Mine are Egyptian But I don't think I have Egyptian roots, despite humans basically coming from there...

Every place in the world is of the same age But some states have been founded earlier or later... However, several countries changed government and new states were founded. So... the places where Egypt and Germany are have the same age, but the countries were founded at different times and there have been other lands before.

As for the people - humanity is assumed to have originated in North Africs/Egypt and then populated the rest of the world. So, basically Egyptians are longer around than German, by that logic.

Nowadays, toe patterns can hardly be associated with one's ethnical roots.
