I was wanting to see and hear Lisa Kelly  Smiley  again, so I pulled the Songs From the Heart DVD down from the shelf, and I realized that I hadn't watched it in a very long time.  This show is full of excellent performances of so many great songs.  If you haven't watched it lately, do yourself a favor.  Several songs are included in the Emerald tour and have not lost any impact with the renditions of today's line-up; but it's a treat to see and hear LisaK, Alex, Chloe, and (for those of us who won't get to see her return) Lynn -- and OF COURSE MaireadN.
I knew I was lucky to get to see the SFtH tour several times  Grin , but I'm not sure I realized at the time how absolutely special that group of girls was.  Don't take that the wrong way -- I loooove the 2014 Celtic Woman and every other line-up they've ever had.  There seems to be a steady stream of talented Irish women who don't mind performing 300-or-so days a year  Shocked ; and lucky for us, David Downes (or whoever the talent scout is) knows where to find 'em.
BUT back to the thread  Tongue ...  "Fields of Gold", "Goodnight, My Angel" and "Galway Bay" are my favorite songs from this show.  Smiley

Favourite solo:

Galway Bay ... WOW Chloë, just ... my goodness it's so wonderful! I feel like I should be living in Galway I love this so much!

Favourite group songs:

Amazing Grace ... best version ever!

Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears ... absolutely beautiful! One of my favourite songs of all time! ... There's a lot of terrific songs on this album, but I think I love this one the most! I love the words, the tune, the orchestration, the choir backing and the incredible singing!

... It's one of the few songs that can actually make me cry spontaneously (The Parting Glass and Nella Fantasia being among the others).

If we're including the DVD:

Danny Boy ... Méav's was awesome but with all of them together ... I didn't think it was possible to produce a sound that lovely!

Also loved The Call, You Raise Me Up, and of course Mo Ghile Mear!
