I never got to see it (though I would love to)... I know the songs, though. The music is by the fabulous, outstanding, wonderful Leonard Bernstein. The lyrics are by Stephen Sondheim (who is also very good).

It's a modern day Romeo and Juliet. It's set in the 50s in NY and it's about star crossed lovers, gangs and so on. It has very joyful scenes, but doesn't end happy - at least not for the lovers. It's Romeo and Juliet.

It's most known songs are I Feel Pretty, Tonight, Maria, America and Somewhere. Somewhere like the acapella song by CW.

Lisa Kelly played the role of Maria (Juliet) twice, Hayley Westenra sung her parts on a CD.

Yaaas! La Cage Aux Folles was my school musical last year and I had so much fun doing it. I really love 'We Are What We Are' and 'I Am What I Am'.

So I listened to the original cast recordings of Sweeney Todd and Spamalot yesterday while baking cookies.

...at least I wasn't making pies.

Same here! I think Jacob is especially funny, though possibly a bit exaggerated Grin

I think exaggeration is what show business is about Wink it was so much fun to perform and it was great to experiment with gender a little bit.
