Reaction on CWF when Isle of Hope CD comes out

« on: September 10, 2007, 10:36AM »

Hi everyone:  Please pray for one of my roommates.  She has been in excruciating pain in her lower back and legs for a couple of days now.  She has no family in town.  I rushed her to the hospital on Saturday night and stayed with her at the ER, and then spent yesterday afternoon after church with her.

She already has benign tumors on parts of her spine, and has had multiple surgeries.  She had an emergency MRI done yesterday, and fortunately there were no burst discs, etc., but they still need to figure out what's going on.   She's pretty scared right now, so I'll be going back today to hang out with her, and her best friend is coming home from a retreat today, which will be a huge comfort for her.

Thank you!

I'm sure your just being there has been a great comfort to her. I'll pray for a correct diagnosis and speedy recovery.

I have a great disdain for the ER. I've seen way too many of them in my life time. (which is why i don't watch the show *L*) your roommate will be in my thoughts, and I have already prayed for those who are ill and need healing tonight. I am sure even though my thoughts were universal that the good energy will go where it needs to.

Both my roommate Kerri and I thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers for her.  It turns out that she has deep internal bruising of the hip and pelvis as a result of a fall that happened three weeks ago.  She was in hospital until today, when they moved her to a rehab facility.  Fortunately, there were no fractures and no new tumors.

Her pain is being managed, but some of the meds are lowering her oxygen saturation levels, so they give her oxygen during the night.  The hospital was going to discharge her home last night because of the ineptness of one of the discharge nurses who didn't read a physical therapy report correctly.  He told her they were going to call her a cab if one of her friends didn't pick her up!!   Angry   Angry  Her best friend who was visiting last night was there, so she was able to stand up for her.

Then the hospital realized that they couldn't release her because the doctor hadn't given her one of her prescriptions.
However, this morning my roommate was working with a different discharge nurse who quickly rectified the situation and found her a good rehab facility.  When I visited her this morning, the Director of the entire acute care unit of the hospital was in Kerri's room listening to her formal complaint.

Needless to say, Kerri is very anxious, so please continue to pray for her.  It is so very much appreciated.   God Bless!!

I usually say, without our prayers, everything will be very awful.
