Please keep us Texans, including those I know who are on the forum, me, Katie, Thistle , safe from Humberto. Please pray that Humberto doesn't cause too much damage. We have had rain every day of this summer and now daily too and it won't take too much to create lots of flooding. I'll try to keep you all updated. Thanks for your prayers.
Chava
I always would like us to pray for any other state that might be affected by Humberto

Hi Chava.
I swear when I heard about the approaching weather system along the Gulf Coast I though of you because I know you teach in that area of the state. I will keep you,Katie and all the Texan forum members in my thoughts and prayers.
Fondly, Susan

The storm missed Houston altogether but it was so scary how quickly it came up. When I watched the news Wednesday morning at 5:00 am, there was no mention of anything. I check my email at work and there was also no mention. I get home and it wasn't until another member of this forum immed me and asked if we were getting anything from the Tropical Storm heading our way that I first heard of Humberto! Yikes. By 2:00 AM is was an 85 mph wind force Hurricane. Pretty scary. Port Arthur and Beaumont got hit pretty hard.

Here's a Healing Prayer we can use:
Our dear Father and Lord Jesus, Please, heal the ones who have the heartaches, The ones who are wounded, The ones who have terrible cancer And the ones who have colds, or allergies, or flues Send a healing guardian angel to heal them all Because everything will be OK Amen

Good to hear, Chava! I'm not really in any danger of the hurricanes, so please don't worry about me! I generally just get a bit of rain, and that's only if it's a BIG storm! Your prayers would be much better directed towards our coastal members
