I would, but I'm afriad that they'll think it's all original research unless I come up with sources to back up my claim. Besides Celtic Woman isn't as popular on wikipedia as it is on the forum. That's why nobody from here has a good page there. The more popular a wikipedia page is, the more likely it is to be accurate, in my opinion.

I've been trying to update bits and pieces of it over the past year:

Solo Albums:

Added some articles for solo albums and updated some of the existing ones (particularly, tried to add some references to keep the auditors at bay). Mostly, updated info for the original girls and their albums. Haven't gotten back to updating the rest.

Also updated some info for Lynn's Saturn Return.

Chloe:

Added some career accomplishments:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chlo%C3%AB_Agnew

Destiny:

Updated chart performance and some other things.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celtic_Woman:_Destiny

Added that Tara played the harp in the PBS special / DVD.

CaraNua:
I don't think I ended up making a CaraNua page yet because I don't yet have enough content to keep the auditors from attacking the relevance of the group and upsetting me.
I did add notes about CaraNua in Alex's and Lynn's pages.
I don't think Edel has a page yet.

Eabha

Updated Eabha's page with some additional details:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%89abha_McMahon

Tara:

Created an article for Tara and added Tara to the main Celtic Woman Wikipedia page as well.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tara_McNeill

Mairead Nesbitt

Updated Mairead Nesbitt's Wikipedia page to reflect her new projects / albums (Hibernia, Devil's Bit Sessions, violin line, etc.)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%A1ir%C3%A9ad_Nesbitt

Also updated Mairead's membership status on the main Celtic Woman Wikipedia page.

Voices of Angels:

Created a Celtic Woman: Voices of Angels page on Wikipedia and added track listing, chart performance, etc.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celtic_Woman:_Voices_of_Angels

Also, updated the main Celtic Woman article to reflect the Voices of Angels album.

Grammy Nomination:

Updated the Celtic Woman Destiny article on Wikipedia to reflect the Grammy nomination:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celtic_Woman:_Destiny

Also updated the main Celtic Woman Wikipedia article to reflect the Grammy nomination:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celtic_Woman#Albums

Member Timeline:

Added a member timeline / chart. That was quite a project:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celtic_Woman#Member_Timeline

I still had to estimate a few of the dates (and for guest appearances by former members on albums / DVDs, sometimes I just put that member down for the whole month in which that was done, otherwise, it was too hard to see that contribution in the chart. If anyone comes across anything that needs to be corrected, please let me know.

Stuff I Have Not Done Yet:

- CaraNua page
- Cleaning up the main Celtic Woman article. There's a lot of content to go through, clean up, update, source, and verify. It's going to be a big project.
- Adding solo albums that don't have pages yet
- Lisa Lambe ... I don't think I ever updated that she was working on a solo album, so I'll have to do that
- Glenn and Ronan page
- Need to add Mairead Carlin is working on a new album
- Eabha's page will need to be updated with her solo album information eventually. It currently says it's scheduled to be released in 2016. More likely 2017.
- I need to add the Children in Need special to Chloe's page
- I haven't been through Hayley's page in a while to see what needs updating

- Side-note: Looks like Songbook got added to Mairead Carlin's discography at some point. I didn't do it. That was a bit of a sensitive issue.

So lots to keep me busy. If anyone has updates they want made but aren't comfortable doing the edits themselves, let me know I guess and I'll take care of it.

The member timeline is fantastic! Can't thank you enough for doing it, as it really helps it seem more professional. I usually only see it in Kpop groups and some Jpop ones with member changes, so it's nice to see it for CW, especially with how confusing their membership timeline can be.

You're welcome.

The Celtic Woman timeline is definitely more complicated than a lot of the groups out there.

As complicated as their timeline is, the trickiest part of building the timeline for Wikipedia was finding documentation to support it in case the Wikipedia auditors came knocking. A lot of the start / end dates had to be inferred or even approximated from social media posts and forum posts, not exactly the formal, independent sources Wikipedia would prefer.

Updated the Destiny Wikipedia page with Destiny chart performance:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celtic_Woman

For us on the forum, here's some more detailed chart performance as well as a wrap-up at the end of the thread:

Funny of all the member's and their Timeline's looking @ them Meav's is the most interesting in appearance.>
Interesting, on the membership description for Lisa Lambe it states that Lynn Hilary returns on and will for Celtic Woman's next album and remains a member until the end of 2015. I wonder if that was the scenerio for Lynn for Destiny prior to the change with Eabha instead. Wink Was Meav part of this change I wonder.  Cheesy*

Maybe add pictures of the girls on all their pages. Just so so they all have one. And add one of the current line up on the main page?

Also, maybe the songs that are covers should have a link to the original song or album's page, ie have a link to Braveheart's soundtrack on For the Love of a Princess. Just an idea

We may never know.

The answers lie 'beyond the ancient fog' and perhaps that's sometimes for the best.  Wink

It's been a while since I've gotten around to updating the Celtic Woman content on Wikipedia.

I added "The Best of Christmas" to the discography on the main Wikipedia page and I'm hoping to make a separate article for the album this weekend.

Re: Homecoming, I'm waiting for the official announcement of general availability for the Celtic Woman Homecoming CD / DVD (as opposed to being a PBS pledge drive exclusive). I also want to have a look at the liner notes before I put that article up.

I made a Celtic Woman: The Best of Christmas article on Wikipedia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celtic_Woman:_The_Best_of_Christmas

I linked the album in Celtic Woman discography on the main Celtic Woman page on Wikipedia to the new album page.

Also, I updated the Voices of Angels article to point to Celtic Woman Homecoming as the next article in the chronology.

Side-note: Unless you do a lot of these on a regular basis (and perhaps even if you do), these things take much longer than they look (typing, formatting, researching content, sourcing, researching wikipedia standards, finding links, testing links, proofreading...). Hope you enjoy. Smiley

If you have any suggestions / things I should add / things to correct, please let me know.

Updated the Celtic Woman: Homecoming - Live from Ireland page:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celtic_Woman:_Homecoming_Live_from_Ireland

- Added a bunch of info (including sources) to the Background section
- Album cover
- Completed / corrected track listings for CD and DVD (will review / update them again once I receive the CD/DVD and check the liner notes)
- Also adding a note about Homecoming on the main Celtic Woman Wikipedia page and linking it over to the new Homecoming page
- Will add the chart performance after it officially appears on the charts after release

Created an article for the O Christmas Tree album.

For some reason, the page existed only as a redirect back to the main Celtic Woman Wikipedia article and didn't have it's own page, so I made one:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celtic_Woman:_O_Christmas_Tree

Tested the links from the following pages direct to the new O Christmas Tree page now:
- Emerald
- Destiny
- Main Celtic Woman page (Discography section)

If there's anything I should add / fix, please let me know.

Thanks.

Fixed up some things in the Homecoming article and added some more content. I think it's more or less complete for now, with chart performance to be added in a couple of weeks.

Here's the article:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celtic_Woman:_Homecoming_Live_from_Ireland

Any suggestions?  Please let me know.

Thanks!
