Before C.W. was live at the "Helix" had anyone heard of any of the girls?.... bought one of their cd's?..... seen any of them live?..... I fairly sure Meav, Chloe and Hayley had cd's out before joining C.W.

I have seen Mairead and Deirdre in a TV Show with the Celtic Tenors and other irish artists in Germany in April 2002 on TV and Deirdre with the Celtic Tenors live in concert.

Meav!
I had Meav and Silver Sea before CW existed. The only reason why I even watched the Helix show on tv was because when I was channel surfing I noticed Meav singing something.

I actually didn't knw about them until late 2008! OMG now I WISH I did know about the girls before Helix! I had seen Lisa perform twice live with Riverdance.

I've known about Lynn from Anuna (thank you, Wild Song! ). And I've listened to several songs from Anuna not knowing that the beautiful soloist was Meav. EDIT: I'd also like to make a note on how I've known about Hayley Westenra for a few years before Celtic Woman came into being. |

Anyway, I first noticed CW while channel surfing and coming upon the Helix show, and recognized Mairead as “that Irish girl fiddler” who I had previously been impressed with. I at first thought I was seeing one of the dance shows and left it on, but did not pay that much attention. I did get that it was a new show and group, which I filed away in my memory. The next time the Helix show was on (late night PBS fundraiser) I was much more attentive, and even woke my wife up, saying “Ya gotta get up and see this show!” She loved it and our fan relationship with CW kicked off.
