What I do like about the site most of all are the pictures that are there. :) Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: Kimberly AJ on April 07, 2008, 01:59PM So, in the other topic, you discussed about Hubpages?
Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: Texas Celtic Girl on April 07, 2008, 03:41PM Welcome Irish Princess! I don't know if that name is Chloe's real full name, but it is very pretty. Your English is actually rather good,by the way. It's much better than my German! :)
Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: MeganDelia on April 07, 2008, 04:32PM Hi Irish Princess!!! When I read that it was Moira Aslinn.
Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: jumpstart6 on April 07, 2008, 06:58PM We're not sure if that is Chloe's full name, it has also been listed as Chloë Alexandra Adele Emily Agnew on other sites including her imdb profile. Both names are stunning though.
Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: meganelize on April 07, 2008, 07:05PM I wonder why american's don't have any more names? Not that you need thewm, but they do sound pretty. I have come to think that the most common middle names for girls are
Rose, Leigh, MArie, Elizabeth, Anne, May, and perhaps Katheryn. Kind of boring. Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: Conchobar on April 07, 2008, 07:18PM I may be completely off, but some of us do have several names. I think it is a Catholic thing. I was given the name of Robert Richard Webb. Then at my confirmation I took my other name. You normally take a saints name. I chose Columbanus. Thus I am Robert, Richard,Columbanus Webb.
Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: Coleen on April 07, 2008, 10:11PM Hi, Irish Princess. Welcome to the forum! Thank you for the information regarding Chloe's name. I think it's beautiful, too.
Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: Cash on April 08, 2008, 11:36AM I wish to be careful, because I dont wish to drift off topic of thread hi-jack. But this is related.
In my opinion, additional middle names , like we see here with Chloe, are great for a couple reasons. First, there are more people alive today than ever before, and with larger populations comes more people with identical names. And somehow we need to distinguish those individuals. Second, with technology now, the same names will get on lists and get lumped together like never before. For example, take a list for say a bank. Once such a list was just local, so John Smith who uses the branch of Bank X in Smalltown USA might never get confused with John Smith who uses a different branch of Bank X in tinytown USA. Today, on the computer systems, they could get confused. I dont know if we need to list out full middle names though, as initials might be enough. For example, if John Smith were to be John Mark Paul Smith, or just John MP Smith, that might be enough. It does seem that some people may go a wee bit extreme with the additional names at times. My Uncle's name is John Smith. No joke. It has to be the most boring name in the universe, lol. I only have one middle name but I wouldn't be opposed to having two. Once you get past that though, then it just gets longwinded in my opinion. Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: meganelize on April 08, 2008, 12:49PM Cash- very good thought. i had not thought about that...very wise.
Emily... your uncle does have an old fashioned name...is that the guy's name in pochahontas (spelling)? I think when I'm older i'm going to give my kids uniqyue names, but not like bamjo or moon unit. Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: Texas Celtic Girl on April 08, 2008, 01:15PM I have 2 middle names, though not for religious purposes. My full name is Blanca Inez Suzanne. My mother gave me those names to honor some special people in her life. Blanca was my mom's best friend,Inez is Spanish for Agnes, her mother's name, and Suzanne is my aunt, her sister. She also wanted to give me 2 other names to choose from if I didn't like Blanca. However, people call me Bobbi :D
Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: Texas Celtic Girl on April 08, 2008, 03:34PM I like your name,Kim :)
Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: Kimberly AJ on April 08, 2008, 03:35PM Thanks, Texas pal.
Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: Naraku_Diabolos on April 08, 2008, 09:23PM I wonder why two sources had different full names for Chloë, though. Maybe Chloë would come on here some time and say what her name is, perhaps? I have a boring name. It's Adam James Meyer. I gave my rabbit her name, which is Luna Autumn Meyer (her face's marks are like the moon's crescent in one of its phases) and gave her middle name Autumn due to her calico coloration. My dog's name is Oscar Schnitzel Meyer (our dachshund).
