Wait a minute. Shocked I notice something on the second picture you've posted recently. It's a jazz guitar, right? If Lynn is a guitarist, does it really belong to her?

The Babylon Sisters' web site says that they have "a focus on a capella singing". But that is not what I heard when I listened to two of their three posted songs! I wonder if they really know the meaning of that term.

If you listened to their radio podcast, you'll see that they do sing acapella.  They also mentioned that they will do some instrumentals too every now and then.

Eeh, saying they’re going to focus on a certain type of music doesn’t mean they’ll exclude everything else. As Lynn and Rebecca were/are both in Anuna I’m betting they’re pretty familiar with what a capella means. Wink Besides, it’s just three demo songs on their site, nothing I would judge their entire career over.

Yes, I realize they can and do sing other things, too. I just thought it strange that a group that focuses on a cappella (the preferred spelling, BTW!) music would use two-out-of-three accompanied songs for their demos. After all, demos are designed to attract interested people to the music of the group, and anyone interested in a cappella music who came to the site expecting to hear a new group singing that type of music would be somewhat surprised, to say the least.

But all that said, whether a cappella or not, they do sing very nicely and harmonize well together. I hope my comments were not taken as a criticism of their singing, just of the way they represent themselves to the musical world.

Perfectly valid point. It’s a new group, figuring all that kind of stuff out takes time.

I know that these girls are singing near the pool table. Who's the one on the right holding the stick?
