I didn't. I just got really upset and shut it down.
The guy claimed to be a former Border Patrol agent.  I say 1000% impossible.

Well, that was a jewel case from heck.

It took almost 30 minutes to get the CD out of there. Both the CD and jewel case have impressive tensile strength, I'll say that much.

Haha!!!

I wasn't keen on applying either of those methods to "The Best of Christmas" album  Cheesy

So I just kept on trying to coax it off the spindle. I find a lot of CD challenging to release from the spindle of a brand new jewel case, but this one was particularly vexing. The prongs (I'll call them teeth because of the way they were digging into my fingers) were really sturdy. They had almost no give at all and had a death grip on the CD. I wasn't able to release the CD by pressing down in the center of the spindle, trying to press the teeth inwards, or by lifting the CD evenly or unevenly from multiple points. I tried pushing the middle of the spindle down with a screwdriver. No luck. I tried pressing down hard on one side of the teeth and lifting the CD on just that same. Still wouldn't budge. Tried twisting the CD back and forth to loosen it up. Still uncooperative. After applying force to the CD to a degree I'm surprised it didn't snap. I separated that piece of plastic from the back of the jewel case and worked the plastic a bit. I left it closer to the heater for a few minutes to try to soften the plastic. Still no go. I was about to put the CD in the freezer in the hopes the temperature change would contract the plastic a bit without making it too brittle, but decided to give the twisting approach one more go. This time, I pinned the jewel case to a desk with one hand and just kept twisting the disc back and forth while lifting until it finally came off the spindle.

I think that's the most difficultly I've ever had extracting a CD from its jewel case.

I ripped the disc to MP3-320s before putting it back in the jewel case so I won't have to repeat that exercise for a while.

"This product is not available for international shipping."

So ... I can buy stuff in Canadian currency, but they don't ship to Canada? Yeah...

I'm paraphrasing: 'No disrespect to Celtic Woman, but this other group is better at everything!'   O...M...G!  When I saw this I almost lost my mind. There are ways to say another group is really good without trashing our Celtic Woman girls. This is NOT one of them!!!!!  Angry

I try to find a Celtic Woman CD and it's not available anywhere.

I've been trying to get that Icon Christmas CD since 2015. I check everyone once in a while and it's always either unavailable everyone or priced for resale at a ridiculous price (ie. $170). Sometimes it's mislabeled in seller listings (ie. the item name / image are for the Icon Christmas CD, but the tracks are for The Best of Christmas (2017), A Celtic Christmas, Home for Christmas, etc and when I ask the seller for a picture of the actual CD, it's not the Icon Christmas CD.

I've been checking Ebay, Amazon (in various countries), Kijiji, Walmart, PBS, Google, etc.

I can listen on Spotify of course (or just copy the songs from their albums of original origin to make a playlist), but it's one of the very few non-variant Celtic Woman albums missing from my collection of physical CDs and I'd like to have it.

This is one of the reasons I had doubts for a while that this was a legitimate CD (which of course, it is), because it was barely promoted, I couldn't even get it when it originally released and haven't been able to get it since.

Oh well, I'll keep looking. If anyone has suggestions of where else I can look or sees it anywhere for a non-ridiculous price, please let me know.

Thanks.

Haha. That's exactly what I thought. Not listed on the Icon series site. Couldn't find it available on the Celtic Woman site. Couldn't find any copies at Wal-Mart and every time I looked on Amazon, it was unavailable. But no, it does apparently exist.
