WHat do you mean by "old school"? When Disney was still alive? Anways, he wasn't when Aristocats was made. So... before the Disney renaissance? Umm... 101 Dalmatines... or Robin Hood... Or Aristicats...or Alice in Wonderland... Or SNOW WHITE!!!
yours?
BTW.... actually, Chiara...The Aristocats was the very last movie that WD himself endorsed before he passed away. It was Disney's 10th full feature film.

I'm never really happy with book adaptions. I think most Jane Austen adaptions are good. As for Fantasy, I think BBC Narnia and the first Disney Narnia, LotR (kind of...) and the first two HP movies. Oh, and CATS and Phantom - I know, both are musicals but there are movies (Phantom 2011, not the horrible 2004) of them and both are based on books. you?

Hmm I'm pretty fickle with film adaptations. But like Chiara mentioned with Jane Austen, I liked Emma, the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice and the Anne of Green Gables series (but only the first two parts).
