt).

That is the first time I have ever heard a full version of a Celtic Woman song played on the radio.  :o

... I looked up the schedule for one of the PBS stations I'm keeping an eye on and saw they're airing the Homecoming special at 2:00 AM on a Monday.  ::)  Uh... what??? I wasn't sure whether to laugh, cry, or just sit staring at my computer monitor with a confused look on my face. So instead, I just let my jaw hit the floor. Who in the world is in charge of program scheduling there?

when I had 5.....count `em FIVE racoons on my deck last night ......all eating unsalted peanuts...YUMMY!....squirrels by day, racoons at night......who needs dogs and cats?

Well, a dog could chase away the 'coons. ;)

not Polly , the bassett hound from next door...she`d sniff them....she sniffs EVERYTHING. The racoons are soooo pretty.....they LOVE unsalted peanuts ...but NOT walnuts.

Unsalted ???!!!  Really  ???    Silly health nutty coons.  lol   :D

I buy unsalted peanuts for the squirrels since they WON`T eat salted peanuts....wouldn`t want squirrels with high blood pressure  ::) and the racoons love the unsalted peanuts.

My young relative told me he shot his first turkey today.  He said it scared the crud out of everyone in the frozen food section. ;)

 When pro golfer Phil Mickelson announced he would play his first tourney on the (seniors)  Champions tour this week !    :o   ;D
