Title: Tara's progress
Post by: glenn on December 10, 2017, 01:29PM
Tara has made great progress in the last two years but I feel so sorry for her, she's following a phenom and a living legend, Mairead Nesbitt, and in her field, like it or not, you are judged, more than anything, against what came before.  She might as well be trying to follow Mozart.  I'm sure that more than anything she longs for the day when she no longer will be compared to Mairead.  Hopefully, for her, that day will come along soon enough.

She can take comfort in the fact that I don't compare her to Mairead.

Tara plays with a lot of emotion. I can feel every note she plays and I can see the passion in her face when she performs. She is adorable and incredibly sweet.

Celtic Woman has undergone many changes over the years. From the very beginning and through all the changes, a strength of the group has been how different the girls have been individually and together.

Mairead played with a ton of energy. Tara evokes profound joy. I love all the girls that have been in Celtic Woman, but aside from Chloƫ, I don't think there's anyone that has made me feel as happy as Tara.

Tara was already a gifted violinist when she joined the group. But one of the things that's really impressed me is how much more she's grown as a performer since then. She has gotten really good at moving about the stage and expressing herself with her body language as well as her strings. That sort of style was a bit outside her comfort zone, I'm sure, but she has evolved beautifully in her role with this group.

For me, she doesn't have to be like Mairead. She doesn't have to be anyone but herself. She's amazing just the way she is and I am very grateful she's a part of Celtic Woman. <3

After seeing her live for the first time on the Home for Christmas tour last year, I Tweeted her that they couldn't have picked a better person in the world to join Celtic Woman. I meant it then and I still do. There are many fiddlers with unique and wonderful talents of their own, but there's no one else like Tara. <3 <3 <3

I was going to write a comment of my own but after reading yours, why mess with perfection?

Tara is AMAZING! I love both her and Mairead, and they are equally talented! I would honestly love to see them do a dueling violin song together!
