It's obviously a Yamaha, but can anyone confirm that it's a Disklavier, as that electronic package under the right side of the keyboard suggests?  The Disklavier is an updated version of the Yamaha Pianocorder, which updated the old reproducing piano to use tape cassettes instead of paper rolls.  The Disklavier records on CDs.  Like the old Amplica reproducing piano, the Yamaha recorders don't record the sound of the piano, but the timing, force and duration of the player's keystrokes.  A composer would obviously benefit from the ability to improvise something and have a record in a form easily translated into standard musical notation.
