I actually had a buddy I worked with who did that by accident. He fell asleep in the bin and wound up helping unload the bags in Phoenix when he got there. Needless to say the rampers there were a bit surprised!

No, Chloë does not have a published email address.  If you write to her attention to info@celticwoman.com, I guarantee John will see to it that she receives it.

Wow, you can really send gifts to them at that address and they will get them? Oooh!

I make fabric makeup bags and it would be awesome if I had the time to do it for each of the girls (maybe in colors to match their gorgeous dresses!) this year...maybe for Christmas or something. Has anyone had any experience sending them gifts this way? I'd love to hear any advice or pointers, they would be much appreciated...I don't think I'll  be able to get to another show this year so I think snail mail across the pond might be the only way to get them to those beautiful ladies we all love so much!  :)

They do actually receive everything we send them!  Cool, huh?  They have thanked us at M&Gs for items we've sent!  That's just one more thing that I love about these ladies - they are so gracious.  I dont see how they remember us, much less recall a gift or card that we've mailed!!  That tells me that they care about us almost as much as we care for them.

Mailing is a little tricky.  You have to complete customs paperwork, so it's best to ask for a little help at the post office if you've not done this before.  Good luck.

Just a word of caution.  Don't send flowers or perishables to that address.  I know, it sounds silly, but people have done it when the girls were on tour.  Candy and flowers don't hold up too well when they sit for two months.   :D

They do indeed get what you send there. It is amazing that they remember who sent what but they do. All the artists I've met at meet & greets as well as Rachel and Joanne have said they received things I'd sent and that of many others. I can well imagine though, when you're the number one chart group in the world, that they must have someone who just sorts things and distributes them. Best not to bury them in stuff though.

Rotten Rebel here. If you send gifts to the CW address in beautiful Dublin, I guarentee the lady or ladies you send in care of, WILL get what you send.
I know this for a fact because I sent Mairead a portrait, framed and matted in a large box that cost me about $40.00 to ship, and I got an autograghed photo thanking me for sending the portrait. And when I went to see CW at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles May 17th, I got the chance to ask Mairead in person if she actually got what I sent. I showed her a photo of it in a portfolio I keep woth me. She extaticly said "Yes! I Do have this! You sent that portait?" I got a big hug! So I am here to tell all of you. For sure. They get the gifts you send, and the ladies cannot believe the amount of love and devotion of their fans. They eat it up! So, go for it!                               R.R.

Yes...go to your local post office.  Postals rates overseas can be quite variable.  Plus, you can choose "how fast" you want the mail to go.  Of course, the faster it goes, the more expensive.

A 1 ounce letter from the US to any country except Canada or Mexico is 98¢.

That is about right. I mailed Mairead a letter a few weeks ago and that is what I paid.

Quick question. I noticed a difference in the address. The one on the CW site doesn't have the 31/32 in the address like the one posted in this thread. Is there a difference as to which one gets used?

It'll work either way.  The 31/32 is more specific.

It's very rare that all the girls are in the office at the same time, so I'm not too sure they'd all see something addressed to all of them.  CW gets a ton of mail, so it's a little unfair to expect someone there to keep track of which girl has seen something and which one hasn't.

I am assuming that a lot of the fan mail that they get DOES go unread, right?  I just sent 3 letters out...one to Lynn, one to Mairead, and one to Lisa, and I am guessing that they will most likely go unread, right?  I just want to know because It would be neat to know if they will actually read the mail that i sent them...

I'm not sure why you would make that assumption.  Granted, it's not certain that you'll receive a personal response.  They get an awful lot of mail, and they don't have a lot of free time.  But the girls are very good about reading their mail.  One young girl sent a letter to Máiréad, and received a personal letter in return - 7 months later!

My guess would be yes she will get it. From what I understand John Flanagan deals with the all the fan mail so its only natural that the mail will go out to who ever its addressed to.

Since Helen is no longer in the chorus, it could be difficult to get it to her in a timely manner. Lisa might be able to pass it along to her so it's worth a shot in my opinion. She may still even come by for a visit every so often. I'm sure she still has mail there waiting for her considering how well loved she is and all  :)

I sent a letter to Lisa a while back and I never received anything from John Flanagan confirming receipt. Does this mean it never arrived there ? It hasn't been returned to me as undeliverable.

