I just love hearing her voice in "The Parting Glass"! She has such a distinct voice, with the lilting (or is it melisma?). I can also hear it when she sings "Black is the Colour". I just can't get enough of it! She's amazing! (As all the Celtic ladies are, of course!)

   I'm  tempted to say "lilting"  but am not 100% on that.  but I did notice that our Sweet Lil' Lambe shows off her lovely Irish accent. I don't know if that might be considered a "brogue" ?  But whatever we call it, it is very pleasant to my ears too.  Smiley

Yes, I think it's just her particular tone.  And I agree -- it's so lovely and classic, especially that first line of The Parting Glass.
