First, there are too many threads on the IMA. Wouldn't it be easier to follow if they were joined togther? Less than 70 people have voted in the IMA so far. Come on everyone. It is easier to keep a lead than wait and try to overcome near the end. Let’s not let that happen. Remember the struggle we had earlier this year with Mairead and the World Ms Twitterer? If you have not registered yet, you can still register and vote. Let’s keep a lead on the competition. http://irishmusicassociation.com/phpBB3/index.php

I just spoke with Bob Reeder, the director of the IMA. This is how the voting goes between free members and those in membership. It is a ratio between the two. He said it could be 3:1 or even 5:3, but usually 3:1. So a member’s one vote counts as 3 to the free members one vote. Now this is what is important. He said they make charts and have discussions on how the free member voting turned out. Members look at that and take how the free members voted into consideration. He said it is very important for free members to vote because the more votes, the better it is. He did say that the last few weeks they have had a big increase in people joining the forum. I wonder why? Great work everyone. He said it all came for support toward the Celtic Woman. Do you want to make a stronger vote? You can join now and still vote as a member in January. You will also get a t-shirt or mug when you join. I decided to join under patron for now. These are the levels: Patron $25.00 Musician $50.00 Associate $100.00 Partner $500.00 http://www.irishmusicassociation.com/Click on join Voting for free members ends January 8th @ 12:00am central time

I received word from IMA today, that public voting is what is occuring now. Member voting will take place 1/1 - 1/8. Members can vote now as part of the public as well. Bruce

A few people on the IMA forum made an attack toward Mairead and I gave a respectful comment to their post. Though I really felt like saying something totally different. But I kept my cool and just reinforced my support for Mairead without attacking who they liked. Paladin also gave a great and respectful reply to their comment. They put more effort into putting down Mairead than they did on saying what is good about their choice. Guess they could not do that. It is impossible to talk up some to be better when in reality they are not. Even non Mairead fans know that. Words cannot make someone better than they are.
Lets stand up for Mairead. But please make any replies in support for Mairead, do not attack back. It is not hard to show that Mairead is the best. We do not need to lower ourselves and attack other artists to do that.
