I think both Meav and Lynn pointed out in past interviews that the English lyrics make no sense. Clearly, it takes someone who speaks both Gaelic and English to know that. But, boy were they right!

I really hope so because I have heard her sing it on YouTube but the sound quality stinks and I can hardly hear her.

I love it in Irish as sung by Meav...I absolutely fell in love with her voice when she sang. "Dulaman" and I love that handsome man who winks at her during the song !!! It is truly a unique song to be enjoyed anytime an Irish person wants to sing it for us...
