thanks, my only consolation right now is the knowledge that it wasn't cancer that took her. Her younger sister, my great aunt Maryanne, died only 2 yrs ago from Cancer (Maryanne's husband Al, also died of cancer).

Erin I send you my condolences and a big hug.
I know you will miss her, but your great aunt Altha lived a long and I'm sure full life, to last until your 90s is something to be celebrated.
Both my grandmothers and all my great-aunts died before I was born, so you were lucky to know her.
Thank you Lord for the long life of Altha, may her dear soul rest in peace.

It seems in the past month or so I have heard of a number of deaths that have surprised me. Two of my cousins lost their spouses to cancer. Someone I knew long ago when I was a kid died. He was only 37. My old bosses boss died, was only 44. I just heard a guy I knew on line in chat rooms died. He was 65.
August and Sept have always been very bad months family wise for deaths. My dad and one cousin were Aug deaths. I have an Aunt that was a Sept death. There are others I cant remember off the top of my head now.
But, sorry to hear about your loss. Hang in there. At least she had a long life, and I hope a healthy and happy one.
