What I learned today

From my desperate cooking adventures this weekend:

-Instant soup mix is really salty, and one packet should be enough for at least 4-6 pots of soup (not one pot like the instructions say)
-French fries turn to mush after getting thrown into a pot of boiling water for 10 minutes, and then it's instant chowder.
-Instant 3-in-1 milk tea does NOT go well in oatmeal (Neither does coffee...if you want to wake up)
-Everything in the room smells like stew now. Thank goodness for window fans.

I learned that if I ever meet Lanti, I`ll invite her out to dinner rather than have her " home" cooking

There's a patch of heated sidewalk (above a waste water line) by the canteen. Today I learned that it's still heated in the summer. And it burns your feet.

Also, not getting to eat lunch because of crazy class schedule issues is turning me into a food zombie during orgo lab.

I learned that the forum is " doing weird" tonight...when I post, it comes up as " no data received"...that`s a new one

So coffee's still off the menu because I'll fall asleep. However, caffeine in the form of Mountain Dew does seem to help a little bit: After drinking the stuff, I can focus and clear out the other "noise" in my head. The only problem is that it also results in major headaches.

This is nice... either choose to focus but get a headache or choose to not get a headache but not be able to focus...

Apparently Everything bagels actually help me go through lab days...we're not allowed to eat or drink in the lab for obvious reasons, so I spend the entire time annoying my bench partner by talking about food. But since the garlic smell lasts over a week, it helps that there's at least the smell of food which gets me to concentrate on the lab...

Don't try to eat soup mix out of the box if your stove breaks. It's really salty.

When my phone beeps its battery light at me, that means it'll turn off in the next few seconds... even if I'm in the middle of a call...
