I went to Youtube and typed "Deirdre Shannon talking" and I tried some videos, but I don't think she sounded mature enough. Do you think there will be some of her talking in a mature voice?

Yes Kimberly,

I have about 23 minutes worth - high quality recording. Really nice. You will enjoy it.
It has been a while since I've listened but recall it was so nice to hear her voice just talking.

Let me dig through my computer to find it. I will find someplace
to upload so you and others can download it.

Ok, just opened up a dropbox account. Links below. If I understand
correctly you should be able to download. You don't need a dropbox account.

There are two files, About 20-25 MB each.  There are MP4 files. Actually
video files I believe. The quality is very good. Each file 10-12 minutes.

It was an interview on a Irish radio station. Approximately three years ago.
About the time she was finishing the recording of her latest CD, anamceol.

Let me know if any problem downloading.

Again, it is a delightful interview. Please post comments on your thoughts
after listening.

Edit: New to dropbox, but just tested the links - You can either play it from there and/or download the files

Thanks  for  the  Links  Lester-just  got  done  with  the  top  one.  Deirdre  just  seems  so  down  to  earth.  and  her  pronunciation of  Meav's  name  seems quite  foreign  to  the  way I  have  been  pronouncing  it.  It  could  be  a  matter  of  local  accents  and  dialects  and  such.  But  very  interesting.  Cool

If you were here a few hours earlier, I could've given you a Dropbox sign-up link that would've also increased your space by 500MB: Mine! Tongue

Thanks, Lester.  I love listening to Deirdre and her laugh does a lot for me.  She seems to be very happy.  Yes, I do remember Air Supply and "All Out Of Love."  The 1980's weren't that long ago.

Yeah, her pronunciation of Meav's name was a bit different for me too. Love her speaking voice. Even her Aw's have a nice tone.

Yes, it would be so nice just sitting down and having a cup of coffee (or tea) and talking with her.

I just didn't know. Sorry about that.

Thanks guys for posting.
