I got to see the girls again Sunday night. As amazing as they are, I had a hard time taking my eyes off Helen Kelly from the chorus. Is she related to Lisa?

Yep.  She Lisa's youngest sister.  Lisa's the oldest of three; Joanne's in the middle.

Roisin and Amy both have solo CDs...and I would LOVE to see Helen put out a solo CD.  I'd buy it in a heartbeat!!!  Are you listening Helen?  ;) :D

I noticed it at first over in Dublin and thought perhaps it was about a continuity of look. It might not quite fit if one of the choir members was sporting a fro.

As for the hair: Not a huge fan of the bangs on Lisa but, honestly, she could have a pink mohawk and I'd still be crazy about her.

I think they were still born together.

I wonder if Helen will be returning to CW for the taping along with Lisa?  I sure hope so.  Her presence in the choir has been missed.  Hopefully she'll be back touring with them when Lisa is.  We shall see.  ::)

Oh, I'm so glad Helen is returning. She is my Fave-O-rit Chior memeber

When I send someone the DVD's I always point out to be sure and watch for Helen.  They always come back with " She's beautiful and they look like sisters!!"   So, I too welcome back the Kelly sisters and hope to see them in Chicago with the biggest showing of forum members ever!!   And yes, the chorus is such a huge part of the show and we would be so lost without them!!  I wish they would include them in the M&G's.  At least a couple of them at each one.  We love ALL the CW show members and would be ever so happy to meet each and every one of the entire ensemble.  PBS-- think about that, will ya??

Hmmmmmm....suspicious. I'll probably get absolutely blasted for saying this, but maybe she's merely "testing the waters" so to speak on the European tour and hasn't made a decision for any future tours.

At any rate, it's cool that Helen will be there. I didn't get to see her in the choir last time so I'll be looking forward to that!

I'm very excited that I get to see not one but TWO Kelly girls performing this time around...my first time for both of them. ;D

They're going with only six members in the choir this tour, so Helen, Una and Catherine Neylan will be the only ladies.

Chris-- you can bet the farm that Helen can sing like a bird!!!   The chorus is such a vital part of the show and any one of them can, and a lot have, started a career of their own. So rest assured, being someones sister is not the way Helen got her job.  We are trying to get her to do a solo CD because of her ability-- not because of who she is.   It sure doesn't hurt to have family in the business, though!!!  :D  ;)  :D  ;)

I was kinda making a joke. But yeah, I get what you're saying. She does sing very beautifully, and it would be cool if she got her own CD.

Just a note--- At the Indianapolis show last night during the bows before the final song, Helen was on one of the risers and I was able to say ( loud enough for her to hear)  " Helen--( she looked right at me)  -- Make a CD!!!! "   She smiled that Kelly girl smile and big sister raised her eyebrows and smiled at me with a nod that seemed to say "I'm for that too."   So, smiles from both of the Kelly girls at the same time-- It just doesn't get any better than that!!!!!!

IDK if we're technically supposed to ask or not but I've been super curious about who's older.  Lisa or Helen?  For the record: I'm not actually asking ages which could be considered personal info.   But I've been wanting to know for a while now which is the older sister.  My guess would be Lise but I may be wrong.

 Helen is a very beautiful lady, and very talented. I love her 'Fields of Gold' she has on her myspace page. My wife and I saw her in Memphis when we attended the concert there. We arrived two hours early and took a walk on Beal street, we walked down to the Mississippi River which is behind the theater to have a look around (3 blocks from the theater) when we returned we had to walk past the coaches which were parked on Beal street and I saw 3 pretty girls walking toward us. I recognized the one in the middle as being Helen, they glanced at us as they passed by (we were wearing Isle of Hope T'shirts) and then they went into a door that was on that side of the Orpheum Theater.  I did not try to speak to her out of respect and not knowing proper etiquette in that situation, we passed within 4 feet of her on the street (and the other 2 choir ladies) she was in regular street clothes.  I was very happy to have seen her that close.  As a bonus, 10 seconds later we passed Lynn walking toward the door also in regular clothes, I had to look twice to make sure but yes it was her.  We did not see anyone else but we were very happy to have seen members walking down the street.

Yes. Helen does have a myspace... She accepted my friend request.  I sent her a message like a week and a half ago but she hasnt replied to it yet, i hope that she does though.

I love Helen!  Well, I love both Kelly sisters.  I wish Helen would make a CD though.  "Fields of Gold" on her MySpace is breath-taking and none of the other versions available on iTunes is as beautiful as her version.  (I say that confidently because there is only 1 other version that ties with Helen's version and it's not available on iTunes...yet.  And I won't say who the other version is for respect of spoilers).

2002 novel written by Alice Sebold...
A story of a teenage girl who was murdered, watches from heaven as her family & friends go on with their lives, while she herself comes to terms with her own death.
The novel got great deal of critical praise & became an instant best seller.
A film adaptation of the novel is currently in production, being directed by Peter Jackson, who purchased the rights.

      She was absolutely gorgeous this tour!  What a heartbreaker! I was fortunate enough to see her from the front row at five shows thus far this year.  It was so incredibly good to have her back this year!! Here's to hoping she is always with the show!  She has a very bright future of her own in this business!  ;D ;D ;D

I saw the one pic someone had of all 3 sisters together, and read this thread, and started to think (uh-oh you KNOW thats trouble!)

Does Joanne sing at all, or do anything in performing arts? Someday, could we see the 3 of them on stage together?

All 3 of them sang together when they were younger but I don't know if Joanne still sings or not.

Yeah, same here, and when I saw the very first show, I thought "there are 2 girls that look so much like eachother...I bet that they are sisters...and then i looked at the dvd credits and sure enough...they are sisters!

I got the opportunity to ask Lisa about Helen at the Meet & Greet in Evansville Saturday night.  Lisa told me Helen is back in school and consequently has no plans to rejoin the tour.  That includes the Spring tour as well!  :'( :'( :'(

Wait....Helen isnt with CW anymore?!?!?!!  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(...ok im really confused.  In the Powerscourt spoiler Powerscourt photshoot section of the forum, there are 2 pics of them performing, and there is a girl in the choir that looks exactly like Helen...is everyone sure that she left??? look at the 2 photos and you will see what i mean.

Well maybe she'll come back.  Its hard to turn away from something like CW because it becomes part of who you are.

I'm very sad that I won't be seeing Helen again on the Fall IOH Tour or the Spring Songs from the Heart tour.  But, I'm happy she's decided to pursue her education.  BTW, I assume she's studying music (or some related field), but that could be a very wrong assumption.  So, has there been any word on what Helen's studying?

I'm going to miss you very, very much but I'm extremely proud of you for returning back to school and doing what you felt was best.  It takes a lot to do what you have done.  You're a very wonderful girl and I'm glad we've gotten to experience just how incredible you are.  I wish you all the best in school and I hope you realize how much we love you.  By the way, it would be INCREDIBLE to hear more music.  We'd love a Helen CD if the day ever comes that you could do that.
