I know, our girls have lots of nicknames, but these are my favourites:
Chloe: The baby Órlagh: The angel Deirdre: The beauty Méav: The lark Máiréad N: The pixie Alex: The heart Hayley: The goldie Lynn: The faerie Lisa K: The voice Lisa L: Lil' Lambe Susan: The diamond (because she was a rough diamond in the beginning and is a diamond now) Mairéad C: The wee bird (because she is the 2nd youngest, the 2nd shortest and has a sweet, twittering, bird like voice)

I love all of those. Several years ago I saw an interview with Lisa Kelly when the original members were still with the group. The person asked Lisa to describe the other ladies with one word. It went like this:
Chloe - hip Mairead - energetic Meav - sensible Orlagh - angelic

There is no Lambe like our Lil' Lambe. Mairead Carlin is the real deal.

Here's how I think I can playfully call them:
Chloe - cutie pie Lisa - mother of four Meav - songbird queen Orla - twinkling star

I thought she called Méav "rational"? You may be correct. It has been a few years since I saw that interview.

I once referred to Lisa Lambe as "Mona Lisa Lambe" because she's so photogenic and always takes perfect pics lol. an official one for Mairead Carlin is "Mermaid" because she said people use to mispronounce her name and call her Mermaid I like "Songbird" for her too or maybe "Lil songbird" lol we should have all the girls with "lil" in front of their nicknames
Lil Songbird Lil Lambe Lil Suzie Lil Pixie

...and come to think of it only Meav is "The Lark " or the "Celtic Songbird" . The former is the name of her quarterly newsletter and the latter is the name of her website.

Personally, I would like to call Susan "Susie Q" but I don't know if anyone else would.