But back to the topic at hand with Chloë's 'mentioned' name from the first post, I think it sounds very beautiful. Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: TheChloeFan on April 09, 2008, 02:03PM Oh for girls middle names i forgot rae. so chloe is catholic?Conchobar you are right.... It is a catholic thing and not all catholics do. But most americans with another name are catholic. My family is split and half of my family has an extra name and the other half doesn't. I am methodist. My dad is catholic and has 3 middle names. At my dad's religious thing...idk what is is, i was optioned for the other name margaret, but Maegan comes from margaret and that would be strange. Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: MeganDelia on April 09, 2008, 04:32PM I think both of Chloe's possible middle names are very pretty. My full name is Megan Delia Sherman. I don't like my middle name because its hard to pronounce its Dil-ya. Its supposed to be French.
Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: Naraku_Diabolos on April 09, 2008, 05:52PM I think both of Chloe's possible middle names are very pretty. My full name is Megan Delia Sherman. I don't like my middle name because its hard to pronounce its Dil-ya. Its supposed to be French. Delia isn't that hard to pronounce unless you hear it spoken first. The first time I heard the name was when I saw the second Pokemon movie where they mentioned the character's mom name as Delia. Oh, and my one new friend I met is named Delia too :) Oh, so Chloë is Catholic? :D That makes two of us (me being Catholic too and having a huge crush on her). Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: Texas Celtic Girl on April 11, 2008, 09:15PM Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: Lisa_Kelly_fan_forever on April 13, 2008, 03:17PM I have stumbled across her full name myself, and it is the same one you found, but I later discovered that the source was not that reliable. I am not saying that this information is incorrect, I'm just saying don't take it as undeniable truth.
Regardless, of all the names I have heard that may possibly be Chloë's, I haven't found a one that wasn't beautiful. :) I do believe that all of the original members are Catholic. Can't be sure about some of the others, but I'd guess almost all of the girls, if not all, are Catholic. Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: CurlyandGreen on April 14, 2008, 04:31PM Try having initials that spell SAD. Seriously. Sarah Ashley. ;D
Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: MeganDelia on April 14, 2008, 04:52PM I don't know if mairead or orla are catholic. Lisa and chloe and meav all had 3 middle names- 2 given one given through religion. Orla and mairead only have 2 middle names which is the standard format. I haven't heard Lisa's full name.Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: CurlyandGreen on April 14, 2008, 06:46PM According to IMBD:
Lisa Olivia Mary Sinéad Kelly Méav Natalie Aoife Siobhan Ní Mhaolchatha Órlagh Mary Louise Fallon Máiréad Anna Kathleen Nesbitt Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: Kelli on April 15, 2008, 02:11PM Once again, a bit of caution...IMBD has Meav's name wrong according to Marie-France from her forum. It was not posted there what her actual full name is due to privacy and safety concerns. I think all of these names are beautiful, but to actually put trust in what you read on the internet in this case is, I believe, misguided.
Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: Kimberly AJ on April 15, 2008, 05:25PM Full names might be very strange when you have a family that gives you one as you were a baby.

I heard Lisa's and Orlagh's mentioned a few time beofre! (Sinead meaning jane!) and Mairead's is most likely right Because her moms name is kathleen from what I've seen! They are all very pretty names though! And Chloe's I think the Alexandra Adele Emily is probably correct because Adele is her moms name also! So I can only guess that would be legit! Very pretty though and love all of their names! I don't know Lnn's or Alex's though? And I've heard deidre's beofre but I don't remember too long! Title: Re: Chloë´s Full Name Post by: Maggie on December 17, 2009, 06:46PM In Catholic Families, it is traditional to have a Saint's name in there somewhere, plus a parent's or grandparent's name.
Names from Irish History and Mythology are also popular. Also when a child is confirmed around 10 years of age, they add on a Saint's name. When Mammy was arranging my Brother's Baptism, she told the Priest the baby was to be called James Peter. Both are Saint's names and also names of Mammy's brothers. The Priest said the Day of the Baptism was the Feast day of Saint Lawrence, so that was added too. My name is (in English) Margaret Mary Veronica Ryan. My Patron is Saint Margaret Mary. I chose Veronica for my confirmation name because she had the courage to push past the Roman Guards and wipe the face of Jesus as he carried his cross to Calvary. Megan / Meaghan / Meagan (all spelling variations) is the Welsh version of Margaret. Máiréad is the Irish version.
