Both my roommate Kerri and I thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers for her. It turns out that she has deep internal bruising of the hip and pelvis as a result of a fall that happened three weeks ago. She was in hospital until today, when they moved her to a rehab facility. Fortunately, there were no fractures and no new tumors.
Her pain is being managed, but some of the meds are lowering her oxygen saturation levels, so they give her oxygen during the night. The hospital was going to discharge her home last night because of the ineptness of one of the discharge nurses who didn't read a physical therapy report correctly. He told her they were going to call her a cab if one of her friends didn't pick her up!!
Her best friend who was visiting last night was there, so she was able to stand up for her.
Then the hospital realized that they couldn't release her because the doctor hadn't given her one of her prescriptions.
However, this morning my roommate was working with a different discharge nurse who quickly rectified the situation and found her a good rehab facility. When I visited her this morning, the Director of the entire acute care unit of the hospital was in Kerri's room listening to her formal complaint.
Needless to say, Kerri is very anxious, so please continue to pray for her. It is so very much appreciated. God Bless!!
