Both of yours are great.  This is a neat new thread, James.
Here are some just off the top of my head:

Alex: Goddess of Understanding
Chloe: Goddess of Coolness
Deirdre: Goddess of Sophistication
Hayley: Goddess of Enchantment
Lisa Kelly: Goddess of Goodness
Lisa Lambe: Goddess of Charm
Lynn: Goddess of Quietness (except when singing)
Mairead: Goddess of Energy
Meav: Goddess of Sensibility
Orlagh: Goddess of Mystery
Susan: Goddess of Loveliness

There is no Lambe like our Lil' Lambe.  Mairead Carlin is the real deal.

Interesting thread. I still have to think on this a bit more, but off the top of my head ...

I agree Mairead would be wind, fire, energy, something along those lines.

I agree Lil' Lambe would be Happiness and / or Love.

As for Orla, I am thinking of 2 possibilities. First, Tradition. Her solo music, esp. her DVD, is more traditional Irish style than the more jazzed up CW show with all the pomp, circumstance, lights, fancy dresses, etc. Plus the harp is a traditional kind of instrument. Also, for some reason, when I think of Orla, I think of a Healer. Not sure why.

Now with Lisa K, being a Mom is a very important part of her life. Is there a Goddess of Maternity? Or something along those lines.

Lynn is very much into protecting animals. Goddess of the Animal Kingdom?

What do you mean, "IF" they were goddesses?  The 8 I've met are! Smiley

And, now, back to my regularly scheduled ice cream.

To follow up..... I also  think that our Irish goddesses deserve tribute. But I like to think that whenever I play any CW music, whether it be a CD or DVD - it is tribute.  Also I do my best to spread the CW love either by buying people I love CW  music or simply telling the uninitiated about our Celtic Cuties. This is also paying them tribute. Also I think we pay them tribute by supporting and encouraging each other on this and other related forums. Just a few thoughts...... As for who should be "Queen of the Goddesses" ,  I think we would all have differing ideas on that subject and we would all be correct.   Smiley
