Title: My first attempt . . .
Post by: Jeanine on November 02, 2007, 03:05PM
Hi, everyone, this is my first attempt at making something (i.e. banner/photo edit).  It didn't turn out exactly as I had planned it, but I hope you still enjoy it.   :-\

Thanks for the kind comments.  As far as what I used, I used a combination of Adobe PhotoDeluxe and Presto Pagemanager.  Adobe doesn't allow me to save the files as .jpg, .png, etc. (or else I just haven't figured out how), but I find the tools a little easier to navigate than those on Pagemanager, at least at first, so I usually end up starting the design there, then copying it over to Pagemanager and finetuning it in that program before I save it to the necessary file names and uploading the design onto my photobucket account.  I have a lot of learning and figuring out to do still.  I have some other ideas in the making though. ;)

I know I can't do that with Photoshop 2.0

Well, I've recently made a Mairead and a Chloe banner (the latter is in my signature) as well as my current avatar.  I find avatars easiest to make. ;)  Anyway, here is my Mairead banner, and the Chloe banner you can see below in the signature.  Enjoy! :)

I decided not to adjust the lettering size before posting, though I'll probably do so at a later time.  Since it's difficult to read what the text in the upper lefthand corner is I'll tell you what the full text is.  It's "Floating Through Her Music" and then her name is in the upper righthand corner.  :)
