While a broken finger sucks, the good thing is it will heal and you didn't lose the finger. Hopefully the doctor gave you some good pain meds.

Just don't take too much Tylenol, it's not good for one's liver. If your stomach can tolerate it, you can take 4 Advil at once, twice a day. It's the same as the prescription for 800mg Ibuprofen.

It's now been about a week since the injury. Pain has reduced significantly and color has returned to both the nail bed and my fingertip. It is still sore but no longer unbearable.
