Heatwave in progress here with temps inland (not far away) of over 100 today, Wed. and Thursday. Highs up to 110 F. expected tomorrow (Wed.), which would break some all-time records. Here on the coast, highs may get into the 80s, which is hot for us. www.kezi.com

Gross. It's the typical central SC August here. Heat index in the low hundreds to around 120 degrees is the norm. They are calling for a big storm to come in Monday, so watching the solar eclipse may be impossible.

We've got some clouds but that's it. It's the typical August weather. It's 92 degrees already and the high was only 90. It shouldn't rain though.

Most of our fog is gone -- still some over the river and the ocean but I can see the start of the eclipse as part of the sun is now covered.

Solar eclipses are cool ya'll! Clouds were going in and out during the partial. Clear viewing for the totality. I decided to come back inside after totality because it's too hot.

Positive thoughts and prayers go out to all affected in Texas. From me, too. Our skies are usually clear with winds off the ocean but today the wind is from the south and our sky is very smoky right now from a huge forest fire in SW Oregon.

All the weather forecasts are saying we're going to get hit by Irma next week. Fun times.

I just saw a tv report that Irma will likely hit Florida hard later this week. I hope everyone in the path of Irma heeds the evacuation warnings. Be safe!

Irma already caused near-total damage to the islands on its way to Floriday. Jose's right behind it. And Katia's building up to threaten Mexico. This just after Harvey emptied the Gulf of Mexico on Texas. Yikes!

It's not supposed to be too bad here. We're going to get the wind, some rain, and possibly tornadoes.
