Rosh Hashanah began at sunset last night, and continues until sunset tomorrow. We were remiss in failing to acknowledge this event. I'd like to atone by wishing all our Jewish friends Shana Tova Umetukah.

I agree Rich. My Catholic calendar doesn't list the Jewish holidays but I knew from my other calendars. Like rich said, Shana Tova Umetukah.

It may be Ramadan too. I wasn't sure if Leno was serious or just joking because he mentioned Rosh Hashanah and Ramadan as a joke, as in its ironic the 2 coincide and how members of either group better be careful as to which events they attend, as in, wouldnt want to end up mistakenly at the others.

Cash,
Both Jewish events and Muslim events follow a lunar calendar.  That means the time they occur each year changes.  This is one of the few times that both events occur together.  They can even be months apart.