If your concern is whether or not your mail arrives, I suggest paying a little more to put tracking on it.  For items going overseas, I've done Express Mail, which got it there quickly and comes with tracking info so I know when it arrives in Ireland (I don't know when it arrives specifically at the office, but hey, good to know it crossed the sea fine).

I've been seeing a lot of posts lately about people not wanting to send letters right now since the girls are on tour - so does that mean that they don't get our fan mail while they're touring?  Would it be best if I waited until the tour is over to send a letter?

i sent mine while they were on tour and got my response, they noted that because lisa was on tour the photo sent wasn't signed haha i was omg really? and i knew they were on tour anyway but it was awesome all the same :D

Butler's is made in Ireland, so it was a local delivery.

We met Chloe in lobbly in Nashville(2007) and had no camera, but had a book we had made of many of the groups songs.  In introducing my self I ask Chloe if she knew this song.  She smiled and my wife and I had a nice meeting with her. (she sined this page in our book) Later my wife sent a nice letter to Chloe's fan mail address saying how wonderful and kind she had beent to us.  It was several months later but in the mail from Irland we received a response and a 8 by 10 signed photo of Chloe.  WoW!!

Wow I think its great that they care, and do get back to you. I sent a letter to Lynn nearly 2 months ago and John F from the website emailed me 2 weeks later and said he received it and was forwarding it on to Lynn in the US, which made my day. Glad to know they get our letters etc while away from their families  :)  I also just recently sent over a cute and cuddly stuffed Koala toy and book on an Aussie city that they cover on their first tour here, so Lynn knows a bit about the place. Even if i don't get any response back, just knowing that fan letters DO reach the girls is wonderful. It's a nice, little thing we can do to say THANKS for all they do for us. AMEN   ;D

As far as I know, they are all back in Ireland. I at least know for certain that Alex is back safely. They have about a month at home.

I don't think I'd expect CW Ltd to forward mail for all past members of the chorus. Several of them have been gone for quite some time. Many of them can be contacted directly through their Facebook pages. But I'll check and let you know.

It'll get there in a week or less. Mail received after the tour starts will be held at the office until they return to Ireland.

Okay, I checked and verified the information. When a performer - soloist, musician or choir member - leaves CW, they don't keep in contact with the people in the office. There's no reason for them to "check in" with their previous employer. So it's extremely impractical for CW Ltd to try and forward mail to ex-members.  Most of them have personal web sites with contact information, and/or accounts on various social networking sites.

Like Rich said earlier, former members dont really have a reason to visit the office, so the answer to my question is probably a 'no'.

Don't give up hope. Lynn records on the Celtic Collections label, and they share the building with CW Ltd. There's a very good chance John will see her and give it to her.

The girls, in general, don't get their fan mail until after the tour ends. Lisa would be an exception, I'd imagine, because she's married to the CEO and he's been back and forth a few times already this tour.

At a guess it really has to do with when the girls themselves check in to the office and get the mail. As I'm sure Chloë was busy packing, rehearsing, and doing the million little things that must be done before one leaves town for an extended period of time, not to mention the time it takes a snail mail letter to get from the US to overseas, she probably didn't see it before they left. She will get it eventually though, the Dublin office is very reliable about such things.

Yep, that is the general CW email. Just make sure you put a note up top telling which performer the note is for and they'll make sure it gets where it is going.

They're not going on tour until mid September so she should get it.  Even the slowest USPS option gets to Europe in a week or two, especially places like Ireland.  Eastern Europe takes forever.  The only thing that might hold it up is how often she checks her mail.  There are numerous options with USPS which are not overly expensive or if you really want it there quickly, FedEx or UPS, but be prepared to pay $$$ for it.

Well... there is a 50 % chance she will and a 50 % chance she won't. she's a very busy lady.

There's no guarantee that she'll respond but a lot of people who have had the chance to meet and talk to her says she's very open and responsive with her fans.   You'll never know unless you try. :)

I would think she will respond, but it might not be quick.  All would depend on how often she checks her mail.

Believe,    I have sent letters to Lisa Kelly and Chloe a few years ago, and in the end, asked for an autograph. They both sent an autographed picture back. Lisa sent one back within 2 weeks, but because her husband was the ceo, she got it faster. Chloe`s came back about 6 months later. You never know. I would try :)

I'm assuming that the Irish postal service works like the USPS and that they will forward it on to the new address. No one, to the best of my knowledge, got any returned mail from the last move so it should be ok.

I sent it to the Lower Leeson address. I didn't know about this change. Will they still receive it?
