I love the sound a violin makes, it's an amazing instrument you can hear the sadness or the joy of a song. Mairead can bring this out like no other and you can tell she feels the power of the music if you watch her perform you can actually see the song it's amazing. What are your favorite songs Mairead plays. I mean solo and the group songs. me personally I love them all but I've been listening to "The Coast Of Galacia" a lot lately there's this part at 1:10 through 1:20 that I absolutely love. I like "Shenendoah" and that little intro bit before "Nil Se'n La" they do in the Emerald concert. and it's hard to hear but the fiddling she does in "Beyond The Sea" is beautiful too

Favourite slow / fast combo:
Shenandoah / The Pacific Slope (just edges out the Shenandoah / Contradiction combo for me).

So hard! There's so many good ones! Honourable mentions to The Coast of Galiçia and Granuaile's Dance.

Favourite slow song:
I'll be a little different...
There Is No Light (from Raining Up).

...such a pretty tune!

Most spectacular finale:
Granuaile's Dance
Can't beat the ending of this song. Feverish tempo, amazing tune, Mairead jumping and spinning excitedly all over the stage, audience going CWazy...  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Honestly, this is a bit of a problem for me as I could never pick a favorite song that Mairead Nesbitt has done. This is odd since I can figure out a favorite for a lot of the other members. I do know that I don't really like The Last Rose Fantasia as much as it just seems like she's doing scales and it doesn't sound as good to me as other songs.

I enjoyed it but I do love some of her other songs even more (Coast of Galiçia, Granuaile's Dance, any of the Shenandoah combos, There Is No Light / There Is No Night, Hills of Ireland ... she's amazing  Cheesy
