Misha just called to inform me that she was in the ER unit of a local hospital. One of her fingers got smashed in a car door and she used the word "mangled" to describe it . I know she could use all the positive vibes this forum can muster. I'm sure she will keep us updated as she is able. I believe her RA was there with her. Thinking of you right now Misha.  I hope the doctors will do their best. |

I was trying to stop myself from falling and got my finger caught in the hinge side of one of the bathroom doors in our dorm. The door is made of heavy metal and crushed my finger. I was alone at the time and managed to transfer back into my wheelchair and drive for help. One of our security guards called the ambulance and Roosevelt staff was with me at all times. had to go to the ER to get it repaired and found out in the process that I broke it. I'm in a ton of pain right now. The doctor said I was very lucky as most people with that injury lose part of their finger. I did not.

Ow! I am glad you did not lose any part of your finger, it could have been much worse! I will continue to pray for your recovery, and I hope the pain goes away soon!
