Well, once again I have not been on here in a while. After seeing Mairead and Alex in Price, Utah, I went to Arches Nat'l. Park. Then I headed to the Grand Canyon, but a fire closed the North Rim, so I went to Mesa Verde NP in Colorado, then to Durango, down to Chama, NM, then to Alamosa, CO, and the Great Sand Dunes NP (750 feet high dunes), then to Rocky Mtn. NP, where I saw a real moose on the loose. I went to Kansas and Nebraska to visit cousins and search cemeteries for graves of ancestors. I found a bunch of them. I headed west after that to Wyoming and Grand Teton and Yellowstone NPs. I drove home through Montana and Idaho, spending a night at Craters of the Moon NM. I stopped at John Day Fossil Beds NM in eastern OR and got home on August 24th. (5704 miles in 54 days.)
The oddest thing that happened was in a I-84 rest area where I stayed one night and woke up the next morning to find my radiator drained and not a drop on the ground. Someone took my coolant overnight. Fortunately, there was a Wal-Mart about 1/2 mile away and I bought more coolant.
Oh, and if you get to Nebraska, find a Runza restaurant. The sandwiches are very good.
BTW, sunny and 60+F. here on the coast today.
