This speaks to the genuine talent and skill that Órla has honed to perfection. Each of her recordings will reach out and grab each individaul in it's own special way.

Absolutely! Miss Fallon, with, or without her harp isn't able to ruin a performance... but very able to touch people  Cheesy

The voting seems to be fairly evenly divided, indicating no overwhelming favorite.  Undecided Smiley

We may be evenly divided on our favorite Orla song, but we are overwhelmingly in support of Orlagh and her musical ability!!

Zee

p.s. I am only slightly biased in my opinion! LOL
Well said!

These polls are never easy, but I went with Newgrange.

I know the feeling, celticartzyangel!  I feel a bit guilty choosing one great song over the others--like I have insulted the other songs by doing so!  Cheesy Grin

I've always leaned toward Carrickfergus. Because its just so darn beautiful! And she sings and plays the song sooooo well!

But I had to choose Harry's Game. It was the first Orla song I heard. And I think that it really truly defines that soft, haunting, mystical quality that I've come to identify with Orla.

Shuil A Run has always been my favorite of hers. Anything she does is great. I also don't know if I should have included Shooting Star after all. I guess it's too late now.

Innis Free is my wife's favorite but I love Orla not only for her single  Grin songs like (Harry's Game) I loved the way she she did in the group songs  Grin------ in her movements her smiles her love that came thru in the group songs. Orla the redhead fit so well in among the Celticwoman group. Her voice and her harp are missed in Celticwoman I loved the way she talked when she did her interviews, She is so alive and down to earth. She truely is a special Irish Girl. She should make Ireland proud. I do hope she is well recieved tonight in her performance in her home country. Love you dearly Ken & Din  Grin

How did I miss this?HuhHuhHuh Sad
I voted for Siuil A Run, not because it's a favorite, because it's the first Solo tune I heard her do live. I had never even heard of her before seeing CW in Chicago a few years ago, and well..that night changed me forever.
As many have said, I too love all her songs..a couple from Distant Shore are very special to me (one in particular)but that's another topic altogether.   Wink
Orlagh is simply a one of a kind, amazing person. (but we all know that already... Grin)
I hope her career lasts long into the future, and she continues to bless us and touch the hearts of all who hear her music.
